Sevres" in a rectangle 2. AB2 97 This"Sevres" mark was used between 1860-1899 I believe the"97" might be the year for this figure I have owned this Sevres boy for about 40 years and he has been kept in a glass curio cabinet in a smoke-free home. French Bisque Boy Welcome to my auction! For your consideration is an antique French Bisque porcelain boy. Circa 1900 or so. He is fairly large at approximately 10 inches tall. Weight is about 1 pound and 11 ounces. Beautiful, soft colors with little gold painted buttons. He has a basket on his arm and a larger one on his back.these are ideal to use as holders for dried flowers or other ornamental objects. Condition: There is some damage to the porcelain's finish on the right side of his face. On his arm, and on the top of the basket on his back-this looks a little like crazing. He has a tiny, tiny chip on the blonde curl at the center of his forehead.this is barely noticeable. Vintage Boy Doll Body Figure Glazed Porcelain Ceramic
This is a vintage boy doll figure that I purchased at a recent estate sale. This piece is made of a porcelain or ceramic material…not sure how to tell the difference and has been glazed with a beautiful finish. The condition is very good with no chips or cracks. But the arms are gone. If you are a doll maker I’m sure you would know what to do with this beautiful piece. The overall size is 10” H x 2 ½” W at the hip area x 2 ½” D at the head. There is a small green spot on the belly of the doll, but it appears to be under the glazing…so it is not any sort of damage. Also, there are NO Markings anywhere that I can see on this piece.
