Unique pair of cherubs playing musical instruments. Bottom is stamped with'W' 1764' and a crown. The one with the flute has a sticker"Made in Germany(East) They each measure 5"x2" These figurines were designed by Kurt Steiner in the 1920's and produced behind the Iron Curtain in the 1960's by Wallendorf. I haven't seen any others like these.

The makers mark on the bottom as seen in picture 7, is of a pair of scissors with hand painted at the top, 18 and 59 in the middle on both sides of the scissors and at the bottom Under Glaze is written, below the tips of the scissors is the letter C and also on the bottom is a label stating Genuine Glazed Porcelain, Made in East Germany. The figurine shows a young girl trying to shoo a goose away using an umbrella. Vintage east german porcelain girl & boy with goose figurines crown S mark
Up for auction is a beautiful pair of east german porcelain figurines. The first is a small boy with a goose. Please notice the picture of his repaired right hand and the flaw on the bill of the goose. He measures approximately 6 1/2 inches tall and 6 1/2 wide at the widest point. These flaws show well in the photos. But not too noticeable as you look at the whole piece. The girl is in very good condition, with the exception of one VERY small chip on the base. She measures approximately 7 inches tall, and 7 inches wide at the widest point. This is a darling set. Both are marked with the crown, S, and gdr.
