This is a gorgeous pair of large handpainted porcelain figural KPM sleighs! A boy and girl dressed in Royal clothing and both sleighs covered in apprlied porcelain flowers. Beautiful! They are heavy weighted porcelain and each measure approximately 8 inches high by 10 inches wide. Both have some chipping to the applied flowers and leaves and on the boy's sleigh. It looks like there is some yellowing and wear to the paint/glaze. Not readily noticed on display unless you are looking. Overall a gorgeous Victorian pair for the collector! This is a really pretty lace dress figurine of a girl with flowers. The bottom has the"MZ" mark with a crown and beneath it is Germany. It's in very good condition but does have one small spot(1/4" of lace broken just below her left flower and a very small piece of lace missing on the bottom right side. It's not unusual on these lace dresses and it doesn't show. Otherwise I see no cracks. Chips, or crazing. It stands about 3 3/4" tall. It has a very pretty face and gold flowers and trim. This is a pair of colonial or victorian boy and girl porcelain figurines. Each is handpainted and has beautiful ruffled edges on their clothing made of porcelain and accented in gold gilt. Circa 1880, that are both handpainted in pastel blue colors. The figurines are 5 1/2 inches tall and are in excellent condition. The boy is holding a canvas and painting a bird while the girl is looking over her shoulder. The markings on the boy are hard to distinguish as it looks like EBS impressed, but the girl has the EBS Blue anchor under glaze and EBS impressed(more clearly) and the number 494. Ebay Listing Page RARE Large 20" Antique Sitzendorf Porcelain Maiden& Lamb Figurine Item Description: Up for auction is a stunning antique porcelain grand scale porcelain figurine manufactured in Sitzendorf. Thuringia, Germany between 1887-1900. The figurine was manufactured by the highly collectible Sitzendorfer Porcelain Works and it features a young maiden with a lamb seated at her foot. The figurine is very intricate with separated fingers, raised flowers and ruffles, and texture work on the lamb's fleece and the branches of the tree. The skirt is decorated with hand-painted flowers and the base is adorned with gold accents. The underside of the figurine is marked with the Sitzendorf mark in cobalt blue. Overall the figurine stands about 19 1/2" tall. This is about as nice as they come! I do have the matching figurine ... morethat accompanies this one, which is a boy with a dog. If interested, please let me know. Item Condition: The overall condition of the figurine is excellent. I have surveyed every detail on this piece down to each flower petal. Leaf, finger, piece of lace, etc. I have found no chips, cracks, flakes, or repairs. It is quite difficult to find a piece with this much intricate work that has absolutely no flaws. The white porcelain is still quite bright, but it could use a good cleaning. It is slightly dirty in some areas, especially some of the crevases where dust tends to collect and settle over many years. I see no crazing to the glaze, and it is bright and glossy. The base has standard rubbing and dirt from years of use and display, and the trademark is easy to read. This would make an excellent display piece or be a fine addition to someone's collection! I believe this pair of figurines are German porcelain Volkstedt Dresden unmarked. The craftsmanship is so remarkable! If you look closely you can see the separation of the fingers on their hands; their eyes are painted with precision and their clothing is loaded with detail even in the tiny flowers on the boy's vest. This kind of craftsmanship isn't something you will see in your everyday porcelain figurine. I purchased this set of figurines in Tucson. Az in 1992. when I was helping with an estate sale for the home of one of the Hewlett Packard family members. They were originally a pair of lamps but I chose to keep them as figurines. The girl figure measures 8 1/4" high. 4" wide. The boy figure measures 9" high, 4 1/2" wide. The condition is very good to excellent. No cracks. Chips. All the fingers are intact ... moreas are the cluster of roses on the front of the bases. The only real wear is in the lace on the girl. It has darkened over the years and some of it has come away from the figure. None of it is missing. The number 6154 appears on the bottom of each base. Lovely Irish Dresden figurine in pink. This is"Dorothea" and she is from the Muller-Volkstedt factory in Ireland. She stands about 4.25" high and seems to be in excellent condition. Please enlarge each photo however, so that you can check every angle. Sometimes it is difficult to see if some of the fragile lace is missing if it is not an obvious flaw. This figurine in is VERY GOOD condition. It depicts a young girl with a flower bouquet. A lovely lace dress, a black dog- adorned with a second bouquet and several flowers dotting the dress. The markings in green ink(on the bottom of the figurine) include a large'K' with a 3-pring crown above. The word'DARLING' is printed beneath the'K' It is also marked'GERMANY' and GES copyright with smeared information afterwards. The figurine is marked 0/797 with a paper label. The lace is very elaborate and appears to be intact. It was stored in the original box but the box is brittle. Cracked and distorted.
