The keys are bright with strong lettering. It looks complete and ready to restore. I could not find another of this model on Ebay selling OR sold in the past 6 months. Additional Information: A Janus Reliquary Figure(Byeri Figures) from the Fang people(Ntumu Sub-group Northern Fang) Equatorial Guinea. This Janus guardian figure is not often noted among the Fang, although early reports mention male-female reliquary figures on shrines. This is a Very strong sculpture with a lot of presence! As sculpture. These Byeri figures stand out as a fine example of good carving in a later Fang style, and the sculptural detail is testament to the Fang artist who shaped them. Fang memorial sculpture has a long history of use and was in fact photographed as early as 1907(Tessmann 1913/1972, vol. II) However the cult of Byeri began to lose its prominence after 1910 due to colonial government pressure. During migrations which took place in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, the Fang people moved to their present area becoming part of a complex overlay of population of approximately 200,000 which stretches from southern Cameroon into Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. Living in small forest communities, the Fang focused upon tightly knit kinship and lineage systems. Stressing continuity and relationships, the kinship system was employed to emphasize the veneration of ancestors through the use of figurative sculptures. Among the Baule of the Ivory Coast this dark painted circular mask surmounted by horns is known as Goli Kple kple. The surface shows traces of red pigment and wear. Historically the mask was a late introduction to the Baule who acquired it from the neighboring Wan people sometime around 1900. It appears during ceremonies celebrating the life and death of honored elders or at other times will dance to simply entertain the village or celebrate the harvest. The Baule have a number of different masks ranging from refined portrait masks to large headpieces representing wild buffalo or antelope and are exuberantly carved and painted. The Kple kple mask was one of a set of masks that appear during a ceremony and is identified with the spirit of the young men who dance the mask. Additional Information: A Janus Reliquary Figure(Byeri Figures) from the Fang people(Ntumu Sub-group Northern Fang) Equatorial Guinea. This Janus guardian figure is not often noted among the Fang, although early reports mention male-female reliquary figures on shrines. This is a Very strong sculpture with a lot of presence! As sculpture. These Byeri figures stand out as a fine example of good carving in a later Fang style, and the sculptural detail is testament to the Fang artist who shaped them. Fang memorial sculpture has a long history of use and was in fact photographed as early as 1907(Tessmann 1913/1972, vol. II) However the cult of Byeri began to lose its prominence after 1910 due to colonial government pressure. Mad Fiber Wheels - Damaged w/some Repairs - 700c Clincher MadFiber Front & Right
I am listing this officially as for"Parts& Repair. The wheel itself only has about 20 miles on it but this is one of the rims that delaminated from the brake surface. So to be clear it was never in a wreck and never had a crack. But the bonding that holds the carbon rim portion to the bridge of the brake surface was not strong enough and it delaminated. This is a pretty common event for these MadFiber rims, look it up and learn. I was originally going to race the wheel after I completed the repairs. We did some repairs with Araldite 2011 wheel building epoxy and did not to the cleanest job as you can see. You could sand the areas down. There may be a couple of small pockets along the brake surface in need of epoxy(maybe 2-3 inch segments) this was an unfinished project. But I can tell you that when finished, with all of this epoxy, ... morethere is no way it will delaminate again. The hub and spokes look great and honestly the rim looks new other than the repair. The ceramic bearings are silky smooth and I would say the rim has a slight left to right wobble at 1-2mm, perhaps that will go away entirely when finished. I was going to use this is a Time Trial wheel but have decided to go with a trispoke instead. It weighs just 541 grams on my digital scale. I will not accept returns on this item so please understand the item condition and history. I make no guarantees that you will be able to ride this wheel. I am selling it strictly as parts and repair. Spec's: 2014 MadFiber front rim- 20 miles of use- rim surface delaminated- repair attempted with gobs of epoxy- selling as parts& repair only- also included are MadFiber brake pads for this rim So.
