These are three unmarked porcelain items for the Victorian bathroom. a pitcher. Chamber pot and a large pot I cant find a name to. All are in perfect shape with no chips or cracks. There is normal ware and fading of the gold trim and crazing on the items. these are gorgeous items and can be sold together as a set or individually. I have them listed together but can make other arrangements if interested. There is no bowl to the pitcher. I have shown in the pictures all to be seen. I will list measurements tomorrow. These items are very large and must be shipped in three separate boxes. They will require packing material x 3, Insurance on all three, and delivery confirmation. Bowl and bottom of soap dish have the stamp with the horses. The Chamber Pots do not have the stamp. But both have the same small squiggle mark(also shown in a photos) The Bowl also has what looks to be an"8" The Soap Dish bottom and inside of the lid have what appear to be a similar markings. But both different(what looks to be a“31” on inside of lid, and“D” on bottom of soap dish. Unsure. But these seem like potters marks? All can be seen in pictures. Although little of it was made in the city! Its potting tradition is less well known, but in the early 18th century it was second only to London in its production of decorative ware. Production of delftware began at Brislington around 1652. The first pottery in the city started in 1683. At Temple Backs. In the early 18th century production spread to Limekiln Lane and Redcliff Back, and there were also a number of smaller potteries. Millions of pieces of delftware were made in Bristol- production on an industrial scale. Some of the best Bristol pieces are landscapes and those with the bianco-sopra-bianco border. By 1777 only Temple Backs remained, as delftware was made obsolete by the more durable Staffordshire creamware. Temple Backs changed to creamware production and later became known as Pountneys. Potty Babies, Black & White Babies Kissing, Chamber Pots, 4" Tall Bisque
This is a bisque figurine of 2 babies. One black and one white, sitting on chamber pots and kissing. The figurine is 4" tall. The white baby has handpainted features and blue eyes. The colors are painted in underglaze, not cold paint. The babies' sleeves on their gowns have a clear glaze. There is gold trim on 2 of the sleeves and on the rims of their scarves. Most figurines of this type were made in Germany in the early 1900's; this figurine is not marked but I believe it to be an antique. It is in excellent condition; no chips or cracks. Vintage 2 1/4" Chamber Pot Salt and Pepper shakers- marked Fill'er up with Salt and Fill'er up with Pepper in very good condition. Very light crazing on both. Otherwise no chips, cracks or wear on wording. Both have stoppers, there is not maker's mark on either shaker. These were part of a set given to the lady mentioned below from a friend who collected and she marked these on bottom with 1941 when she received them. Buyer to pay $3.25 shipping charge. These came from an estate of a lady that was 96 when she passed away and had been collecting since she was 8 years old. So she had a lot of older sets. Lot Antique Miniature chamber pots, porcelain hand painted GERMANY, GOO GOO EYE
Up for sale is a lot of 5"Made in Germany" Goo Goo chamber pots. In the late 1800's-early 1900's the Germans invented the expression"Goo Goo Eyes" for another person and this phrase then took off and the world began making items with the words"Goo Goo Eyes" imprinted on them. The larger pot has"Made in Germany" stamped on it. Which means it is Pre WWII. These could have been used for a doll house or as a salesman sample. These are possibly German lusterware or porcelain with some gold trim and lettering. The three smaller pots and the larger one has"Go way back and sit down" the other small one without the gold inlay in the inside says"Nothing too good for me" on the outside and is stamped in gold"Made in Germany" on the bottom. The four small ones measure 3/4" ... moretall and 1.25 across top/handle.The large one measures 1.25 Tall and 2" across top/handle. I am offering to sell my antique Porcelain Commode Set matching two pots. This lovely set was made by the GLASGOW POTTERY CO. of Trenton N.J. 1859-1906] The small pot is marked J.M.L. Co and the large is J.M. Co. John Moses& Co] both with Eagles. I identified this with the KOVELS` NEW DICTIONARY OF MARKS. The condition is very good with the only flaws are two hairlines at the top of the large storage pot shown. With the lid in place it is hardly visible. There are no chips on either pots. The beautiful shade of pink has not been enhanced. The photos are accurate to the true colors. Delicate flowers decorate this fine set. This was passed down from my Grandparents. I have double boxed the pots for shipping. I would consider pick-up, Greenfield, In 46140. The size of the the small pot is 8 1/4" wide, with handle 101/4" by 5" ... morein height. VICTORIAN DOULTON BURSLEM FLOW BLUE ENGLISH WASH BASIN SET: PITCHER CHAMBER POTS
This flow blue six piece ironstone wash basin set in the Florida pattern was made by Doulton Burslem in England. The back stamp indicates it dates to 1891-1902. The set includes a very large pitcher and basin. Two chamber pots, a tall mug, and a section of a soap dish. The photos are arranged to show the items in that order. The set is in various conditions. The large basin has been beautifully restored after being broken in a number of places. Observe in photo#4 a yellowing color which shows where repairs were made in the early 70’s; the surface, however, remains smooth and shows no cracks. One of the chamber pots has three chips out of the top rim, the other a small one. Vintage 1940s Doll House german-Made Miniature Porcelain Chamber Pots? & S&P
This assortment of 1940's vintage German-made collectibles appear to be made of a glazed pottery/porcelain and are in pretty nice shape with a few minor defects and are NOT NEW OR PERFECT. It consists of a 2" x 2-1 1/2" handled mug and a 1 3/4" x 1 1/2" lidded cup(both marked with the phrase"Go Way Back and Sit Down" in gold) and are marked as Made in Germany. Another larger handled cup with gold trim marked with the phrase"Evening Exercise" is also marked German made and has a chip in the rim. And very attractive, large Victorian earthenware water closet set, in a deep turquoise, with polychrome transfer and lustre decoration by Pratt. It consists of two chamber pots with lids, a large, lidded slop pot, a wash basin and pitcher, a lidded soap dish, and two toothbrush holders. Each piece is ornately banded and decorated with a pastiche of neo-Gothic. And Greek key ... moredesigns, in shades of beige, golden yellow, white, and dark brown, against a deep turquoise background. The lids have lustre finials. In the form of fruits and nuts. The chamber and slop pots have intact, foliate handles. The elongated. Cylindrical brush holders have flared, pierced bottoms that rest in small, curved dishes at the bases. The oval, lidded soap dish is fitted with a removable, pierced, ceramic drainer. Chamber and slop pots were used as indoor toilets. From Roman times, until indoor plumbing became common-place, in the early 20th century. They were often stored under the bed, or in a cupboard fitted for the purpose of containing them. This chamber pot set dates from around 1870. It is very unusual to come across a set with so many pieces. TWO Different Bisque Porcelain Black Americana Boys On Chamber Pots Figurines
Vintage two Black Americana small boys bisque porcelain figures. Both are sitting on chamber pots. The larger one measures 3 3/8" tall and in the opening underneath. Written in black is a number and also the original price of.75. The smaller one measures about 2" tall and has the price of 2.00 written in black underneath on the bottom and Japan incised on his back. He has a slice of watermelon in one hand and a partial"gold" coin on the back right over the top of the chamber pot. They both have some paint wear due to age but no chips or cracks. I know that some would consider this in the worst possible taste. Every time I see it, it makes me laugh An antique original. Most likely made in Germany during the mid C19th, this little cruet depicts a toilet, with lifting lid, flanked by two chamber pots with the original matching spoon which sits neatly in the hole made in the china or porcelain lid Designed to serve mustard. Salt and pepper Beautifully modelled. The unglazed base has the numbers 324 impressed on the base as shown A simple wire hinge mechanism.
