This is an antique Anzengruber Keramik Wien ceramic figure from a local estate. It features a jolly bearded pirate figure with brass ear-ring. Winking at the viewer while hoisting a tankard in mid-toast. It's large, measuring 9 3/4" tall x 5 1/2" diameter at the base. No cracks or repairs. The only thing we see to mention is a small glaze nick at the tankard(see close-up image at tip of pencil) Not technically MINT, so being sold as-found for restoration or display. This auction is for an important. Early Goldscheider Art Deco pottery wall mask. This piece has a chip to the very top of the head dress, please see the last photograph) This wall mask is marked; GOLDSCHEIDER MADE IN AUSTRIA. This mark was used before the Goldscheider factory left Vienna in 1938 to start factories in England and it also predates the opening of the New Jersey factory in 1940. The reverse of this piece is also impressed with correct factory numbers. This is one of the most beautifully decorated Goldscheider wall masks I have ever encountered.
