Antique or Vintage Capodimonte porcelain figurine Blonde baby girl in dress holding her blue shoe 4 3/4" tall by 3 1/4" by 4" her extended leg) Here is a nice what we believe is a Capodimonte porcelain figurine. The figure is in good condition. There aren't any chips or cracks. No missing fingers etc. The painting is still pretty vibrant on this piece. Nice blonde/yellow hair and pale dress with pale blue shadows. On the bottom is a blue mark that is an N with a crown above it, which led us to believe it was a Capodimonte piece. This is an adorable Victorian Courting Couple boy& girl figurine made in Italy. They are seated and he is looking down at her hand. It looks like she is about to hand him a flower. Approximately 5 inches tall to top of tree branch and 6 inches wide at widest point. Stamped on the side of the base with blue Capodimonte Crown and N mark. The jovial Bacchanalian scene consists of 7 figures laughing and frolicking. The overglaze is baked to perfection giving a stunning wet. Cream-like appearance throughout the whole scene, done in vivid, bright colors. The gilted items are also greatly detailed and have a satin-like finish matching the beautifully crafted border. Notice the figures have highly detailed fingers and toes with toenails. There are a couple of areas with very minor chips, the Cherub in the back has part of two fingers missing and the lady in yellow has part of two toes(on the raised foot) missing, there might be tiny leaf tips chipped, as well. Othere than these, the ... morepiece is in excellent condition and none of the condition issues mentioned are visible from the front area. Measurements are 15" high by 11 1/2" wide. I believe this piece to be quite scarce. This would be one of Cappe's grandest works. We had this piece in white and I must say that to see it with the beautiful colors and skill of the painter, this piece really comes to life, it is masterfully done with tight detail in every little area you look. Hand painted according to the ancient tradition of Capodimonte on the wood base. The height of figurine with the base is 12 inches. The height of the base is 1.25 inch. Size of the base is 10.5 by 17.5 inches. I wasn't able to find similar figurine for sale in USA. About Capodimonte Porcelain: Total figurative art. Sculpture and painting were combined with the first principles of porcelain by the Chinese in 500 B.C. Unique pieces were produced and, for the first time in the history of art, attemps to imitate it were made all over the world until in 1743 Carlo III of Bourbon founded the first european factory to the hill of Capodimonte. Later, Napoleon authorized use of the imperial initial, ... morethe famous crowned N, in recognition of the unbeatable quality of the mixture. What does this mixture actually consist of? Not just kaolin but a much more mysterious combination of secret formulas which make the Capodimonte porcelain and in particular the"VENERE PORCELLANE" unique in the world. Hardly anything is knows about the magic alchemies of the Capodimonte school. Only some of the tecniques are know: backing at 1240° and consequent vitrification. It seem easy! It is during vitrification, however, that the secret formulas and the skilled hand of theitalian artiss are decisive. Finnally there is the colouring, using powder pigments wich are also secret and mixed according to personal recipes with natural essences of turpentine, lavender and other essential oils, each colour backing at its own temperature. Some of the colours PORCELLANE" for example, are only uses 24k fine gold wich, with its polished finish, requires individual backing.

This is made in Italy Capodimonte Porcelain"San Marco" of Vicenza Figurine of a Young Girl with Ducks. Her apron is full of flowers. She is barefoot and a mother duck and two babies are walking with her. There is something next to the mother duck, a bowl of food or a piece of fruit, not sure. There are a few chips on the pedals and leaves, in my opinion you don't even notice unless looking very closely. She has flowers and a ribbon in her hair. Milan, Italy, or Capodimonte Capo Di Monte collectibles are porcelain pieces that are highly colored and have a strong relief style. Antique French Porcelain Figurine Capodimonte Style Mark Hand Painted Samson
This early 1900s 5 7/8” tall x 2 5/8” diameter(base) hand painted porcelain figuring with hand formed and applied roses on the base bears a blue underglaze mark similar to Capodimonte and is marked made in France on the bottom. Obviously an early 20th century statuette inspired by the work of Capodimonte. It is likely the work of Samson or other Paris area porcelain manufacturer. It is free of cracks, chips and repairs. There are infinitesimal color losses on the end of the blossoms. The edges are sharp/rough, so I cannot tell if these 2 or 3 tiny spots are damage or manufacturing imperfections.
