She carries a basket of flowers and a dead rabbit. The whole model is colourfully and skilfully hand painted. Particularly towards the clothing and face, lovely quality and detail. Difficult to date but quite a delicate refined piece suggesting it is of some age. There is a little damage to some leaves and flower petals as I have illustrated in the photographs. Fortunately. The damage is hardly noticeable unless under scrutiny. There is no restoration or further damage. This young woman measures 7½ inches tall and is marked on the base with the blue crown and“N” There is a small impressed“6” on the base. Vtg Whimsical Capodimonte Signed Scaggiari Drunken Husband Angry Wife Figurine
This is a whimsical Capodimonte figurine. Measuring 10 1/2" tall. It shows an older couple- the husband looking a little worse for wear with a bottle of wine in one hand and a glass in the other; the wife is propping him up with one hand and holds a rolling pin in the other(no doubt to clobber him with! It is signed Scaggiari on the back and has a Capodimonte crown over N mark which is a little hard to decipher. It is hand painted. There are no chips or cracks. But a couple of very small spots missing paint, which is quite normal. I see the same figurine sold recently on e-bay UK for 132 British Pounds. Which is about $200. I believe this figurine originally stood on a pedestal base. But it displays perfectly fine without. The details of the facial expressions are particularly interesting. Shipping includes insurance.

I'm selling this vintage large Capodimonte figurine for a local estate. It was made in Italy. It looks like the cobbler is trying to tell the girl that her shoe cannot be repaired. The detail in this piece is amazing. The nails. Hammer, faces, etc. The piece is marked on the bottom with a crown over an N. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, breaks or repairs.

This figurine is of a scholar. There is a letter in his hand and he is pondering something. It's a humorous piece and in excellent condition. This figurine stands 13" tall and just under 6" wide. Capo-di-Monte porcelain was first made in Naples. Italy, from 1743 to 1759. The factory moved near Madrid, Spain, reopened in 1771, and worked to 1821. Since that time, the Doccia factory of Italy acquired the molds and is using the crown and N mark.

This auction is for a beautiful vintage white glazed porcelain figurine of a young lady with a flower. The figurine stands almost 6" tall and is about 3.75" in diameter at the base. Limited Edition Capodimonte Old Man Figurine Signed by Nico Venzo( click picture for more photographs) Bearded gray haired old man. Possibly a hobo, wearing tattered clothes seems to be either putting coals into the makeshift stove or is cooking chestnuts. The base measures approximately 10" x 8 1/4" and stand 9 3/4" tall. It has the blue crown Capodimonte mark on the lower edge and is also signed by Nico Venzo. It is a heavy piece weighing nearly 5 pounds. The Capodimonte style came from the merging of Ginori, in Italy, and Ernst Boehm, in Germany, creating exquisite porcelain. The mark of the crown over the N underglaze identifies the maker and time period of the 1890s. There is also an embossed number 56, and another identifying mark resembling a long key. The figurine is 2 3/4" high and the base is 2" across. The pair are elaborately dressed in the period they represent. There is remarkable detail in the figurine, especially in the faces. Beautiful vintage Italian pair that have an older mint mark.crown over N. Pre-Capodimonte as we know it today. These cherubs do not have wings and never did. They are just naked children sitting on the side of planters? Cute little butts! Lovely colors and scroll-work. The detail on them is really nice. Hand painted features and gold trim. Natural slight wear to the flesh color and hair. Completely normal for pieces this old. Roses look perfect. There is one spot of dark on on one rose. But that is gold paint.the artists brush must have touched it. One small firing line on the inside of one.inherent to the piece. I believe a tiny tip of one pinkie is missing. Hubby says no.but I think I see where it could have been. All in all. BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE PIECES! Each one measures about 5 inches high. 6 inches wide and 3 inches deep. Which was established in Naples, Italy, in 1743. Capodimonte porcelain was made in direct emulation of Meissen porcelain and is famous for its moulded figurines and its decorative modelled flowers applied to cups and vases. Capodimonte is widely considered to be among the finest Italian porcelain products in the world. This is a beautiful antique Capodimonte figurine of an elegant and romantic couple in period dress made of Italian white porcelain. The couple. In full formal attire, are sitting on what appears to be a stone wall. The woman is holding an open book but is very attentive to the gentleman who appears enamored of her. He puts one hand behind her back while with the ... moreother he is ready to grasp her face as if to kiss her. Great attention to detail was given in sculpting the figurine. In the period clothes, the wigs, the base and most importantly the blissful expressions on both of their faces. Figurine measures approximately 6 1/2 inches high with the base 5 1/4 inches wide. It is in excellent condition for its age with the exception of what I believe is one tiny leaf missing from the right side of the flower that the woman wears in the middle of her bodice(photo 10) There is also a tiny 1/2 inch firing separation in the inside crease of the man's arm near his shoulder(photo 11) that is very difficult to see and which I only noticed after photographing the piece. Purchased at an estate sale from a house full of beautiful antiques. The exact age of the figurine is unknown, but the piece is marked with a very old Capodimonte mark of a N with a crown in blue on its base.
