Vintage Germany Porcelain Bisque Piano Baby Figurine Doll from estate LR? Crown?
I recently purchased this beautiful. Bisque/porcelain piano baby at an estate. I uploaded 9 pictures hoping you can tell more about it and the condition. I am not sure of the exact age or the maker. I took a close up picture of the imprinting on the back, bottom side and on the bottom. There's some numbers that are difficult to make out on the back side near the bottom and then'Germany' going across. On the bottom looks to be a crown with the initials'LR' It looks to be in good displayable condition. I do not see any chips, nicks or cracks. I did notice, and I think it was in the making, at the top of one of its arms, there's a little place and not even sure how to describe. It's where the skin color is suppose to be to the edge of the arm sleeve but it has a spotting or place where it looks like some of it was ... moreleft off in the making? again.not sure how to describe. I tried to get a close-up of it so hopefully you can see what I am referring to. It measures approximately 5 3/4 inches tall. It depicts a little boy with a bowl in his lap. Spoon in his right hand, and a bib. This was hand painted on the front. The back was not painted as was the custom at the time. This auction is for antique German bisque Schafer and Vater figural elephant shaving mug. It is well molded with nice relief and detail. It has a cameo of ballerina on each side and figural elephant handles. The condition is very good undamaged. There is only minor paint wear on the gold. Huge German Bisque Figurine, Viking, Lohengrin, Beaded
Large Bisque Figurine of Lohengrin in his Swan Drawn Boat. This piece is about 14" long and 12" high. It has no repairs. Cracks, crazing or scratches. Unfortunately it does have three flaws. The bottom of the swan's bill is gone, pictures 1, 4, 5, and 9) and there is a small chip on the right wing of his helmet. Also, there are some stains on the piece, an orange one in the bottom of the boat and several green ones which may be paint and might have happened at the factory. I do not know if they will come out or not. All of the figurines belonged to my mother-in-law; they have been in my garage since 2002, and some of them will need to be washed. I know nothing about cleaning bisque or I would take care of it. There is no maker's mark. No mold mark and no country of origin. Although for many years we called him the Viking, ... moreI do think that he was created to do homage to Wagner's opera, Lohengrin. Therefore, I am pretty sure he is German. If I am wrong, please let me know, and I will make the correction. This is an extremely detailed piece. There are hundreds of gold and white beads on the base. The waves, the boat, the swan and the knight's pants, cloak, mail top and helmet. I am not going to count them- there may be thousands. The colors in the photographs are, for once, representative of the piece so I am only going to point out details that I found amazing. 1. The shield is painted with a gold swan and decorated with white beads. You have to turn the piece upside down to see this. 2. His cloak has been molded to give the illusion of wind-I think the boat is underway. See photos 10 and 11. 3. The swan was molded to show individual feathers; a pink neck ring and a pink beaded bow on the gold reins have been added for contrast. 4. The base of the piece and the shape of the boat echo the rippling of the waves. 5. The top of his hat is shaped into wings with feathers to echo the feathers on the swan. 6. Antique Stamped German Conta Boehme? Porcelain Bisque Girl Piano Baby Figurine
~ Antique German Piano Baby ~ Marked"Germany" on base with symbol that resembles a shield This is a large antique German bisque piano baby figurine that is from a deceased relative's China cabinet from the New Orleans area. I am not an expert on all the manufacturers of that era. But I do know that the authentic ones are marked or stamped with a symbol, crest or shield. This one has a stamp and also reads"Germany" on the base, while many others listed on eBay do not. So this one is not"probably" the real deal. IT IS. It is in the style of Conta& Boehme( This baby girl has golden tresses and is holding a cup. The era of this doll falls between the 1850s-1900. She has great, even pastel coloring and big dark-blue intaglio eyes with defined highlights, rosy cheeks with a hint of dimples, and an open smiling ... moremouth with row of molded upper teeth; blonde hair with pointy curls framing the happy face; bare feet with upturned toes; she wears a yellow embossed dress with gold highlights with blue lace ruffle trim and fuchsia pink bows at the shoulders, and she is holding a lavender-pink-colored cup. She is in overall fair condition. Because she is missing a little part of her index finger on her right hand. There is also a hairline on underside of base that slightly and very faintly extends up the bottom sides of the figurine(about 1/2-1/4 inch, please see photo) The hair line is smooth. I do not have the tip of the finger. PLEASE SEE PICS of underside and edge of base. Neither the hair line or little chip next to it is visible for purposes of display. I do not know enough about antique porcelain to know if the missing finger can be repaired/replaced, but I am guessing that this is possible if someone chooses to do so. This lady is absolutely gorgeous. And nearly perfect in structural condition. No chips or cracks. There are some patches. At the neck, which appear to be some type of adhering agent. She needs to be cleaned. But i am leaving that, to the buyer, so that they can give her the delicate care, that she deserves. Head has original pin, which allows free movement, and the hands have the original wires, so that they can balance small bisque balls on both hands and head, for your royal entertainment. There are no identifying marks, though I do believe her to be made in Japan, sometime in the late 1940's or early 1950's, and brought to America, by Ardalt. Superb! Antique German Porcelain Bisque Children Figure Bust Figurine Dresden
Gorgeous pair of Victorian handpainted busts of a little girl and boy. They date late 1800s and are beautifully handpainted and modeled. Measure approximately 11 and 10 1/2 inches high by 6 inches wide. They display wonderfully however the boy's hat has been broken and reglued to a section(see photos) and the girl is excellent besides a bit of paint wear on her chin and some nibbles to the very bottom base. Darling Baby Piano Girl This baby piano figurine is in very good condition without any chips or cracks; Very fine face. Hands, feet detail, blonde wavy hair with blue eyes. She is lying on her stomach with her head up and one hand placed floor for support. The colors are very light, skin tone bisque porcelain and her dress in faded pink with ruffled neckline. Featured for Auction we have an Antique/ Vintage bisque figurine of a cherub on the side of a dragon headed sleigh. Wonderful coloring. Probably hand painted in pastel colors, with raised enamel. At least we believe this is bisque it may be porcelain. The little cherub is just adorable with his wavy hair, blue eyes, pink wings, and his arrow on his side. It measures about 8 1/2" long by 5" wide and 6" tall. We believe it is German in Origin, but are not certain as there are No Markings. It is in wonderful condition, with minor chipping on the flowers. Also we don't know if the dragons nose is supposed to blunt as it is or if it was pointy originally and broken off and repainted, as it is hard to tell. Antique Vintage German Bisque Doll or Girl figurine Planter with Cherub or Angel
You are bidding on one vintage bisque figurine made in Germany. This is a nice size piece. To me it looks like paradise. This is a very whimsicle piece. It measures approx 8 1/4 inches tall. Across the bottom 7 1/2 inches long by 4 1/2 inches wide. Measured across the front approx 8 inches long. This item is marked. It appears to be a G Dep and a number 8712 etched in the bottom. This is of a girl with a cherub or angel looking into a planter of some sought. On the bottom are two ducks drinking water from a water fall. Very nice piece. There are a few small chips. Around the top vase type part at the tips. I see three of the tips have small chips. On the cherub or boy his hand has two chips one on the inside and one on the outside. His purple wrap also has a small chip on the front and a larger chip on the side of it. I see a little chip ... morealso on one of the pieces of wood along the bottom basket. All chips are small. I used a magnifying glass to find most of them. There is some gold paint wear on the bottom of the girls skirt and other places. I am not sure what the makers marks for these type of items are, so I can not tell you who made them. I will however try to capture them in a picture for you to see. I was told this was German bisque, but again, I have no way of knowing for sure. This is an adorable item. Please see all pictures. I wish I could add more than twelve pictures for some of these pieces. This is an estate sale find, actually the bisque items came from a place that attends auctions and also purchases entire estates. I am not an expert. I will describe items to the best of my ability and tell you what I see. Because I am not perfect it is possible for me to miss something that is important to an expert. If I did not mention any other issues, I do not see any other issues. All of the pieces seem a bit dusty and could use to be wiped down with a damp cloth. VTG GERMAN BISQUE PORCELAIN FIGURINE STATUES EUROPEAN ADMIRAL BOY GIRL MILITARY

Here's a BEAUTIFUL find from an estate purchase- I acquired these several years back. And am only just now finding it time to part with them. This pair is just. Well. stunning. No other word for it. They stand about 13.5 inches tall, big enough to make a great display statement, and the colors and paint are dreamtastic! Young man is holding a small french horn in one hand and a letter in the other; young lady appears to be reading a letter just received. Both are wonderfully outfitted in period regalia. With pastel mauves and blues and gilt/gold trim, both wearing the very fashionable bicorner European hats often seen in military parades. There are no date or manufacture stamps on these figures, ... morebut experience and research tell me they are European in origin, probably German, and most likely date to the mid to early 20th century. Both have some faint pencil marks in the recessed areas of the bottoms, looks like initials and perhaps a date but too hard to read and I have no idea if that would be the mark of the original artist or a previous owner. Please know that I am extremely tough in grading my pottery. Porcelain and glassware: I've been collecting. Selling and trading antique items for over 30 years, so I know that the only perfect piece is one that just left the factory. And even then it probably has some original-manufacture flaws. I tend to call out flaws that other sellers might not notice or conveniently overlook, so when I tell you it's right, it's right. I want everybody happy. That being said. Here's what I'd note to condition: Both figures could use some light cleaning from experienced hands. They show some age in the recesses, and there are a few little"age spots" present, notably on the female's right arm area; if you are experienced with fine antique bisque you will know what I'm referring to. For your consideration is an Antique Piano Baby Figurine made by Gebruder Heubach. A Piano baby is a figurine used to hold the edges down on the large shawls that would cover the piano. Doll sits 8 1/4" tall. The company. Which translates as Heubach Brothers, was established in 1843 by Georg Christoph and Phillipp Jakob Heubach when they purchased an existing porcelain factory in Lichte, Germany. The company began to manufacture items such as household pottery. Figurines and novelties, and in 1863 opened a local art school for sculptors. This training led to the company becoming renowned for its high quality and lifelike figurines, including their range of which are highly sought after by modern collectors. Antique Bisque Porcelain Little Girl w/ Butt Out & Hound Dog Figurine
Here we have an adorable antique bisque porcelain figurine which is on the smaller side. Measuring 4 1/2" tall and 4" wide. It features a little girl whose butt is sticking out the back of her dress while she gets a kiss from her dog. I just love her face. It has so much character! The figurine is all bisque with the exception of the gold areas along the front. They are shiny gloss. If you look at the bottom of the log back behind her butt, the tip of the green leaf is missing. The flowers were applied to the figurine separately I believe.they are odd shapes so I don't know if they have fleabites or if that is just how they were made. Regardless, nothing stands out. French Bisque Singing Goddess With Lyre C. 1830 A Beautiful Antique French Museum Piece. Of the Highest Quality Workmanship. Her gilded lyre has metal strings; she glances heavenward as she sings. There is an amphora at her feet. Surpassingly lovely. This is the first time I've seen teeth. Top and bottom, painted on a bisque piece- beautifully done The gorgeous gilding and enamel beading is in excellent condition. One of the really wonderful things about this piece is the expertly constructed lyre with its metal strings; they actually pass through the porcelain neck of the lyre and are then secured with metal beads which are meant to simulate the tuning pins. C1890, measures approx 5" front to back and weighs 6 oz. The piece is impressed on the bottom with the Carl Schneider mark and the number 7208. This figure was produced by Carl Schneider, one of the major German piano baby makers during the Victorian era. He is in good condition for age with all toes and fingers accounted for. I find no major chips or repairs that I can see.
