This piece is stunning and is in near mint condition with a model number 40 on the base but no other markings. I am not for sure if it is a Staffordshire, but one thing for sure it is of that high quality. I mention that it is made of ceramic but it has a high gloss finish like porcelain and very heavy weighing four pounds. It stands 12.5” high, 8.5” deep, 5” wide and the ball itself is 4” high. It has beautiful etched carved eyes and a under glaze brown painted surface. It is in near mint condition without chips, no cracks but one small craze in the surface of the ball which is nearly impossible to see, so please notice the photos. DESCRIPTION: NO RESERVE for a pair of small-size pair of Antique 19th century English Staffordshire Begging Spaniel Dog Figurines. Measure about 4" tall each. Please note. A true pair and the dog's positions reverse such that they are facing each other when the figurines are placed side-by-side(pic#1) Appear hand-modelled and not from molds and please note how one of the dogs is a little shorter and fatter than the other as can be seen especially in pic#4. Probably early- to mid- 19th century Staffordshire. These are marked with a red anchor on the underside as shown. The red anchor mark is most closely associated with Chelsea, but a lot of the early Staffordshire makers used spurious Chelsea marks and these are probably ca. 1820- 1860 Staffordshire. The man has a hat and is holding an instrument. The large figurine is a pocket watch holder with a slot for a pocket watch. The figurine measures 12" high and 8" wide. There are several hairline cracks and one little knick on the man's beret. Still. In excellent condition for dating to 1850's! Here's a very nice antique bisque pug dog figurine with cold painted face. Eyes and tail and gilt ribbon and tassels. There is also a faint tan wash over the back of the dog's body. The figurine measures about 6 inches tall and 4 inches long by 2¾ inches wide at the base. This piece is in nice condition with the exception of a shallow chip at the inside edge of the dog's right ear which is visible mainly from underneath. Otherwise. There are no chips, nicks, cracks or other damage. There some numbers and what may be a blue inkstamp mark of some kind on the bottom. Please see picture. I have black lighted him and he has no damage. Repairs or over paint. He has some as made marks but all paint is original and no damage. He has great detail. His little bells have some gold wear. Antique / Vintage Staffordshire or Conta & Boehme Fairing Box Child w/ Dog Fig.
Up for auction is an adorable little antique Staffordshire or Conta Boehme fairing box figurine. It's marked 218 on the bottom and 237 on the inside lid. But no name. I purchased it at an auction with many Staffordshire figurines- it was called out as a Staffordshire, but I can't verify it. The German manufacturers usually mark with numbers so that may be a clue. I'm leaving it up to the buyer. Either way, its a sweet little fairing box. It measures about 3" tall x 3" wide x 1 3/4' deep. I don't find any chips or nicks, but there is a little hairline in the porcelain on one side. CIRCA 1850; a rare Staffordshire Spaniel Dog with lovely golden brown spots and an orangey-red flower; the vase measures about 13" high and 8" wide. This auction is for a pair of antique porcelain dog figurines by Staffordshire. These figurines stand approximately 5" and 5.5" tall. They are in fair antique condition. The dog with black spots has an old restoration work done to its front paw. The one with the red spots has fair amount of crazing throughout the figurine. It stands just a hair over 6" tall. One ear of the dog is broken off. There is a teensy flea bite on the bottom back edge and there is a manufacturer small stress crack on the inside bottom and another on one side bottom of his coat.and the gold pin stripe highlight around the tri-corner hat rim is quite worn off.some wear to the bottom edge line too. STAFFORDSHIRE WHIPPET DOG& RABBIT(for restoration) This week I am selling an English Staffordshire Whippet dog with a broken hare or rabbit in his mouth. Standing with his four legs on an oval round reddish coloured base. Nice speckled reddish colour of its fur. And the rabbit is speckled brown. It has a dark brown collar around the neck and its tail's end is wrapped around his left hind leg. Some'coleslaw' patches are placed on the base and three stump. Half around the base is a gilt line. Size: Height: 16 cm(6.2 inches) Width: 14 cm(5.5 inches) Condition: Unfortunately half of the rabbit is missing and at its left hind leg there is a hairline crack at two places. Antique Early American Chalkware Staffordshire dog 19th Original paint Folk Art
This chalkware dog is 7 ¼ inches tall and 6 1/2 inches wide. The dog likely comes from Pennsylvania and is from the second half of the 19 th century. It has its original black. Red and green paint. This would have been the American Folk Art version of an English Staffordshire dog. The figure is made of plaster of paris. There is an old repair on the bottom of the piece as well as a chip on the bottom.

This is a small 4 3/4" tall by 3" base Staffordshire Poodle Dog. The Poodle type dog is white with grainey fur. I date this dog between 1850-1900 based on what I am finding on the internet. The dog has yellow painted eyes with a black nose. A gold collar with a lock around the neck and the paws are painted grey. There is a factory firing vent hole on the bottom surface. Condition is very good with no chips. It is also marked on the bottom Staffordshire Ware Kent/ Made in England. Thank you for looking. This is a pair of very old spaniel dog figurines which have been in my personal collection for many years(smoke and pet free home) They stand 11 inches tall with 5" by 8" long bases and each weighs well over 5 pounds. Both have a manufactures firing hole in the bottom and under one of the legs. Very nice looking pair of dogs. I am not sure if the glaze is called Bennington or Rockingham. Description: Old. Antique figure of a dog, English setter I believe, lying on a bed with a ball and horn, trumpet or bugle. Gold tassels on the corners of the bed, but most of the gold has worn off. This is actually a lid for a box, but displays very nicely on its own. I believe this is from an old Staffordshire England fairing piece. About 1 5/8" high x 2 3/8" long. No maker's marks, someone has written something on the bottom, I can't quite make it out- looks like Calvell or Galvell to me. Very good condition, no chips, cracks or crazing. The largest is a thick pottery Spaniel with painted black spots 4" tall and 4" across there is darker age crazing and what looks to be a flaw from the maker on the front upper leg in the black spot is a chip that is under the paint and glaze. Next is a bisque poodle on a pillow with a gold painted basket in their mouth 3" x 2-1/2" the hair in spots is the original texture like on a Snow Baby with a few numbers on the lower back of the pillow. An Old Staffordshire Ware Poodle with painted eyes and a mark on the bottom with thick textured pottery bits as hair 3" x 2" Last an old slip glaze pottery pup, looks to be an early version of a Spaniel, the collar has a bow tied in the back, it has a look of Wade pottery, a little over 2" x almost 2-1/2" there is an old drying ... morecrack in the pottery on the bottom of the back front leg. Antique 19th Century Staffordshire Figure girl seated on a barrel with dog This Staffordshire figure is mid 19th Century and I believe. Although unmarked, was made by Dodson Pottery. The girl is holding a tambourine and is seated on a barrel with a rust and white dog at her side. It measures 9 inches in height and 5¾ inches in length. The colors are very vibrant and the condition is very good with a couple of very minor rubs to paint and no chips, cracks or repairs. This would be a nice addition to any collection.
