Antique Large German Bisque Porcelain Heubach Bros. Piano Baby Figurine Nice!
For your consideration is an Antique Piano Baby Figurine made by Gebruder Heubach. A Piano baby is a figurine used to hold the edges down on the large shawls that would cover the piano. Doll sits 8 1/4" tall. The company. Which translates as Heubach Brothers, was established in 1843 by Georg Christoph and Phillipp Jakob Heubach when they purchased an existing porcelain factory in Lichte, Germany. The company began to manufacture items such as household pottery. Figurines and novelties, and in 1863 opened a local art school for sculptors. This training led to the company becoming renowned for its high quality and lifelike figurines, including their range of which are highly sought after by modern collectors. The company registered its‘sunburst’ mark in 1882. And by 1910 h ad begun to produce bisque dolls. Along with bisque doll heads ... morefor other manufacturers across Europe and the United States. By 1938 the company was forced to close and file for bankruptcy. Condition; She has all her toes! There is a slight stress crack to one arm as pictured. It appears to be original to the piec e and does not go all the way around. I believe it was just shrinkage of the Bisque during the dry ing process. S he displays beautifully! There is gold gilding to the wire rimmed glasses as well as to the clothing. This is a large figurine at 11 inches tall and almost 4.5 inches wide. His facial features are exquisite. RARE* 16” ANTIQUE GERMAN BISQUE HEUBACH GIRL W/ FAN*GORGEOUS* This beautiful figurine was found at a recent local sale. She is an unmarked Heubach. I have an identical one that IS marked. Purchased long ago along with her mate and also a collection of about 50 Heubachs…she is guaranteed Heubach. As any Heubach collector can tell you, they are not all marked. This girl stands a massive 16” tall. She is holding a fan above her head. The fan is embellished with purple hand painted flowers. This girl has a very serene look on her face. See close-up pictures. She has intaglio blue eyes and coral colored blush and lips. There are ever so slight dimples on her cheeks. Her blonde hair is done in a top knot with a pink bow. Her dress is a pale greenish yellow with purple and gold embellishments of flowers and leaves and scrolls. There is one flaw ... morewhich is a shallow chip at the front right bottom edge. It has been painted in(paint matches well) and is not very visible. On the base. You might see slight smudges. This is where the painter held the item while decorating it. Mine also has it as does a few of my other larger Heubachs. It is slight, but want to mention it. If you are a Heubach collector, you know what I mean. This is an original matching pair of Victorian era. Hand-painted bisque porcelain busts of a girl and a cavalier boy that is circa 1880's- 90's. This pair of charming bisque figures are unmarked. Judging from the technique, colors, and quality of this small busts I would say that they could have easily have been made by the GEBRUDER HEUBACH factory in Germany, but you can be the judge of that yourself. These delicately modeled antique bisque figurines features a elegant Victorian girl in a beautiful bonnet and handsome young Cavalier. Both are done in a bright jewel like pastel colors. This pieces is in very good condition and almost no wear to the paint at all. There is only one very small chip to the back of her bonnet as can be seen in the images. I am calling this Butterfly Catcher. Probably dates sometime in the 1880 to 1920 time period. The figure is of a boy in a lavender jacket with a butterfly net. It is very detailed. Antique Bisque Piano Baby, Vintage Porcelain Doll, German, Heubach?
Here is a nice old Antique Bisque Piano Baby. Looks to be German but I'm not sure as I'm certainly not an expert. There are no markings on the bottom. It was one of many in my late mother's doll collection that she had for over 50 years and I know it was considered to be an antique when she bought it. She was a very knowledgeable and avid antique bisque doll collector. One of the legs was broken in the distant past and was repaired. Looks to be just a simple glue repair. Upon further inspection. Looks like some of the raised golden dots on the collar are gone too.most likely from handling through the years. I did not see this immediately and is not obvious. Also, tops of the toes on the right leg look flat/worn down from shelf wear through the years. Still, this piano baby certainly deserves a professional repair. The back is marked on the back with Heubach GH in oval mark. The bust is made of bisque porcelain and has been finely hand painted. The fair haired woman with blue eyes and red lips has a a creamy white colored shawl draped over her head and around her shoulders. Her light blode hair is peaking out from under the shawl and there is a pine cone shaped brooch in sage green and light brown on the front of her shawl. It is strange as at first I thought they painted a line across it, and it took me a bit to realize it is a crack because it doesn't go around and she hasn't been repaired. Not even sure how it could do that? It doesn't detract from her delightful charm, and I am sure you could do a slight repair on it, but she has been that way as long as I've had her and I just noticed it. I purchased the set at an Antique Auction awhile back and have had them displayed, drawing quite a bit of attention. They do need to be lightly cleaned, or you may leave them as they are. I did not want to damage them in doing so, and they are 1900 c. There is a mark on the bottom of each. Antique Vintage Bisque Porcelain Figure Girl Piano Baby? Heubach? German? This is from a collectors estate. This is an antique or vintage bisque figure of a girl playing a drum. Is she considered a piano baby? I only see a small marking under the base but I dont know if it is a Heubach marking or just an indentation in the bisque. There is also what looks like a 27. I know many of the earlier figurines werent marked. I think she may have been holding drumsticks in her hands but they are missing. She is a beautiful piece measuring approx. 6 3/4 inches tall. She has some scuffs and scratches and a small chip on the bottom of her back collar. This is is an estate find. I offer it for you the same way I found it. These 10 ½inch or 27cm tall pair of German bisque figurines. Circa the late 1800s, are a particularly lovely duo. The matched pair wearing Pink look so gorgeous. The faces are quite well modelled and artistically painted. They are marked with a W in script or calligraphic in red on each bases. The little girls face is just so angelic.There are no chips cracks or repairs on either figurine. But there is a mark to one bases which is a firing flaw and as it has been painted over at origin.see photo. These two have character type faces that remind me of the Gebruder Heubach dolls. This is a lovely figurine of a German Girl holding the edge of her dress of her head. The bisque figure is 5 inches tall and 3 5/8 inches wide. The figure is marked with a Made in Germany blue mark. Though it is hard to read. We believe this was made by Heubach. We have seen a larger version of this that was marked. It dates circa 1900. There is a hairline by the feet and a glaze skip and also a hairline at the bottom on the back. There are no other chips, cracks or repairs. It does have some soiling. Antique German Bisque Piano Baby Unmarked and Possible Heubach or Hertwig
Up for auction is this adorable bisque piano baby. It appears to be hand-painted. I see no chips or cracks. I tried to get close up pictures of her toes and fingers. The big toe on one foot looks a little odd. But think it is made that way. She also needs to be cleaned. Looks like dust in the crevices. Please see pictures for details. It is Unm arked and may possibly be made by Heubach or Hertwig. The baby is approx. 8" long and 2 1/2" at widest point. This came from my parents smoke free estate. I am no expert on this baby.

This is a gorgeous hard to find beautiful German bisque baby wearing a bathing cap created by the Heubach factory c1890. he is so sweet with his arms over his knees and beautiful rosy cheeks and lips! He is a nice size at approximately 7 inches high by 5 inches wide. The condition is excellent. I see no chips. Repairs, restorations. There is a small firing flaw on his one arm in the back that looks like a little dent or scrape in the porcelain which occurred in the making. He is marked on the bottom with painted numbers and I think impressed numbers as well. Antique German Gebruder Heubach Piano Baby 4 1/2"
Up for auction is an Antique German Gebruder Heubach Piano Baby 4 1/2" This Piano Baby has been displayed in the open for decades. Therefore. It is in need of a cleaning. We will leave that to the buyer as we have no idea as to the safest way to clean it. This baby appears to be in very good condition. The only problem we can see is a chip under the 2 outer right hand fingers. We tried our best to get pictures of the chip. Please look closely. The markings on the bottom are readable, though lightly impressed. There are 2 numbers impressed below and left of the marking. It appears to be either 27 or 37. The first# is very difficult to read. Also, as the pictures show there a painted 9? above the mark. Please see pictures.

Antique German Bisque Gebruder Heubach Large 9.5" Piano Baby Doll Gorgeous!
Presented here for your bidding discernment is this large antique German bisque piano baby doll. Made by the renowned Gebruder Heubach firm of Thuringia, Germany! Heubach figures and dolls have become very popular and, with their sensitive modeling and artful painting, it is easy to see why. It is because of their desirability that many other bisque figurines have come to be called and sold as"Heubachs, when indeed they are not. However, the seasoned collector will easily recognize the workmanship and style of this prestigious firm, even when pieces are not marked, which can often be the case. Though this example is unmarked save for a hand incised number 14 on the bottom. I recognized this piece as Heubach right away. I was able to identify the figure on page 116 of Lydia Richter and Karin Schmelcher's comprehensive book"Heubach ... moreCharacter Dolls& Figurines. The example shown in the book stands only 5 1/2" tall, and so doesn't have all the beautifully molded details that this large 9 1/2" model has. It is modeled in realistic fashion, with intaglio eyes, every curl pronounced, each toe defined, and really gorgeous, delicate painting. It is unfortunate that the pinky fingers on both hands are broken off and missing. I had thought to make the repair myself, but have instead enjoyed it displayed just how you see it. Beautiful antique bisque figurine by renowned German company Heubach. The company is well known for their quality and delicate details. Famous for their dolls and piano babies. This is a fabulous large bisque figurine of a mother carrying a baby in one arm and a white water pitcher in the other hand. It is set in an outdoor scene and she is standing on a grassy base surrounded by rocks and a fence behind her. There are gilded details to the dress. This large firuine measures 15 1/4 in height by 7 1/4 in width. It is circa 19th century. The base is missing the felt bottom so metal is visible. Beautifully hand painted with lovely coloring. The figurine stands 6-3/4" tall and 3-1/8" in diameter across the widest point at the base. Wonderful figurine depicting a baby on a high chair. Beautiful color and great detail with intaglio eyes. The age old scenario. These are marked in iron red inkstamp" + MADE IN GERMANY" in a circle& have a# 45 stamped inside each of them. They are obviously HEUBACH quality. But I can't find the mark. An old antique dealer who collected THE BEST bisques once told me that the ones with divots in their eyes are the GOOD ones. These have those divots. For scale the boy is a whopping 11" tall& about 3-1/4" across the front of the base. Each features wonderful hand painting. Check thegold fastners on their'fur' coats. Their boots button up the sides to their knees. Their faces are gorgeous. Remarkably I can find no damage on either. I am starting these at what I think is a fair price& have no reserve on them. This is a gorgeous large bisque sweet baby girl in her pink bonnet created by the Gerbruder Heubach factory circa 1890-1910. She is a rare large size to find at approximately 9 1/4 inches high by almost 6 inches wide and is fairly heavy weighted. Her condition I would consider excellent/very good. I see no chips. Repairs, restorations at all. Only flaws to mention are some stress lines on the back bottom base of her which occur sometimes over age in early bisque/porcelain pieces. This is a wonderful rare pair of bisque figures created by the Gerbruder Heubach factory of Germany c1890-1910. They are at the sea. The boy has a fish and the girl is carrying her shoes as she stands at the oceans edge. They measure approximately 11 inches high and are both marked with the sunrise marking. The girl is in excellent condition. Just three tiny nibbles on the bottom edge of her base. The boy has had his head professionally restored at the neck. It was a good job and so it is hard to notice on display. A few small nibbles at the very rim of his base and I see a tiny bit of paint on his pinky finger. As you can see. Very early. Dating to the late 1800's, heubach figurine. In forty years of collecting, I've only seen this figure one time and this is it! She is in perfect condition, has the early round base, is beautifully handpainted and has gilded accents on the pinafore. Absolutely lovely detail in every way. She is quite large. Measuring 14" tall, almost 5" wide and approx. 4 1/2" deep.quite large, makes a great statement! If you collect heubachs or german bisque, you won't want to miss out on this one. Absolutely beautiful heubach figurine. Made of bisque, dates around 1910. The hand painting on this figurine is exquisite! The detail on the dress is just absolutely stunning. Painstakingly done! This figurine is perfect and rarely seen. She is almost 12" in height, approx. 6" in width and 4 1/2" in depth.nice large piece, great to display.
