This beautiful set measures 15 1/2" ... morewide x 3 1/2" deep x 9" tall. The base itself measures 14" x 3" and the glass covering both the clock and barometer measures a little over 3 1/2" The clock is fully wound and as are the bells and it is not running. The bells do not strike when the hands are moved, but there is some type of movement on the inside that I can hear when the hands are at the hour and half hour. Both of the glasses are taped into the covers of the clock and barometer. The interior hand for the barometer is missing. The thermometer is working bu there is a gap in the mercury in the glass tube. There is dulling to the finish that can me polished out to make this set really shine. On the top of the base is engraved"Harry, Best Wishes, Jack" This nice vintage Chelsea ships bells and barometer set is in need of a little TLC but definitely worthy of the work. This set weights approximately 14 1/5 pounds so shipping will be by UPS ground with insurance and tracking. I am adding a little to the packed weight to cover some of the insurance. c18 English Chelsea Figures. Large Gorgeous! These are a magnificent and large original 18c English porcelain Chelsea figures! A beautiful woman with sheep at the base. And a gentleman with dog to his side. Hand painted with extremely fine detail, beautiful colors! Applied flowers and ribbons decorate the clothing. The figures are very heavy and substantial. The detail and quality is top notch! The condition is very good overall with some minor damage. The woman has some damage to the ribbons on her one sleeve, and some of the ribbons may have restoration. The gentleman has one finger tip off, and possible restoration to his hat? Antique German Chelsea Samson Style Gold Anchor Mark Grayhound ? Dog On Grass
Offering a very early Circa 1900 and could be older. German version of A Chelsea Samson Dog figurine with a Gold Anchor mark. Looks to me to be a Greyhound. A Dalmatian has smaller spots, but I am no expert on dogs types so have a good look at the photos. You be the judge. Condition as good as the day it was manufactured other than Normal Age ware to the base bottom. A speck of paint loss to one ear tip two specks to leg. all show in photos This was inspected under 50x magnification and are not chips. The parrot is 7.5 inches tall sitting on a stump and has the gold anchor near the bottom of the base(early 19th Century)and what looks like an anchor formed by slight indentations in the porcelain. Unfortunately. This lovely bird has been treated roughly. The last quarter inch of the wing feather is broken(see photos) but does not detract from the overall beauty. Antique Chelsea Samson SPOTTED CAT- 19th Century - Marked Germany w /Gold Anchor
Offered for sale is a delightful little miniature figurine marked Chelsea Samson. This exquisite piece carries the gold anchor mark on the top of the base at the rear. The gold anchor mark is between the darling yellow and black spotted cat's tail and the top of the green plinth it is seated on. It measures approximately 2. 1/2" tall with a 2" x 1 1/4" oval base. This piece was made in and marked in gold GERMANY on the underside. The gold anchor mark was typically used by the Chelsea factory in England in the 18th Century. Edme Samson and his son. Emile, built their business by making copies of items from the famous factories of the day such Chelsea, Derby, Meissen and Sevres, French faience and even Chinese wares. This is an adorable antique porcelain figural of two darling sheep with crusted fleeces resting in a bed of bocage. It is in overall very good/excellent condition with just a little bit of the crusted fleece missing on the end of one tail and a very small nick at the end of the tail. Hard to see on display. Measures just under 3 inches high by 3 1/4 inches wide and is marked with a gold anchor and also Germany on the bottom. Impressive Antique Pair of Birds Parrots with Chelsea Anchor Mark Very Old Large
Antique. Impressive pair of parrots( or other similar birds, with Chelsea gold Anchor mark to the side of each base. Brilliant colors. Applied flowers. Not a matching pair, although the estate I bought them from had these grouped together. These were purchased by the previous owner's on a trip abroad. I am unsure exactly how old these birds are, or if the mark is indeed the Chelsea mark or another company that attempted to emulate that mark. I do know that these are very old, at least from the early 20th century, and very possibly much older. Condition: Repair to the middle of one bird's wing; what looks to be a hairline or previous repair to the body. Most likely there are a few areas of damage to the tiny applied flowers.these seem to always have some chips. Although I could not find any except one tiny area. Marked with a gold anchor. 6" tall. Several of the leaves on one side have damage, as do a couple of the blossoms. The male figure is playing a flute and has a sheepdog at his feet.
