Or mirror stand& vanity dating from the early Showa period between1930 and the early 50's boasts ... morean adjustable 3 way mirror that creates multiple reflections, made in a beautiful extra thick quality glass with beveled borders that still has a very clear reflection for its age. The center below the mirror is adorned with a textured glass surface reflecting a pale blue colour. Its Art deco lines, adorned with a lovely stripy grain veneer in a golden shade are accented by silver tone openwork handles. Small drawers offer space for accessories or make-up and it can easily fit on a night stand, chest or work top making it an very useable and versatile piece. It is in excellent overall condition for its age with no major damage. There are some slight bubbles in the veneer in a couple of places. And one small chip has been filled on the middle drawer. The attachment between the mirror and the stand is slightly wobbly on the left hand side, but stable. This is a really wonderful piece-solid cherry on top and sides. With flame mahogany veneer on the drawers, thick brass circular hardware(typifying the Federal period) and really great carvings at the bottom, finishing off with scrolled feet. There is minor nicking to the veneer. Other than that, it is in amazing condition. The drawers are smooth and the wood is beautiful. Looks like it was refinished a while back. Antique Victorian Dresser/Vanity/Toothbrush Box Rose Finial
Up for auction is this stunning antique wash stand vanity set box for a toothbrush. This is heavy china unglazed on the bottom. Lid rim and bass top. The decoration is a beautiful robin’s egg blue. Then garlands of flowers around the lid and base bowl. The only mark on the piece is the embossed number“119” The lid is pierced and has a gilded rose finial. The inside of the bowl has brackets to hold the brush and allow drying. The box is 8 3/8” long. 3 ¾” wide, and 3 ¾” tall to the top of the lid finial. There is a small gap in the unglazed rim on the underside(this is not a crack. Does not go through, but is shrinkage from when this was made common in iron stone) The piece is in excellent vintage condition with no nicks. Chips or cracks. ebay allows 12 pictures. for this piece that is not nearly enough to do a decent job in describing and showing it. at any rate. Here is a wonderful antique serpentine front dresser most likely by mitchell and rammelsburg. if not by them, someone equally as gifted in furniture making. the dresser is mahogany and stands 94.5 inches tall on its original porcelain casters. it is 49 inches wide and 24 inches deep. it has 4 drawers. the one at the bottom does not appear to be a drawer. it was crafted to be a hidden drawer. there are no pulls on it and it is carved differently to appear as the bottom splash board of the dresser. the dresser is quite heavy, the drawers are well made with the front serpentine boards being about 1.25 inches thick. notice the joints of the drawers, all hand cut dovetails which date the piece to circa 1870-1880. it has ... morea large mirror harp as you can see that is pierced carved and has candle stands, finials, crests, and other nice details that make this a very desirable dresser. the mirror is arch shaped and shows some smokiness and a little silver loss. the mirror is actually in better condition than most. i do not know if the mirror is original but the backing appears to be. at the base of the mirror harp on each side is a nice glove box with a drawer that is hand carved dovetails. i forgot to get pictures of these with the drawers open, nor did i show the four drawers of the dresser open as i ran out of picture spaces allowed by ebay. the drawers all open with ease and each drawer is designed for its specific space. i have a book that is dated 1991 that lists a dresser like this but not as nice for 2250.00. it has great form and beauty, the front of the dresser corners are especially nice. the marble is original and is in great condition for its age. any questions please ask and if you want more pictures i have several and would be glad to supply them, again just ask for what you want. the dresser may be picked up at my home or shipped at buyer's expense. i know the pictures are bad, i

the chest has been stripped of paint and refinished some where in it's life. it has all wide mahogany boards. it notched on the bottom base on left and right! old dovetails. wavy back all most like is has been plane. it has been restored as you can see bracket on the inner and base and old green paint. ABOUT 32 1/4" TALL BY ABOUT 37 1/4" WIDE BY 18" DEEP. I been using it in the kitchen. the center drawer is deep so it has room for blankets and towels. it not the best restoration somebody did but it is looking good for age and holding its own according to a expert. now in the back left corner it is missing a little piece.maybe 1 1/4" by 3/4" and it is a bit slanted AT ONE END/ to fit in. the strip in the back part of the top is oak. Here we have a nice cherry tall chest, probably Pennsylvania in origin, stands 63 inches tall. 42 inches wide, has been tastefully redone with replaced hardware, cock beaded dovetail drawers, poplar and pine secondary woods, ready to go into your home, has age cracks consistent with its age. 1840's 1850's, great visual proportions, had locking top drawers but locks which are small pieces of wood under the drawers are gone but it does make it easier to open them, sits on a nice turned legs, talk about holding some stuff. Antique Vintage Large Vanity Dressing Tabletop Shaving Wooden Swivel Mirror
Antique Victorian style wooden swivel mirror for a tabletop vanity or dresser. Mirror may have also been used for shaving. The frame and base are wood. I am not sure what type of wood it is. But if I had to guess I would say Mahogany, but please determine for yourself. Approximate measurements are 21 1/2" tall, 18 1/2" wide at the base and 6 1/2" deep(at the base) The mirror appears to be original and has that antique mirror patina with small black specking throughout. This is the perfect mirror if you are looking for something that shows its age, character and patina. Condition of the glass is good and it has a beveled edge all the way around(set in about 1" there is some chipping of the glass up underneath the top of the wood frame, difficult to see unless you really looking(please see last photo) Condition of the wood ... moreis good with some wear, patina and cracking to the finish in spots. This piece an amazing antique look that you can only get with with age and time. There may have been some water damage to the back of the piece at some point but it really only adds the character of the piece. Item is in all over good condition but not perfect. Estimated to have been made in the 1850s, is gorgeous. The dresser's mirror-image crotch-grain mahogany is absolutely beautiful, a hallmark of quality in fine furniture construction. The curved front is lovely, as are the carved backboard and skirt. The finish on the front, sides, and top is glossy; the back is unfinished. All six drawers work perfectly and are outfitted with mushroom-turned wooden knobs. This dresser is a 1800's Serpentine Dresser and was my husband’s Great Grandmother’s. His Great Grandma died in 1978 at 99 years old. As far as he knows its was originally bought by her family and has been passed down from generation to generation. The mirror has a beveled edge and is in good condition. No cracks. We do not know what kind of wood this is. In the light it looks like oak. And in other light it appears darker. You be the judge. All the drawer pulls are attached and believed to be original. There are pictures of the edge of the drawers to show how they were put together with a tooth pattern. There are rolling casters on the bottom of the legs. Also believed to be original. The chest has six drawers. The side lock enables the user to lock the five bottom drawers with a key which I have. Two of the pulls have been replaced on the drawer that contains the butlers desk. They blend well with the other pulls. The top contains two doors over a mirror. It has a gallery shelf on both sides of the doors. Underneath the shelves. The back walnut boards have a beaded board design. The sides of the chest also have a beaded board design. The top is removable for easier transport. The raised design on the drawer fronts are burl walnut veneer. The chest is in very good estate condition. It appears to have been refinished many years ago. The bottom part features a light brown leather hinged lift top compartment used for storage and decorated with brass nail heads. It was love at first sight when I met this Bureau/ Chest of Drawers. Circa 1890.needing to be loving restored to a majestic chest once again. I lovingly and meticulously restored this chest from top to bottom. Respecting it as the wonderful antique treasure it is.You can easily see it is a"chest on chest" style. It features beautiful walnut veneers and solid walnut woods. The solid brass hardware is all original and very intricate. Stunning really. I buffed it back to full glory. The lower drawers have a carving which outlines all the lower drawers together(see photo)There is a very small squiggle in the carving(close up photo) which was done by the maker on the lower drawer, it adds great character. No one has ever noticed it until I pointed it out to them. All of the drawers& glides/runners have been fully restored and slide ... moreexcellent. The Sheraton style legs with fluted corner posts enhance the lines of this chest.I restored the finish using many. Many coats of hand rubbed satin varnish which bringing out the gorgeous walnut grains. Built like a tank from all hardwood construction. I custom made the small piece of walnut trim in front of the backsplash.The two small doors are a very unique feature. I installed new magnetic catches for the doors. All of the drawers feature lock and keyed dovetail joinery. Strong, solid and secure displaying the finest craftsmanship by the maker. Sheraton Chest of Drawers with Carvings
This is a piece of furniture that stops you in your tracks. Solid. Lusterous cherry on top and sides, with flame mahogany veneer on the drawers done in a repeating pattern that resembles a bird in flight. Archetypal big round brasses hardware and simple, folksy carvings running along the bottom length of the leg, finishing off with scrolled feet. There is a bit of nicking to the veneer in a few places, but its old damage and somehow looks inherent. Other than that, it is in amazing condition. The drawers are smooth and the wood is beautiful. This is a very nice walnut dresser with wishbone mirror. As far as we know it is all original. It has been owned by one family for the past 70 years. We do not know the history of it prior to that. The piece is in very good condition with exception of a crack on the top of the right hand glove box and a couple dark stains on the top of the dresser. As you know. The two over two drawer format features boldly figured crotched mahogany ogee drawers as well as fine brass pulls and inset escutcheons. The table probably had a harp mirror component on the glove box section at one point in time. This is a lovely bedroom piece which could also be used as a dining server if you so wish. English Regency 6 Drawer Chest Dresser, Egyptian Motifs, Mahogany, ~1820 Antique
This is an English. Circa 1820, six drawer chest or dresser. It is made with thick, bookmatched mahogany veneer over pine, double raised panel sides, and fluted columns resting on strong spade feet. The original Egyptian Revival gilt brasses celebrated Britain's 1798 defeat of Napoleon in The Battle of the Nile, and the subsequent discoveries of Egyptian art and culture. The chest is 50" high, 40 3/8" wide, and 23 1/8" deep. Five drawers are approximately 6 3/4" high, and the bottom drawer is 8 1/2" high. I cannot find a maker's identification, but the frame and drawers are hand numbered in pencil. This chest was professionally refinished approximately 30 years ago, and it has been used irregularly since that time. Small areas in the secondary wood of the drawers were filled at the time of refinishing, but ... morethis appears to have been done for cosmetic purposes only. There is no movement in any of the joinery including the legs, and the drawers work very well for a chest of this age. As is appropriate, I suspect the chest with drawers weighs 250 lbs. There are age appropriate scratches and bumps here and there, and particularly on the top and top drawer face. Also, there is long-term wear to the veneer at the location of the ring pulls. Many of the hardware posts(which hold the ring pulls) have been replaced, and the two original posts on the bottom drawer are a bit loose. Further, some of the nuts that fasten the pulls to the drawers have been replaced. Lastly, one of the drawer locks is missing, as is the key. I would recommend Ball and Ball, Exton for the repair, replacement and or keying of the locks. I believe the clean lines and strong profiles of this chest exemplify good Regency furniture. This is an antique American Empire mahogany dresser with swivel mirror from the 1890's. It is labeled inside top drawer with a tag that reads Colbys. Founded 1866, Hand made. This is in beautiful condition for an antique of this age with no major breaks, cracks, missing pieces or damage and is very heavy and well made. The mirror does show some fadeing on the inside. There are 4 drawers, two large 8" deep on the bottom and 2 smaller 5" deep drawers on top.
