The bottom shelf has a small area at the far right front where it looks like the wood may have been broken and repaired, or at least cracked. But this spacious cabinet opens with two paneled doors. The doors are beautifully adorned with the original ornate bronze pulls that show a lovely patina. The cabinet finish may not be original. I have owned this for 30 years and never refinished it, I don't know what was done prior. The marble top is one solid beautiful piece. It is ¾" thick with straight edges. The veining color is in shades of browns. Burgundy and creams. It is the original marble top and is among the nicest to be seen. It is very heavy as it sits on top of the cabinet. The backsplash is attached to the marble with screws from underneath. But. The best thing about this is the gorgeous set of original Art Nouveau hand-made, hand-painted glazed tiles. The floral designs are raised and detailed with a 3-D look; these original tiles are in great condition, and the colors as well as the Art Nouveau design, complement the cabinet perfectly. I get most of my items at estate auctions and sell them in an"as found" condition. I do no repairs. Alterations and very little cleaning. This is done in the belief that most buyers prefer to receive them as original as possible. Because the items I sell can come from anywhere. I can't guarantee they all come from smoke free environments. DESCRIPTION: Although the swivel mirror has obviously been a part of the wash stand for a very long time. I don't think it was originally a part of the piece. I'm not sure about that but most wash stands I've seen of this type simply have a towel bar where the mirror is located. The existing towel bar is original but the mirror was simply added to make the stand more functional as a dresser. Except for that and the paint the piece appears to be completely original with all of it's ... morehardwar and it still has it's original porcelain casters. For your consideration is this pretty antique chamber pot. Hallmarked by Villeroy& Boch and made in their Wallerfangen factory sometime between 1874-1909. Has a mottled green background with a large white flower on both sides, fairly simple in design. The pot is in great condition with no significant damage. There is a tiny glaze chip on the rim that was impossible to photograph. Even in person. You really have to hunt to find it. All else looks good, the glaze is still quite shiny, the interior isn't stained, there is almost no crazing. Neat piece to display and use. Measures approximately 8" in diameter x 5" high. ANTIQUE HAND MADE COUNTRY WASH STAND CABINET REPRODUCTION
I call this a new antique WASH STAND made out of solid wood. Some recycled. It is painted a Cream over Red color with Old Fashioned Milk Paint, then had a light stain and wax applied. It is an old distressed crackled peeling finish. The top is made out of old recycled America Chestnut from an old torn down barn. It was painted two coats off milk paint then sanded an refinished. It's got a crack down the center with some old nail holes, knots,etc. which adds to it's character. Overall height is 30" the main cabinet is 29" wide by 14" deep. The top is 32" by 16" The drawer is 3" deep and dove tailed by hand to give it more authenticity. It also has some old cut nails and the shelf is adjustable, see photo. It is one of a kind. Antique marble top tile back wash stand
This antique wash stand is 49 1/2" high. 30" wide and 17" deep. It dates from the late 1800s to early 1900s. It was purchased in rural Louisiana by my mother, antique shopper extraordinaire! This was near New Orleans. I found it to be a handy and attractive piece of furniture, once in a hallway and later in my guest room. The wash stand might be satinwood but I do not know the wood. It is not a heavy piece. The little shelves are handy for holding a small vase of flowers or other treasures; there is also a towel rod on one side. The one drawer is handy. The drawer does not slide like a modern drawer and there is a slit where wood is missing. I have tried to photograph all. You would need to come see it and pick it up in Charlotte. NC.

Is 34" long and the depth is 15 1/2" The towl rack measures 25 1/2" tall. The towl rack did have ginger bread decor on each side of the rack, it is no longer there but could possable be replaced with a new set of reproduction ginger bread or mabey you could find some old pieces online. It is still lovely even without the gingerbread but you can tell it was there at one time. This item was refinished but has some scratches on the top that occured after the item was refinished. The pitcher& soap dish lid have cobalt Hydra handles accented in gold. Each of the flying birds throughout the set are outlined(detailed) in gold. The pitcher& wash bowl also have one flower(the same flower on each piece) that is accented in gold. No other parts of the pattern have gold accenting- a nice detail. All pieces have Mason's Ironstone mark& various hand written symbols or letters(mostly in Iron red) The set includes: Large Washbowl- 16" diameter; 5 1/2" tall- note that the outside of the bowl has flowers but there was not enough room to include a picture Large Wash Pitcher w/Hydra handle- 11 1/2" tall; 10 1/2" wide ... morehandle to spout. Antique TURNED SPINDLE, SPOOL painted WASH STAND or One Drawer Side Table 1800s
For sale is an antique wash stand from the 1800s-early 1900s. It has pretty turned spindle. Spool legs and towel racks, a scrolled backsplash, with one drawer. It measures 33" tall, and 28" wide X 17" deep at the widest points. It has been painted, so I'm not sure of the kind of wood it is made from. The bottom shelf is a bit warpy, but it can be removed, or permanently mounted, which would solve that problem. The towel racks were a little separated from the table at the front, so for safer, less expensive shipping I removed them. They can be quickly and easily re-attached with the existing hand cut nails, and replacement screws. The drawer opens and closes easily. The paint is chippy and worn, but I think that adds to the charm of this piece! Overall, It is sturdy and in good condition. This piece is in good useable condition with normal wear. There are brass towel racks on each side which are hard to see in the picture. Dimensions are 33 1/2 inches wide. 15 1/2 inches deep, 39 inches high at the highest point on the back. Top surface is inlaid with an ornamental tile- which I am unsure if it is original to the piece. I don't know much about this except that my mother purchased it at an auction near Stroudsburgh, PA. Used condition~meaning not new and in a different condition other than when originally made. This is a beautiful cabinet with plenty of charm. It could be used as a commode. Small buffet or even a nightstand in a child's room. One pull has had the screws replaced with new hardware& one damaged drawer pull. T here is a circular stain on the top of cabinet with light scratches from normal use. Could be covered by dresser scarf or perhaps sanded out and refinished. I know the Chinese are kings of duplicating. Yet I look at the wood on the bottom of the worn feet. Look closely. Look at the tiny holes on all 4 feet. This stand. Although I am unsure of it's original use. Stands 32" high and roughly 16" square. Although it is quite sturdy. most of the joints are loose. There are several of the cornice braces at the. Tops of the logs that are missing. Paint is good. Design is cool! It does appear to be missing. Something on the top. There are holes there yet nothing there. The silver tray is Silver on Copper with a Hallmark. I do not have a Hallmark key so I am unable to decipher. Silver Tray Show heavy wear and use. Has not been polished in a long time. I do not believe the Silver Tray. Belongs to this piece of Ancient? furniture. But it did fill the hole and give it purpose? I've included many. The towel rod at the top is solid and sturdy. The posts have a small button style peg at the top for added character. The backsplash is smooth and the cabinet top is too. There are some scuffs and stains on the cabinet top but nothing unusual for a piece this age. The drawers have dovetail joints and batwing pulls with ... morethe north wind face in them. The chamber pot door has a small knob pull. All 4 feet sit on casters. I do not know the maker or exact date it was made. This piece is antique and will not be perfect. A beautiful solid oak early 1900s wash stand with back splash. It has 2 drawers. Dove tailed with original brass pulls. Double doors bottom cupboard with a green glass knob. Measurements: back splash is 30 1/2" wide; top is 30"x17 including the depth of back splash; It is 27 3/4" high, no casters. Condition is beautiful,very solid, I use it every day. Antique Vtg Large 11" English Flow Blue Ironstone Pottery Wash Stand Jug Pitcher
This is a vintage(possibly antique) pitcher decorated profusely with transferware in cheery blues and reds with an Asian theme. There is transferware on both sides. Around the rim, a little"cameo" on the very front and on the inside of the spout. There is gold leaf decorating the handle. Measures 11" to the top of the handle. Has a small chip on the bottom rim that can only be seen when upside down. The interior is quite clean. I saw a tiny bit of crazing here and there. The jug is hallmarked with an Urn with"M" and"F" inside the urn. Then"England" I'm unable to identify the maker or the age of the jug. Will be competently packed for safe arrival. Antique Victorian walnut marble top washstand or commode. The original finish is good but not great. It looks fine as is or you can refinish it. There is one piece of trim missing at the bottom left of the washstand. It also appears that the right door pulled loose at some time. See pictures. The marble has some scratches and some staining.
