Antique Oak Entry Hall Tree With Storage Bench & Beveled Mirror & Butterfly Hook
For your consideration is this Very Nice Antique Oak Entry Hall Tree. I have been told it dates back to the late 1800s. But i am not sure, could be the early 1900s?There are no markings on it that i can see. The Hall Tree is in excellent condition, is very solid, and has a nice aged Patina look. It is about 82-3/4" tall, 24 to 26" wide(at different levels) and 15" deep. The Beveled Mirror is about 17 1/4" wide and 35" high and in very good condition for its age. There are 6 Coat, Cap Hooks, the two on top are Butterfly Hooks( unusual& rare) see picture 5, I have never seen these before or after we got this one) I don't know if they were on the Hall Tree from day one or if someone added them later, they are old and they compliment the attractive decorative carvings on top, plus they do match the cutout pattern ... moreabove the seat perfectly.see picture 3) The Bench Seat has storage space under the lid. Offered is a antique/vintage solid oak oval beveled glass mirror with 4 metal coat hooks. Measures 24 x 17 in. and top half of the frame has additional wood trim. Beveled mirror measures 17 x 10 in. Back has wire hanger and 3 small blocks of wood covered with felt for stability(see photo 5) Blocks of wood may have been added at a later time. Shown is an ANTIQUE TRIPTYCH or TRI-FOLD MIRROR. Frame of each of the three mirrors measures 11 1/8" X 11 1/8" Frame is of oak. Mirrors are beveled and in quite decent shape. See first picture- center and right mirror are both very good. The left mirror has slight deterioration but is more than passable for a triptych of this vintage. The backsides are a navy blue embossed paper that was probably shellaced or? to make embossing stand out. Again. Quite a bit of wear but more than passable. Important, the oak frames are excellent. All peg legs intact to stand atop dresser OR nice hanger chain affair for wall mounting. Either way, it is an eyecatcher! Locking clasp fine as well. One-of-a-kind Arts& Crafts oak hall tree. Bold straight lines frame a large mirror and are masterfully carved with geometric patterns. Carving continues throughout the piece. Including the surfaces of the sides, legs and drawer and framing the overhanging molded top. Complementary decorative brass hangers and drawer pulls. Lower shelf, hooks and drawer allow for plenty of storage, making this a practical piece as well. Sturdy construction including dovetail joints on the drawer. Unsure of exact age, but this piece likely dates from the early 20th century. Overall. The piece is in very good condition. There is some silver loss to the mirror, most noticeably along the lower edge. See picture. There is also some seperation in the joints along the lower shelf. Also pictured. It is finished in a medium oak color with minwax provential stain. Finished with several coats of Sherwin Williams sand& sealer and two coats of Sherwin Williams top coat water proof lacquer. The entire piece of furniture has been sprayed and sealed good, including drawer bottoms, back and bottom of the piece. The solid brass has been cleaned and lightly polished with jewelers rough. The finish is hand-rubbed and it looks like it has just be waxed. The bevel mirror is original, has some distortation because of age. The towel bar including the bar itself is all original. The base comes apart from the towel bar and mirror for easy transport. As you can see the back looks just about as good as ... morethe front. Be sure to check out the paneled sides, carvings, hardware, it has everything. The price is right too so if you are in the market for an investment quality washstand, here it is. And can’t find anything that refers to Keen Kutter using the“Kutlery” spelling. I am no expert and maybe someone else has some information on this case. The wood case has minor wear and tear like scuffs and scratches, but looks pretty good for its age, and is strong and intact. It has two sliding wood doors that have mirrored sides inside the case. The doors work and slide well. The case is velvet covered on the inside, and is formed to the contours of the display sections. The velvet is worn away in areas, and stained in sections. There are two wooden drawers that slide in underneath. They are sectioned and have great pull knobs. The top glass ... moreis missing, and the two side glass pieces are broken. Despite this, the case is very strong and stable. I believe the case will travel very well. It appears that the glass could be replaced easily, and has previously been held in with wood strips. Antique Quarter Sawn Oak Hall Tree (Narrow) w/ Beveled Mirror/American REDUCED
This is a very nice antique oak hall tree. I'm not sure of the exact date. But likely very early 1900s. I believe it to be an American made piece. It is made of solid quarter sawn oak. It has been refinished. Pretty carving work at the top. Mirror and hooks appear original. Beveled mirror is in excellent condition with one small area near the top showing de-silvering. Drip pan is missing, but one could be added. Hall tree is in very good to excellent condition overall. A narrow piece for a small area! GOLDEN OAK VICTORIAN DOORED BOOKCASE W/ 4 ADJUSTABLE SHELVES & BEVELED MIRROR
This is a beautiful golden oak victorian bookcase circa 1880. The bookcase has 2 glass doors. 4 adjustable shelves, and 2 storage drawers at the base. The drawers have the nice original hardware including key eschusions and locks although there is no key. However the doors doesn't have the key eschusion but has the lock and the working key. The same key does not fit the doors and drawers. The bookcase is a nice size. It measures 70 1/2" tall, 36" wide, and is 13 1/2" deep at the top 12" deep at the shelves and 15" deep at the base. The original beveled mirror on the top backsplash is 10 1/2" x 6 1/2" oval and has a smoky appearance. There is nice trim around the doors. The bookcase is a little loose from side to side but by no means in bad shape. It is very useable without any repair. Email with any ... morequestions. Up for auction is a beautifully carved antique Black Forest mirror with beveled edge from the early 1900's. The frame has branches with oak leaves and acorns that wrap around a nice mirror. This piece has fabulous detail. The only flaws that I see with this piece is a small dark spot or discoloration on the left side of the mirror(I tried to get a picture of it, but doesn't show up very well) and four small holes on the back with a round mark(You can see in the last two pictures that show the back of the mirror. It might have had a leg on the back at one time so you could also display the mirror on a shelf which is were these marks might have came from, not sure. Here is a terrific buy and a fabulous find for use as originally intended as an oversize mirror back sideboard. or use it without the removable mirror back top and it makes a terrific flat screen TV stand for a 60 inch TV. or even a marvelous 40" height countertop or 72" by 24" work surface with cabinets and drawers below if it fits the bill. This gorgeous early to mid-twentieth century oak sideboard was imported from the Uk through Edinburgh. Scotland and offers a lovely combination of carving, beaded inlay around the mirror, original hardware and lovely columns accenting the mirror. This large sideboard stands 65 inches tall with the mirror back in place and the beveled mirror itself measures 40 long by 12 inches tall. The mirror is overall in good condition with some pitting in one corner but overall clear and free of any ... morecracks or chips. This sideboard measures 72 inches long by 24 inches front to back, and features beautiful oak grains and lovely parquet doors. This sturdy, solid wood sideboard has carved drawers, legs, feet and edges with a stretcher shelf that runs the length of the piece 12 inches below the bottom of the cabinet. Antique Solid (Painted) Oak Wash Stand With Swivel Mirror
I get most of my items at estate auctions and sell them in an"as found" condition. I do no repairs. Alterations and very little cleaning. This is done in the belief that most buyers prefer to receive them as original as possible. Because the items I sell can come from anywhere. I can't guarantee they all come from smoke free environments. DESCRIPTION: Although the swivel mirror has obviously been a part of the wash stand for a very long time. I don't think it was originally a part of the piece. I'm not sure about that but most wash stands I've seen of this type simply have a towel bar where the mirror is located. The existing towel bar is original but the mirror was simply added to make the stand more functional as a dresser. Except for that and the paint the piece appears to be completely original with all of it's ... morehardwar and it still has it's original porcelain casters. It is solid oak but will need to be stripped to be beautiful again. It is about 30" in length, 15 1/4" in depth and about 29" in height. It is about 63 1/4" in height to the top of the mirror.
