Hard to find, triple-mirrored dressing table, includes 2 drawers and mirrors that swing in on each side. Drawers work fine, have dove tailed joints. Mirrors in good condition. Style of this vanity has influences of Mission with the straight lines, and also Empire with the curved scrolled front legs, typical of a late 19th century transitional piece. Regarding wood color, it is a medium oak. Some dark areas are shadows and white areas are reflections. As you can see this is a wonderful piece and could be used in many places in a home. Condition is very good, sturdy and clean, no odors, ready to go into your home. Each piece is marked either'EBONY' or'REAL EBONY' This super set is in very good used condition commensurate with age. There are no chips. Cracks etc in the wood. The mirror is still clear. However there is some tarnishing just around the edge. This is surely to be expected when you consider the age of this item. The bristles on both brushes are stiff and firmly attached. Antique 1916 Mahogany Dresser / Dressing Table / Vanity with Mirror
THIS ITEM IS FOR LOCAL PICKUP IN IRWIN. PA 15642 ONLY. NO SHIPPING. Antique vanity/ dresser/ dressing table with mirror. The finish is a dark brown. As shown in the pictures. The facing is missing in a couple places. The mirror has two side mirrors that fold in and out. It has 5 drawers; each drawer has a lock mechanism that looks like it accepts the old style skeleton keys, but I don't have a key for it. The size is about 20 inches deep, 44 inches wide, and 59 inches high. Although I can't tell what they mean, there are several markings on it. Stamped into the wood on the back are the numbers 4474 and 57. 4474 seems like it was important to the manufacturer, because it is in 3 separate places. The mirror is very delicately attached to the dresser. I took the wooden back panel off the mirror to see how it was attached and figure out ... morehow to make it more sturdy, and discovered that the back of the mirror is stenciled with the date June 13, 1916 and an"N" and a"P" which may be the mirror manufacturer's logo. On the inside of the wooden back panel are the words"4474 Mahogany" hand written in cursive pencil. The number"48-88" is stenciled inside the back panel also. 4474 Mahogany Toilet" is also hand written in pencil inside one of the left hand drawers, along with what looks to be the"48-88" again. I looked online but couldn't find information on what these numbers mean or where the vanity came from(or how much it's really worth) I also don't know if"Mahogany" is meant to be the color of the finish, or the type of wood it's made of. The mirror doesn't come off for transportation. It is attached only with 4 screws through the wood mirror frame into the desk part. Which is why the center mirror rocks back and forth a little when the vanity is moved. It could be braced more securely but I don't want to put more screws into it, the new owner can do that. This high quality antique French Rococo dressing table is made of walnut which is in superb condition. The beveled mirror and frame are in excellent condition. There are a full width drawer to the front and two small drawers on either side of the mirror frame. There are a few small signs of its age on the table top that are shown in the photos. It is in strong and sturdy condition and the hand carving is not chipped or damaged. It measures 35" wide. 22" deep, 28 1/2" high from floor to table top, and 59 1/2" from the floor to the top of the crest. Antique Pine Dressing Table with Framed 3 Sided Mirror
This is a beautiful pine dressing table. It has carved detail around the border of the mirror and on the doors of the table. The mirror comes off if desired. The sides of the mirror are movable. Each side of the dressing table has a cabinet with a shelf and in the middle there is a drawer. Everything is original. It has a few scratches and stains as you can see but nothing major at all. Some of the pieces of wood are separating a very little bit as old pieces will do but again nothing major at all. It's absolutely beautiful and I've enjoyed it for many years. For sale I have this lovely antique hallmarked sterling silver hand mirror or dressing table mirror. The silver is hallmarked for English sterling silver. Was assayed in Birmingham with the date letter for 1927 and the makers mark D M CC. The piece measures 23cm/9" in length by 13cm/5" across the mirror. The condition of the piece is very good with some areas of miner damage to the silver which I have tried to show in the photos. The mirror is in good order with some very slight foxing to the outer rim but nothing that spoils the look or use. A lovely usable antique to grace any dressing table. This remarkable late 1800s electroplate on copper dressing table mirror measures 13 ¼” tall x 11 ½” wide with 3 ½” bases on the“pillars” It has nice applied relief grapes and leaves overall with squared shell motifs and acorn finials and shows just enough copper to convince you of its 100+ YEARS. The back of the mirror is a bleached old pine. Between the double pedestals, is an impressive central cheval mirror with a large, shaped bevelled edge. Either side of the cheval mirror, atop the pedestals, is a swing mirror, which can remain flat like a triptych mirror, or swing to an angle for greater reflection. The doors and the drawer fronts are beautifully finished. With burr walnut panels, string inlay and satinwood inlays. The drawers retain their original highly decorative drop handles. This beautiful piece was brought back from Japan. Right before WW ll, from an American nanny that was working there. The piece had been in the family forever. I have no idea how old it is, only that it is very old. If I had to guess, I'd say late 1700's, early 1800's. There are a lot of chips of the"japanned" edges. Some of the pictures make the chips look lighter than it actually looks in person. I had an estimate of apx. $500 to repair the chips.
