This is a very unique(and adjustable) lamp and has"Hubbell" on the switch(see ... morepicture) This item stands about 7" tall without the shade or bulb and around 10" with bulb and shade(came with a 25 watt bulb which is not included) and weighs a bit under two pounds. To my surprise this lamp is adjustable in heigh t. The metal base unscrews to make this lamp go from 7" up to about 9 1/2" 12 1/2" with shade and bulb) This piece shows great patina throughout and is being left to next buyer as to how much cleaning is to be done. The wiring on this lamp is definitely older and may need to be redone. As you can see from one of the pictures it does(or at least did) work when I carefully and cautiously tested it! I cannot guarantee that it will continue to work without rewiring. That being said I am including pictures to show the plug and socket wires. Some fraying of the cloth cover is evident at both ends. I would rather err on the side of being cautious but the rest of the cord seems to be in fairly good shape. No tape jobs or cuts. The"HUBBELL" switch seems to turn nicely and has great on/ off clicks. The shade(which is non metallic) sort of snaps around the bulb. Pictures will show this mechanism on the inside of the shade. I am not sure of the age of this lamp. But I knew it was something different and unique when I saw and obtained it. Hopefully you will too and give it a good home. The table features fantastic grain patterns to the top surface. Achieved through the use of oak planks, rather than one piece of timber. It also gives it a more rustic, casual dining feel. It stands on lovely turned and fluted legs and has a substantial shaped stretcher base. The table will comfortably seat 4, or 6 people if smallish chairs are used. The table measures 120cm long. 89cm wide and the table surface is 77cm high. The table is in very good antique condition. Structurally strong and robust. It does have some scratching and bumps to the table surface, but these only add to the charm and character of the piece, and provide that more rustic feel- very chic! Take a look at this magnificent piece! It’s a tiger sawn. Quarter sawn table– and I mean ALL over it– including the trunk, the legs, the claw feet, the rolled skirt and the top. It dates from 1900, in refinished condition. It has a split pedestal base with humongous claw feet and legs much, much bigger than normal, on a multi-turned fluted oversized column that splits in the middle, just like a Hastings, although I couldn’t find any manufacturer’s marking on this table. The table top is 54 inches round, with a rolled skirt, which means it isn’t flat but is concave, and really dresses up the table. The selection of veneer used on the top is the secret of this table’s beauty. It’s hard to duplicate this with solid wood, which is why they used lots of veneer back in those days. The veneer on this table top is in really nice condition, and there is only one spot you can see where there was a nick in a corner, which has been all repaired and is now fine. This table is all nice, tight and sturdy and ready for another 100 years of use, after being stripped, sanded, stained in a beautiful dark oak color that brings out the gorgeous grains, and then had multiple hand-rubbed coats of satin sheen lacquer applied for a durable finish that will last for years. Antique Light Oak Drop Leaf Farm Table
Beautiful old Oak drop leaf farm table with legs that are turned spindles and the top is a typical two piece construction that is a tell tell sign of its vintage origin. The leafs are held up by a swinging gate arm(visible in one of the pictures) on both sides. Arms are solid and swing easily. With the leafs down it is a compact size allowing it to fit in any kitchen or small area. There is a slight imperfection on one of the inside of one of the edges and there are some minor scratches on the top. This table is still in better condition than most tables of it's age. Beautiful round table measures 41" across. It opens and can be made bigger with leafs. I do not have the leafs. But you can easily have them made or purchase them. I have had as many as 8 people dine at this table, but i believe without a leaf it is ideal for 6. In good overall condition considering its age. In the center where the table comes apart there is a small gap on one end like it does not close all the way and on the base there are a couple of areas where the top veneer is messing and the wood underneath can be seen. 19 1/2 wide x 30 inches high and 9 feet 6 inches long no markings other that the black ink stamp shown'dh 128' has scratches. Guages, gum, writting and crappy refinishing as seen in pictures but very solid and will look beautifull with some TLC does not have any of the brass'feet' that go on the bottom of the legs came from a local middle school I do now know how much it weighs or if/how it comes apart buyer is responsible for making all shipping arrangements within 2 weeks of purchase
