Neat Older Oak 3 Drawer Chest Bedside Stand With Barley Twist Legs From England
This auction is for a very neat and unique older three(3) drawer Oak Chest with Barley Twist Legs from England. It is a very neat size that could also be used as a bedside stand or chest. It has a pretty double beveled edge solid oak top with a neat backsplash across the back. It has recessed panel sides and stands off the floor on pretty Barley Twist Legs. It has side& back stretchers for added stability. It has"dovetailed joints" on all of the drawers. It's very stable& study and will hold up to everyday use for another 100 years or so. The top is 24 5/8" wide. 173/4" deep and it's 31" tall to the table top and 35 1/8" tall to the top of the backsplash. It stands about 10 3/4" off the floor. The top& middle drawer are both 18 7/8" X 14 1/2" and 4 1/4" deep. The bottom ... moredrawer is 18 7/8" X 14 1/4" and 5 1/4" deep. The top is in good to good condition without any burns or water rings/marks and has some very pretty oak wood grains showing through. It does have a gouge in the top near the backsplash. See pictures below. It's in overall good condition with a few dings, scrtches& blemishes but none that take anything away from this cabinet. The drawer pulls are not original to the chest. The backsplash will be removed for packaging& shipping and the buyer will have to re-attach it when unpackaged. There are 3 screws that hold the backsplash to the top.
