Each table measures 26" high and 20 inches across their dish carved tops. C1937. Dish carving is one of the most difficult forms to make. Each top is carved out from a single piece of mahogany. The top molding is part of the original single board, not added later. If Margolis had made any mistake, he would have had to start all over. The Nathan Margolis furniture store was in Hartford CT. It reproduced the best examples of period 18th and early 19thc American furniture designs during the early 20th century. A versatile mahogany piece of furniture like this can move with you from house to house and can spruce up different rooms! At the top of this mahogany chest of drawers is a brushing slide. A brushing slide is a slide that pulls out to reveal a large. Flat surface. Originally it was used for brushing the lint off ones clothes before getting dressed. Today a brushing slide provides extra space for holding a drink next to the bed if used as a nightstand or end table. Each drawer features two solid brass ring pulls. These pulls are the perfect proportion for this chest. Finally, the entire chest sits on straight bracket feet, which are still quite strong and sturdy. Overall this mahogany chest of drawers is in very good condition. This auction is for a neat vintage three(3) drawer"bow front" chest from England These small chest not only make a great stand alone chest. They make a wonderful bedside chest. They also make great TV stands for the newer flat panel TV's. Iy's on overall good condition. It's made out of mahogany& mahogany veneers. It has pretty hardware on the drawers and sweet"Queen Anne" legs front& back. It's s tructurally sound and should last for at least another hundred years or so. It does not have any worm damage. Water rings or burn marks. This chest is not new or a reproductions. It been around quite a while. The beveled top is 18" X 15" and it's 26" tall overall. At the outside of it's Queen Anne legs. End table, or night stand from the 1920's-1940's. The top flows down to and is supported by a Canterbury cutouts and turned legs. It has a dovetailed drawer with glass knobs and a shelf. The simplicity of this stand is unmistakable: simple. Sleek, and streamlined. Use this piece as a plant stand, small pedestal, or lamp table. It would be perfect as a night stand or end table. vintage craftique mahogany pembrooke end table night stand. This is a really good quality solid mahogany table that is made in America by craftique. The started making furniture in the late 1940's and went bankrupt in 2012, I would say this table was probably made in the 1950's or 1960. it is in great condition with minor normal wear to the original finish, it measures 16 inches wide 23 inches deep and 26 inches tall when closed. VINTAGE PAIR IMPERIAL MAHOGANY SERPENTINE NIGHTSTANDS END TABLES w/ GLASS TOPS
This auction is for Pick-Up Only. I can not ship these Night Stands. They can be picked up in North Central New Jersey or buyer may make arrangements with their own shipper for pickup. Auction is for a Pair of Vintage 1940's Mahogany 2 Drawer Nightstands/ Tables. They were made by Imperial from Grand Rapids. Mich. label in drawer, see pictures) They each measure 27" high x 16" wide x 25" deep. They have a serpentine shape in front and back, X shaped spanner, carved fan in each corner, and glass tops to fit, elegant curved legs. Small chip to one corner of glass but it does not go through to the other side. Glass is 1/4" thick. Otherwise only a few very light scratches on glass consistent with normal use. There is glare or reflection in the pictures of the glass(not damage) Mahogany has a nice patina and top is nice ... morewithout the glass. Tops look like a quarter sawn Mahogany. Fine tapered carving on front legs. Original handles. Tables are clean and have only very minor wear. Look well kept. Pieces are strong& sturdy. Item must be paid for with Paypal prior to pickup. Item should be picked up within 14 days of auction ending unless other arrangements have been agreed upon. TERMS: If you have any questions please email BEFORE bidding.
