Made in England Circa 1950 Wear to feet Missing two parts of pulls Mahogany Sturdy Good overall condition, This quaint vintage mahogany chest of drawers is from England. It was made there around 1950 and continues to function quite well today. The mahogany wood displays a wonderful range of color and grain that will continue to progress in its beauty as it ages. This dresser is a very useful size. It can find a home in almost any room and solves a number of design issues. It is a great size nightstand in a bedroom next to almost any size bed. You ... morecould place this chest of drawers at the end of a sofa as an end table or lamp chest. We have also used similar sized chests in foyers and entrances. A versatile mahogany piece of furniture like this can move with you from house to house and can spruce up different rooms! At the top of this mahogany chest of drawers is a brushing slide. A brushing slide is a slide that pulls out to reveal a large. Flat surface. Originally it was used for brushing the lint off ones clothes before getting dressed. Today a brushing slide provides extra space for holding a drink next to the bed if used as a nightstand or end table. Each drawer features two solid brass ring pulls. These pulls are the perfect proportion for this chest. Finally, the entire chest sits on straight bracket feet, which are still quite strong and sturdy. Overall this mahogany chest of drawers is in very good condition. The left pulls on the second and fourth drawers down are missing the ring handle although the plate back remains so it is hard to tell they are missing. There are a few minor scuffs on the feet. Antique Mahogany wood nightstand End table Stand Leather top with claw feet and dove tail construction of drawer. We where told this is Mahogany wood but we are not experts on wood types. So no Guarantees on wood type. Beautiful piece of furniture that needs loving home. Top section can be removed so we can ship the table. Assembly required! Will be shipped in two packages. We carefully pack all of are items. Measures approx. 20 1/8" wide x 20 1/4" deep x 26 1/4" tall. Has leather type material on top with gold scroll work that does have some marks on it seen in pictures, there's some minor water damage on the front section of the material where it meets the wood, hard to notice unless looking for it. This charming Nightstand/End Table is in good original condition, and the lower base section has a medium/dark red/brown Mahogany stain finish color. This Nightstand has has unusual leather on the outside of the top section and on the drawers. See pictures. This wonderful Nightstand has two dove-tailed drawers on the top that are made out of solid wood on the inside. See pictures, and they are working properly. This Nightstand is finished all the way around, see pictures, so it can be displayed in the center of the room. The condition of this beautiful Nightstand/End Table is secure and sturdy with some scratches/spots here and there as part of its wear& ... moretear. ANTIQUE 1940'S MAHOGANY ORNATE FANCY BARLEY TWIST NIGHTSTAND
I WISH I HAD THE REST OF THE BEDROOM SUITE. Up for auction is this antique 1940's mahogany nightstand. It is in very good SOLID condition and measures 27 1/4" high by 17" wide by 15" deep. It has the original hardware which is in EXCELLENT condition. The drawer and the cabinet both function PERFECTLY. It was recently purchased at a local flea market and at the time of purchase it had some minor imperfections. The top was not in the best condition so I sanded it down lightly and put two coats of minwax mahogany stain on the top. Also the right hand side has some scratches and deeper rubs that I tried to rub out with steel wool(please check photos for greater details) The piece itself is all original and is VERY FANCY with a VERY ORNATE design with a BARLEY TWIST going down each side. Eliel Saarinen for RWay Mahogany and Birdseye Maple Nightstand End Table
This is a nightstand designed by Eliel Saarinen for RWay Furniture. It's part of a dresser and vanity set(please see my other listings) This is a very solid piece of furniture. The drawer is a contrasting wood grain, and the legs are an interesting curved design(I've picture the leg of dresser, and the nightstand is the same) This is in need of refinishing with various scratches and signs of wear. It is structurally sound, and there are no major chips or dents. It would not need any repairs, just refinishing. It measures 18" wide, 14" deep and 29" high. The matching dresser is labeled"1952" inside the drawer as pictured. This is quite heavy. So I'm offering local pickup only. I'd be willing to deliver(for a fee) within a few hours of Madison, WI.
