A really unusual small display cabinet gilded metal and I think Italian in origin although it is not marked It measures 16 inches(41 cm) tall to the top of the center and 12.75 by 5.5 inches(32 by 14 cm) across the bottom The glass cabinet itself measures 8 by 10.25 inches and it has one removable shelf The front door has a simple latch mechanism As you can see it can stand on a table but it is set with hooks for hanging and when it is hung the scalloped bottom shows nicely I would date it to the 1940's- it is in good condition but it is an older piece showing some signs of use It shows a little wear here and there and some very minor losses to the gilding. please look at the photos The interior black paint seems more recent to me. Up for auction is an original vintage pair of JBL L100 Century speaker cabinet stands/bases. Not sure if these are custom made. But were four with an original pair of JBL L100 Century cabinets. They have a dark finish to match the cabinets. Overall condition is nice for their age. A couple minor edge nicks, no cracks, no broken parts and can be refinished if desired. They measure approx. 13" wide by 7 1/2" at the tallest point and 11 3/4" deep. They weigh 7 1/2 pounds each unpacked. Can be used with other JBL speaker cabinets. Sold as you see them in the photos. For Auction: Vintage Islamic Art 23”Brass Top Table with bevel window glass underside cabinet that has a lockable door on beautifully formed curved legs all standing 26 3/4” high. A high 1 3/4” gently reeded edge wraps around the outer edge of the table. It is capped on the top by a raised curved lip that has a small dent in one spot(see photo) Inside the rim are a series of circular designs of crosshatch. Lines, twisted strands, more lines, doted lines and finally a head to tail parade of tusked elephants and camels. Inside the animal circle. There are six panels of beautiful calligraphy in Arabic script separated by six flowers with eight petals. Inside are six circles in which three have horsemen with bows and arms and three circles with eight intertwined arrowheads and interlaced lines. In the center surround by small Arabic script is ... morea interwoven six sided star with a six sided circle in the center. My kids attempted to polish the surface and have left a soft white polish powder that can easily be removed. I’ve left the powder on the table in that it adds some contrast and enhances the amazing intricacy of the design. There is a little spot of green from a candle under two of the horsemen. See overhead photo. The table has a large chamber underneath with 4 beveled glass windows meticulously constructed on each side. The wood finish seems different for each side with subtle variations. See Photos) A lockable door with a ornate key enables you to open one side and store objects within. Four lovely carved legs with a simple leaf design on the top curve down to the unadorned smooth feet. The feet are smooth on the bottom and are 13” inches apart from each other.
