The original furniture label identifies it as"Maple& Beech" see photo#5) 18" deep X 14" wide X 28" high. Has two open shelves and one small drawer that opens easily and smoothly. The drawer has dovetailed construction and a cool-looking metal pull. The interior sides and bottom of the drawer are a different type of wood ... morethan the rest of the piece- see last picture. A versatile mahogany piece of furniture like this can move with you from house to house and can spruce up different rooms! At the top of this mahogany chest of drawers is a brushing slide. A brushing slide is a slide that pulls out to reveal a large. Flat surface. Originally it was used for brushing the lint off ones clothes before getting dressed. Today a brushing slide provides extra space for holding a drink next to the bed if used as a nightstand or end table. Each drawer features two solid brass ring pulls. These pulls are the perfect proportion for this chest. Finally, the entire chest sits on straight bracket feet, which are still quite strong and sturdy. Overall this mahogany chest of drawers is in very good condition. Vintage Deco Streamline Waterfall style nightstand. Probably early 1930's. Restoration project. Please look at photos for condition. Very well made and in very solid condition with some severe veneer issues. Solid wood construction. Carved ribbed highlights are solid wood and are in good. Crisp condition. No cracking, deep gouges, distortion, staining or other visible damage. They do not look like they have been previously sanded. Easy to sand smooth and stain if desired. Veneer on flat side, top, drawer fronts is heavily cracked with sections of loss. Does not look like it got wet. Looks like possibly sun and age damage. Underlying wood beneath veneer looks solid and undamaged. If you know what you are doing with veneer replacement it should be straight forward. Drawers have 1/2" wood sides that are dovetailed on face and rear panel. ... moreSome of the tracks are a bit loose and need a spot of glue but are solid wood and undamaged. It has the most gorgeous grain- I think it's cherry or possibly walnut(veneer) It has a lift-top(the top drawer is a faux-drawer) That when opened, reveals thread spool storage racks mounted to the top, and a removeable divided wood tray for more storage. If this were to be used for other than it's original intended purpose, e.g. as a nightstand, the top-mounted four racks appear to be easily removed(just three screws per each row) and I can see this being a really sweet spot to display photos or beloved prints, and the tray below superb for jewelry ... morestorage. The two drawers below provide relatively ample storage. The drawer pulls-pairs of small hexagonal amber glass knobs(reproductions but otherwise identical to vintage)aren't original to the piece(as acquired. The drawer pulls were absent, but I suspect were just simple. Utilitarian pulls) but I think suit it well-very sweet! It retains it's maker's tag. PERFECT SEWING CABINET CO. There are 4 faces on each shelf along the center edge and legs have nice bows and twists with flowers. One leg is completely broken in two pieces and will need repair. It's in great condition otherwise. Very nice quality casting job on the brass. It is put together with bolts and the old style square nuts. Signed on the bottom B.M. 8060 and an X in a circle. Not marked but look like Norman Bel Geddes for Simmons although they could have been made by Doehler or Turk. Vintage Kling maple nightstand. I am unsure if this is truly maple wood. But I believe it is. This stand has one drawer and has the metal plaque inside the drawer. The back is also stamped as seen in the photos. Measurements are: 17" across; 14" wide x 27" tall and the center shelf is 7" up from the floor. The stand has no breaks or chips whatsoever and is sturdy. This is an estate find and does have some superficial wear to the finish in a few spots. Otherwise would be a beautiful nightstand or end/accent table. The green stickers on the top of the stand are labels which will be removed when shipped. A beautiful nightstand that can be used as a small chest. Made by James Lassiter and Sons in New Jersey has a finished date of 8/18/36. This fine piece of American craftsmanship measures 28 inches tall by 20 inches wide and 18 inches deep. It is made of wood. I am not sure since I am not any sort of expert, but it is a heavy wood. It does have some rough spots and one drawer front needs some glue. other than basic cleaning, no restorations have been made. I am selling this item PICK UP only. I am located about 40 miles north of Boston and it a beautiful drive this time of the year. It has 1 door that opens to reveal ample storage. A Bakelite knob completes this piece. Use this piece as a night stand. THESE END TABLES ARE IN AMAZINGLY GOOD CONDITION. THE WOOD FRAMES HAVE NO CRACKS OR CHIPS AND NO MAJOR SCRATCHES OR KNICKS. THE DOUBLE DRAWERS ARE VERY CLEAN INSIDE. THE WHEELS ROLL GOOD AND HAVE A GREAT ANTIQUE BRASS LOOK. THEY MEASURE 27" X 19" X 22" EACH DRAWER IS 14" X 15" X 2.5" DEEP. THE ONLY MAJOR DEFECT IS ON THE TOP OF ONE OF THE TABLESS WHERE THERE ARE TWO WHITE MARKS ON THE LEATHER.
