The exquisite craftsmanship, and the use of very early construction techniques points us to its very early origin. Beautiful dark West Indie mahogany wood was carved and constructed by hand. Its tier shaped headboard is masterfully carved with attention to detail in every scalloped edge. Horned posts at the end of the bed are carved with the same exquisite techniques. Up for your consideration is a Beautiful Solid Brass Colonial Williamsburg QUEEN ANN Cypher trivet by Williamsburg Virginia Metalcrafters. This brass cypher is the royal Mongram of Anne of England. It measures 10 1/2 X 9 inches.It does have a couple of petina spots. Some scratches, and wear spots. I have not tried to polish this item, it is in the same condition as I purchased it. It has CW 10-10, Copyright 1950, Queen Ann Cypher, Williamsburg on the bottom. This trivet has three of it's original rubber feet on the bottom. It is a very heavy trivet is weights approximately 2 lbs. This trivet was purchased at an Old Estate Sale here in New Jersey. I am not a dealer. The seat is not original to chair and it came with out it and the new seat was purchased by her. The chair has been dated different era's from the 1800's to 1920's. Really not sure of the age. It measures 41 1/2 inches tall, 22 inches wide, 27 inches to seat. Seat measures 17 inches wide in front, 12 3/4 inches wide in back. Footrest measures 16 1/4 inches long, 6 inches wide. This piece is a reproduction of a Queen Ann style cup from the early 1700s. The cup has classical thick applied bands on both the top and bottom rims.
