This map labels the interurban electric railway lines from Cincinnati through Cumminsville. College Hill, and Mount Holiday, and from Covington to Fort Mitchell. It also locates a dam, four bridges, and a ferry crossing on the Ohio River. Well-preserved original early 20th century antique lithographed folio map. Printed on quality paper which retains its inherent structural flexibility and soundness. A very uncommon plan of this city. Nicely detailed. An uncommon transitional issue of this large detailed city plan with many features not found on earlier or later issues of it. A large map. Not to be confused with the much more common small atlas maps by Rand McNally. This map was originally issued within a huge shipping atlas which had a far smaller production and cost much more than the normal family sized atlases the firm produced. This map did not appear in the small quarto sized atlases and is difficult to locate. In VG or better condition[note: ... morewe grade very conservatively and always seek to disclose any noteworthy flaws] The printed area remains visually pleasing. A nice impression of an interesting antique map. Any minor defects along the sheet edges and in the margins may be seen in the photos. Sheet measures c. 20 1/2" W x 14 1/2" H. Engraved area measures c. 18" W x 12 1/2" H. 15613] note: All old sheets of printed paper possibly have short edge splits. Each sheet has existed for a very long time and has probably been handled repeatedly in the course of it's existence. It has a history unique to it as an object. Most of the time any edge splits are short. Minor, insignificant and have been closed- either long ago or more recently with small pieces of archival tape. Most often these splits are trivial and easy to overlook visually. Basically, they would not significantly affect the piece adversely. The item is offered as seen. Please look carefully and make your decision knowing this antique image is nice. But it is not in perfect"like new" condition. However, with whatever flaws it possesses, it remains entirely worthy of ownership and inclusion in any related collection.

This map is genuine. Not a copy or reprint. It may have a few minor handling flaws as to be expected in a map this age and large. This map has a bit of damage on the right center fold, see lower scan, and we have reduced the price accordingly. Map is from Rand McNally's New Business Atlas which is very expensive when found. There are only two editions of this atlas in the major reference collections, making the maps from this atlas quite dear, fantastic to behold, and a smart investment. It is very detailed with cities and towns, county seats, trunk line railroads and other railroads, rivers and streams. The counties are outlined in red which makes them very easy to find. There is an inset Cleveland and one of Cincinnati. Maps make great wall art. This would be a super neat gift for an"Ohioan" born in'47!
