Please note this is on the UK site and listed in GB pounds. Vintage Illuminated"Winsor& Newton" Shop Sign. This fabulous"Winsor& Newton" Illuminated shop sign, would have originally stood in a shop window or counter and is in original. as found" condition and has not been restored or repaired by us. The base of the sign is chrome plated and it stands on two feet. However, the feet are little uneven and the sign is a little unsteady, although i'm sure this could be easily fixed. The chrome does show some signs of surface blemishes and minor pitting, but it has retained much of its' original finish. The thick perspex has"Artists' Materials by Winsor& Newton" along with the Griffin trademark etched in to it. The perspex is free from and splits or cracks but does have some marks. Scratchesd ... moreand scuffs. Unfortunately. The sign does not light up as it is in need of re-wiring, but it will look fabulous when this has been carried out. The base of the sign measures 77 cm(30 1/5 inches) long. The perspex measures 61 cm(24 inches) wide and 17 cm(6 3/4 inches) high. This makes a great display item. And would be great to add to your own home, artists studio or art supplies shop. This sign is sold as a"collectable item" If being bought to use, I would recommend that it be checked and refurbished by a qualified electrician or engineer before use. early 20th c. rare John Exshaw`s Brandies ENAMEL Advertising SIGN cognac not tin
A lovely very rare old enamel sign from a famous and respected company from the 19th. 20th& 21st century. It still retains some gloss and although there are ding marks the actual bottle which is the main feature of this sign is unmarked which seems remarkable. The sign measures 3` x 2` and it is mounted on a backing board. John Exshaw`s were founded in 1805 and the wording on the sign tells us `as shipped throughout the world for over 100 years` so this would date the sign to the early 1900`s. I think this metal oval owl plaque is a fire Department mark or sign to be put on the outside of a building. I am not certain about that though. Your input is welcome. The owl is sitting on a feather quill. It measures 12 1/2 inch tall. 8 1/4 inch wide and about 1 1/4 inch deep. There is a small hole for hanging about one inch from the top. There are also two mounting holes on the back spaced 7 1/4 inches apart. There are no cracks. I see no makers name or other marks on it. Weighs 3 pounds 5 ounces.

Antique Receiver Office Sign
I acquired this sign many years ago from an antique dealer despite the misspelling in the sign which added some charm. The dealer told me that it was from a plant in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan which had gone into receivership during World War 11. In another life. I was an attorney who specialized in insolvency and it was in my office for many years. I no longer maintain an active practice and am disposing of things which I do not need. This is a very unusual item and I am reluctant to part with it but it is time to pass it on. Sign is 38"W x 13"H x 2"D and weighs about 10lbs.

This is a fabulous 1920s street sign from"the Woods" community of Lake Arrowhead. California. During the 1920s the scenic community of Lake Arrowhead, California made wooden signs for all their streets creating a quaint small town atmosphere. The two sided sign is brown with the original yellow painted lettering"Pyramid Dr. I'm not sure what type of paint was used, but it's still in tact with minimal wear. Two original metal rings at the top for hanging. The sign measures 30" by 7" by 1 1/2" and weighs just under 5 pounds.

United States National Bank 1913, vintage large heavy brass plaque . 35lbs
this auction is for an old large brass plaque engraved“United States National Bank” established in 1913. 20 inches diameter. Pretty heavy, 35 pounds. At the edge is almost ¾” thick, actual thickness in section is approx. 11mm. The relief on the letters is about 2mm high. Nice conditions overall, it does not show any big dents or dings. There is a darker spot on the brass at top right side. Right in the middle there is a lock( the key is missing) I have no idea where this sign was originally located at the Bank when it was installed. That led to an old bridge. It was laying on pile of dirt for a few years. And I salvaged it out of the weeds about 15 years ago.
