Check out my! This is an old stone(alabaster? marble? Welcome sign trimmed in wrought iron and all painted black. There are very minor chips and paint loss. There are five attachment screws missing. The stone is about 16 7/8" long x 11 7/8" tall x 3/8" thick. And overall it is about 17 3/16" x 14 7/8" One small strip on the back that would be attached to something else to hold it, is bent but can be straightened. Please ask any questions before bidding. Crowley Milner Downtown Detroit Building Brass Sign
This is a fabulous piece of Detroit. Michigan history. This heavy brass sign marked one of the entrances to the now demolished Crowley Milner& Co. Department Store. It weighs a hefty 35 pounds and measures 3.5' X 1" There is an example in the Detroit Historical Museum. Built in 1906 the building occupied a site where Compuware now stands. Crowley's began its operation in the building in 1908. Razed in the late 1970's. This sign must date to the early part of the century. Beautiful condition. Please refer to photos. Included in this auction is a late Detroit Free Press photo of the building before it's demise with a partial newspaper article about the proposed closing and demolition printed in January of 1977. EXTREMELY RARE A Genuine Vintage American"Dolly Parton Park Way" street sign in very good condition with only minor surface rust and some paint loss. From Sevierville Tennesse on Highway 411. This is an Original Sign and NOT a Copy. This sign was once used as intended but was changed for more modern signs which are now green and white. The sign is metal and not tin and is 1mm thick steel. The length of the sign is 38" and 6" width and weighs 1.415kg. In the photo's I've included pictures of the 3 cut outs on the top and 3 cut outs on the bottom in the middle of the sign which is where the mounting bracket outer caseing fixed too, and there are the holes on either end of the sign as this was once mounted on a building with the outer surround caseing, similar to a picture frame which fixed around the sign which is ... morewhat the cut outs were for. When this sign came into my possession it was filthy and the only thing I've done is washed it, it's never been repainted and is 100% in original condition this sign would look great re-painted but you'll lose that originality. Up for auction is this rare. Vintage sign. You could say that this is both a agriculture and transportation sign all in one. I have never seen a sign like this before. Please check out my porcelain transportation sign which is also listed. The sign you are bidding on has shotgun pellet dents in the front that did not go all the way through, one rifle shot to the front that went through and one rifle shot from the backside but did not go all the way through but left a dent. This Sign hung on building for the royal visit in 1939. is a shield sign of the Union Jack which hung with the pointed side down. In back is 2 fixed pieces of wood which flags were inserted and hung on the outside from the top. The sign was in storage in the buildings storage room for many years. I took this sign off a fence at a building we are taking down there was one on the front gate and one on the gate in the back yard(I have two but may keep one) it measures 7 1/4 inches long by 3 3/4 inches high and is 1/4 inch thick and is very heavy cast iron. it is green with white letters and as you can see in pics has a great patina with light surface rust for character or could be repainted and comes with the old rusted flat head screws that were in it when taken down.shipping will be $6 in the lower 48 USA states. if you are Alaska. Antique Trade Sign Cast Iron Horse and Wrought Iron Bracket At first I thought this was a reproduction because the bolts are modern. But it is old. Circa late 1800s to early 1900s. And it was restored. The thick, glossy black paint also makes it look new, but again, it is old. There are washers welded on around the mounting holes and it looks like there is a welded repair to the scroll where it meets the mounting plate. There is pitting on one side of the horse and the other is smooth. The black paint is chipped off on the back of the orse and you can see old gold paint underneith the black. There is pitting all over the wrought iron scroll and bracket. Antique Vintage Carved Farm Mill Sign Blacksmith Hand Forged Iron Decoration NH
Here we have a great old sign from I was told Loudon. NH. I'm not sure of the age of the sign but it is made with a single piece of wood that is very thick and has great hand forged decorations on the side. The sign is double sided and hand carved and painted. It's a great and heavy sign. The wood, not including the forged side decorations is about 20 1/2 inches by 55 1/2 inches and 2 3/4 thick. KOOOOL VINTAGE retro "LA" METAL NEON LIGHT SIGN LETTER CHANNEL MARQUEE WALL ART
What a great christmas item for you friend in Los Angels. I was told this neon light was made in the 1940's but don't hold me to it. It doesn't work. It measures 21" across and 17" high. x 5" deep. The case is made of metal. You take the red plastic cover off and wind x-mas lights or LED strings around the existing neon tubing. There are holes in the back where cord comes out and plugs into wall. In pretty good condition but there are two stress cracks on the sides of the red cover. Not the front. And some dark drip marks that might come off. It weighs 6-1/2 lbs. before packaging. I try to ship the cheapest way but safely. Due to its age and in case I might have missed something, this item is sold"as is" so please ask questions before bidding.
