Wonderful Art Deco/1930's Cast Bronze& Enamel Shop Sign Letter'U' Heavy cast bronze capital letter'U' in what appears to be' Tim es' typeface. Infilled with cream coloured fired enamel. With multi coloured fleck finish enamel on the underside. Four threaded fastenings on rear for screwing to a fascia. Excellent vintage condition. The enamel does not have any cracks or significant damage. But there are a couple of very small surface marks around two of the inner corners, which may possibly have been created as part of the original enamel process(see last photo) These are not readily evident, but are mentioned for clarity. Six Vintage Shutter Louvers Green Shabby Paint Great 4 Making Signs DIY Projects
Here are six vintage/antique shutter louvers that I rescued from a falling apart shutter. They have wonderful ancient shabby green paint with some also having a little touch of blue. They are 9" x 1 1/2" x 1/4" The 9" does not include a 3/8" dowel on each end where they fit into the shutter. These are primitive perfect for making small signs for garden. Kitchen or anywhere. There is no damage to the wood-just great paint wear. They are more faded on one side that would have been exposed to the sun. This is a really unique cast iron sign that reads“On This Site in 1897 Nothing Happened” It features 4 hooks that are most likely for hanging keys or coats. The sign measures approximately 12 ½” X 4” and sticks out 2 ½” including the hooks. It’s in vintage condition with signs of age and wear. It’s a bit rusty although it gives it some patina. Antique Windmill Tail Sign, Wincharger, RARE
This is the tail part of a real windmill. The smaller type that was popular on farms and outposts in the early part of the 20th century, for use in operating radios and nightly electricity. The Wincharger plant in Western Iowa produced military hardware during World War II and was later purchased by Zenith, who shut the plant down and moved the production of television parts to Mexico in the early 1960's. Sign has some expected chips in the paint. Mostly on the edges, some light corrosion and faint scratches from being used, but for the most part, it has been stored inside over the years. Measures about 26" long, about 7 1/2" wide on one end and about 6" wide on the opposite end. Made of sheet steel. This is a very rare item.
