This is lightly weathered but still in very good condition. Only being displayed outside for about 6 years, then stored inside. This was attached to a tall wooden post to simulate a mast on a sailing ship, each sign made to look like ship sails with two look-outs in crows nest pointing at the Antiques Shop. Two sided for both directions of traffic passing by. Measurements: Sails each: 6 feet 8 inches wide x 4 feet tall. Beautiful antique reclaimed enamel sign from a decommissioned farm in the north midlands. Lovely black enamelled sign with debossed hand painted white text. I believe these signs were fixed up in an old farm milking bay in the Staffordshire area. It measures 12 inches wide by 10 tall. It shows signs of erosion and rust around the edges but this just adds to the lovely patina! It is quite heavy hence the postage. A lovely piece for any collection! Any questions please ask! Antique DECATURE Street Corner building plaque Sign CIRCA LATE 1800'S
This amazing piece of us history was uncovered buried in an out building years ago at an estate in Louisiana. I am not 100% sure if this is from the Decatur St in the French Quarter or the DECATUR ST in Alabama. Either way the wood appears to be from the late 1800'S which would be around the time when the Original French Quarter Rue de la Leveé street name changed in 1870 to Decatur. The condition is amazing and still has a slight memory of silver toned paint in a few areas. There are 3 holes that run through the wooden plaque I would imagine to bolt into the side of a brick or stone building. Worn and full of character. This is artifact will be a great conversation starter. This is as it was found years ago. I have not altered the patina because you only get one! This rare Antique CITY OF LONDON POLICE Enamel Sign dates I believe to around 1880 or thereabouts. Although I cannot be certain of the exact date. The Sign measures approximately 13x11.5 inches. It weighs around 1.022 kg. The Sign is in vintage condition. With signs of wear commensurate with age and use. This basically consists of chips to the corners and edges. The top corners are bent and the Sign requires a good clean/polish. The Sign has 4 holes to mount. A very rare addition to any Police or Sign collection.

Purchased in Mass. by Mrs. Wilson about 25 years ago. Front of house. Steps& fence railings are made from copper. Sides and roof of house are made from painted flat sheet metal. All windows and doors have working hinges and locks. Roof of house has an electrical plug that is mounted flush to roof surface. Has vintage turn type on/off switch also in roof. At some time it appears that you were able to plug in something to enhance or decorate house. Maybe miniature Christmas lights. Not sure. Soft pastel chalky shades, at first glance I thought that this was a watercolour, but no this is a print, mounted onto a hand marbled thick hard card advertising plaque for Café Gilbert an Importer and Roaster of roasted coffee beans in Poitiers Vienne Dept 86. I have found receipts and cafe au lait bowls before also made for Café Gilbert whom started introducing coffee into the region in the late Victorian period. The company was owned by Maurice Gilbert. Set onto a thick hard card and mounted onto a beautiful hand marbled background. A sublime soft image of a pretty young girl, draped in an emerald ... moregreen shawl, the print is signed but I can't quite make out the signature. There is a simple hole to the top with an old silk ribbon on it for hanging. Antique Primitive Sparkle Paint IN GOD WE TRUST Tramp Art Picture Frame
Nice old framed picture using a unique medium. Looks like a glitter or sparkle type paint that was used on a black background. Message is sweet and folksy. IN GOD WE TRUST. The colors are silver. Gold and orange-ish. Amongst the fancy writing is a sun coming over the mountains and a couple of flower stems. There are a few wayward sparkles, but they do not distract from its message. The tramp art style frame is carved wood- primitive looking- with the attached leaf embellishments in the corners. I took a photo of each corner so you can see condition. There is missing piece of leaf, worn edge of leaf, repaired leaf. OK, so all of them has an issue, but it just adds to the knowledge of how old this is and how it hung in a families home for years.
