Simply the nephew of the American cabinet maker/ fine furniture maker Charles Wishtart. My uncle Charles accepted me as an apprentice back in the early 1970's when his health was fading. He was a great uncle and we all miss him. My cousin. His son Leonard, carried on the shop's business but now at 90 he is currently selling off the shop's inventory and tools. No need to go into long praises for my uncle's fine furniture as his reputation is well known and his old world craftmanship speaks for itself including the governor's mansion in Pennsylvania which has a Wishtart original as do museums and fine personal collections. It has been very well cared for since my wife and I received it. As a wedding gift. In the early 1970's. It has been regularly waxed with only my Uncle's original beeswax formula polish. I still have some of it and will make it available to the buyer so that this piece can be properly cared for(Pledge spray and silicone polishes have no place on this caliber of furniture) This vintage piece is his classic solid cherry wood style and measures 28" high by 26"wide X 21.5"deep. It weighs 24 pounds. All solid wood construction. There is a custom crating fee of $85 for shipping. Full insurance is included. This piece requires a rather large crate for shipping because the legs are permanently mortised in place and the crate must surround and completely protect the entire table. This fine piece was created in the mid 1960's at the peak of my Uncle's woodworking career. It will beautify your home for many decades and can be passed on for generations to come. The console is item#11-9001 and can be found on page#192 in the 90th edition of the Ethan Allen Treasury of American Home Interiors. Ethan Allen describes their Georgian Court line as having. eldred wheeler cherry night table
Anyone who is familiar with Eldred Wheeler knows that he makes heirloom 18th century reproductions. Using the tongue and groove, dovetail, beautiful cured woods and hand finishes and perfect museum quality reproductions. This took 8 months to order as he had to cure the wood and hand make the piece. It has a drawer at the top and a platform at the bottom. I have the original sales slip for $695 without the shipping fee. It is in excellent condition and it was in a guest room. I have two and one is in my front hall under a mirror and this was used as a bedside table. It has a drawer at the top and a helf. I live in Maryland, near DC and northern va.

Willett Solid Cherry Coffee Table and 2 Drop Leaf End Tables Here are some great solid cherry Willett coffee tables and a matching coffee table for your buying consideration. Recently picked the pieces up at an auction. Willett furniture was made in Louisville. KY. Started making furniture in 1934 and went out of business in 1962. The Willett brand is very popular with collectors. I would guess the tables are from the mid-50s to early 60s. The cherry wood just glows! Cleaned them up with Murphy's wood soap and orange oil and then applied Liquid Gold. Certainly some minor dings to the wood and some scratching from years of use. But still look great. The end table leaves has a wood slide pull that holds the leaves in the up position. They are all there. The leg and drawer hardware all match and appear appropriate to the furniture. Only ... morething is see to report is that one of the leaves has a small piece out of it where it hinges at the table. Finish was matched well at some point in the past and the issue just adds to the personality of the furniture. I am not a fan of new things or IKEA disposable furniture! The end tables have metal wheels and end caps on the legs. The coffee tables sets on its' legs. Never had rollers on it. I see no cracks, splits or repairs(other than leaf noted above) to report to you. The coffee table has a nice scalloped trim that comes up on 3 sides of the top of the table. The end tables are 27.5" tall. By 27-5/8" across, by 18.75" wide(36.25" wide with the leaves up) Sorry, other items that can be seen in the pics besides the coffee and end tables described here are not included.
