Which I believe it to be between the 1700 ... moreto 1800's. I performed a mild cleaning and the new owner will have to do the deep cleaning, if desired. The color appears to be a light Pea Green/Beige from my vantage point with even crackling all the way around. I could not locate any chips or dings. There is some slight color fading on the horse and the gold accents have remained intacted over the years. No repairs. Great collector's piece! Dimensions: The piece is just under 9" in diameter and just over 1.5" in height. It weighs about 730 grams(on my scale) Meaning it is pretty heavy for its size. Comments: There is a square maker's mark imprinted(possibly heat stamped) on the bottom that I have not been able to completely decifer. I have tried to capture it in several pictures. I have also included a picture of a penciled etching of the clear imprint marked on the bottom. Also. While I'm not an artist, I tried to capture to the best of my ability, the marks that I could make out under a very bright light and under a magnifying glass. Granted some marks and/or pieces of marks are missing from my drawing as my eyesight is not the best. I can make out a double lined square. I am happy to answer any questions. This is a vintage honey amber round alphabet child plate. It has the abc's going around the outer edge and in the center are two birds with chicks. The birds appear to be(ducks. Geese or pheasants) we are not sure which. They measure approximately 6 1/8" in diameter. We think this is pressed glass but have been unable to figure out a manufacturer, if anyone knows anything about it we'd like to hear from you. This is an antique purple or lavender glass plate. Round in shape with beautiful designs cut into the glass. It's in very nice shape, only a few minor scratches here and there. I'm by no means an expert on antiques, but I'm told these are over 100 years old. They started out with clear glass and over the years sunlight turned it purple due to an ingredient called manganese the glass was made with. Since I am not an expert I cannot verify the information of what I was told upon acquisition. I have searched the entire piece for some sort of markings and cannot find anything as to the maker. 1875 Antique Milk Glass Pie Plate-Dish Three Graces~Faith, Hope & Charity!
Antique Milk Glass pie plate measuring 11 1/2" x 10" The thick milk glass center is embossed with three ladies holding hands titled~ Three Graces. The clear sides are embossed Faith. Hope& Charity Patd Nov.23,1875. Still in excellent condition, some wear scratches on the bottom edge, but that's about it. Really much more impressive in person. Total Weight 2 lbs. 6 ozs.
