I call this the" Little Witch" a piece of lab equipment. Medical, drug store. but I'm really not sure! Found with many bottle from the 1800's so I assume it is from that era It can't stand on it's own so I used some furniture pads to keep it upright. Antique Museum Specimen Jar Apothecary Hand Blown Glass Harvard
I have for sale a pair of Hand Blown Specimen Jars from the Harvard Museum of Comparative Zoology. Each jar is roughly 6-1/4" tall. The glass lip is 2-1/2" wide. Though the inner opening is around an inch. I got these from a neighbor who bought them from the museum directly around 40 years ago. One jar has an index card in it- card is in photograph and reads"These jars. Ranging in age from 50 to 125 years old, were specially hand blown and were used to house part of the collection of the Museum of Comparative Zoology, the"Agassiz Museum" Museum of Comparative Zoology Harvard University. At the top is the Harvard stamp. We live in Concord. MA and my neighbor worked at the Harvard Law School. The museum has changed names again and is now known as the Harvard Peabody Museum. Jars do not have any chips or cracks though ... morethey could use a washing. Each jar weighs under 3 ounces. Which is quite light for their size implying a high quality. The green is Sooooo much better in person that it's not showing in my photos! I was told that it is an apothecary jar- but it does not have a lid. I'm not so sure that it ever did. Because the mouth flairs out, more like an open jar, and there's no lip etc. to indicate it may have had one. I thought it would make a fabulous vase for you, or a perfect open jar to put your balls, shells.you name it, this jar will make them shine! It's an antique blown glass piece, and the color is a lovely bright light green. It's also large, measuring 11 5/8" tall, 7" diameter at the mouth and 6" diameter at the base. It's heavy, weighing in at a solid 3 lbs. Antique Early 19th C. Georgian Blown Cut Glass Double Knop Stem Dram Wine Flute
This listing is for a late 18th or early 19th Century dram drinking glass. It is blown of clear non leaded glass. And has a very slight pink tint, and tight horizontal striations. It has flute cutting on the bowl, and a double, annulated knop stem. The foot is slightly domed, and has a polished pontil. The vessel is 4.6" tall, and 2.5" across the top and foot. Antique/Vintage Hand Blown Decorative Glass Barometer
I found this at an estate sale. I do not know the age. I put vintage on the ad for more exposure and that is where I found the similar shaped barometers. It has a blue tint to it with what appears to be oriental designs. What is unique is that the art work is either between the glass or on the inside, as the outside is smooth as can be. There are no chips or cracks, weighs about 2 1/2 lbs. Overall dimensions are 11" x 4 1/2" x 5 1/4" deep at the widest point. Offered without reserve is a large antique Blown Glass Apothecary Jar from an estate. The bottom of the jar has an early sheared type pontil mark left over from the glass blowing process. I suspect that this Jar would date back to the Victorian era or earlier. The jar measures approx. 11 1/4" tall overall. 9 1/2" tall with the stopper removed, the sides measure 4 3/4" across. The stopper has a small chip and inclusion on the inside edge, the stopper fits into the jar properly and lip is not sharp or distracting at all with the stopper in place. The top of the stopper has a fantastic swirl design that gives the jar a very stylish look. This is an antique blown glass pitcher with Alvin silver overlay. It appears to be a much-loved vessel from around the turn of the century. The body has a panelled look.it is smooth on the outside and ridged on the inside. There is a polished pontil mark on the bottom. It is signed on the upper rim near the handle. To the right of the handle is: 999/1000 FINE and the Alvin"A" mark. Next to that is: D 1264-2. The rim is silver covered. The overlay is carried down 3" in front and 1.5" around the back. It is a design of flowers. Vines and leaves. There is a blank cartouche under the spout. There is a 1" section of silver missing just to the left of the handle. Pics 9& 10) This is not very obvious; infact. I did not see this when I bought it. Otherwise. The overlay is in fine condition and great detail is still evident. ... moreIt stands 7" tall and is 4.25" wide excluding the handle. There are no cracks. Chips or repairs to the glass. There are stir marks and scratches from 100+ years of use. This is only noticeable when held up to the light or on close inspection. Antique 19th Century Hand Blown Mercury Glass Goblet Estate Found
Estate sale found antique 19th century hand blown mercury glass goblet or vase in very good to excellent condition. This is one of six different pieces of period mercury glass that came from an estate sale that I recently listed and this one has been relisted. This goblet looks wonderful with almost no issues with the silver coating inside. There is some darker tones at the base mentioned for accuracy but it's a normal condition on this type of glass. The glass has no chips or cracks and the bottom's broken pontil is not sealed and the seal wafer is floating loose inside the base's chamber. It stands approx. 5+5/8" high and measures 3+3/8" in diameter. Displays well, a great addition to any collection. Will be shipped USPS First Class Mail with delivery confirmation.

There is VERY SLIGHT PAINT LOSS ON GOLD TRIM LINES, but the paint on the flowers is excellent. There is a paint streak on the ruffle of one of the vases as seen in the photos but it is not a crack. This listing is for a thick heavy American flint glass vase from the late Middle Period- probably 1860 to 1880. It measures 7.75" tall. 7.1" across the top, and 4.25" across the base. Here is a beautiful antique hand blown pressed glass water set. This water set consists of a 2 quart pitcher and 4 matching tumblers. I do not know the manufacturer of this fine set. But it is of excellent quality. The pitcher is decorated with a cane pillar pattern, and has a heavy applied handle. The top of the pitcher is gilded. The pitcher measures 9 3/4 inches tall by 7 inches in diameter, which includes the spout and handle. The 8 ounce tumblers are polished on the bottom and have gilding around the rim of each glass. The tumblers measure 4 inches tall and 2 3/4 inches in diameter. Each of the 5 pieces in this set is free of any chips, cracks or damage. Each piece does have about 50% gold loss. The pattern on the body is comprised of diamond and fan shapes and the neck is fluted. It is constructed of fairly thick glass with no chips or cracks. There is an"open pontil" scar along with other marks left by the manufacturing process on the bottom. Some trapped air bubbles within the glass, and some rougness and other imperfections along the interior edge of the opening but nothing that would seem unusual. Gorham Silver plate oil lamp antique vintage collectible hand blown glass globe
You are looking at a beautiful old oil lamp. One more item I have found packed away in a box I inherited from my grandmother. It is in great condition. It was kind of tarnished up when I unwrapped it but has polished up unbelievably beautiful. I am not sure if the glass globe is hand blown or not. It is in perfect condition with one very very faint scratch on the glass that you have to hold up to the light to see. It has a cut glass design on it of slash marks that go back and forth and then goes to a straight cut with a little ball on the end that goes up the glass. On the round stem piece it states made in USA Thomaston Conn. I believe it is probably in perfect working order however it will need a wick. There are numerous small air bubbles in the glass and one larger one at the top rim. The glass and handle are perfect. There are two very narrow half-inch long splits in the metal silver connector, that is normal for its age and use. There is a"frosted" area on the glass to the right of the lettering that looks like wear from when the ladle was used. While resting in a bowl this area would be in contact with the bowl. Antique Blown Glass Decanter w Neck Thread/ 1800s Era
There is damage to the threading but may be hard to accurately see in the pics. Top thread has a chipped piece approximtely 1.5" long. lower threads appear to have grinding marks and there are grind marks between the threads. There are also scratches around the circumferance of the decanter as well. Outer edge of the bottom is also heavily scratched from what would appear to be heavy useage. Random bubbles are also to be found in the glass.
