French cameo glass center bowl. C. 1910. The piece is of unusual quality, although unsigned. It is large, measuring 10.25" in diameter and about 3.25" tall. It features an intricate emerald green grape vine design, with a green cameo border. There is a hand-painted gilt design atop the cameo glass. It is in excellent condition, with the exception of a small flake to the exterior of the bowl, just underneath the rim. I believe that the plate may bave been made by Dugan/Diamond considering the handle shape. Overall condition is great with no chips or cracks to make note of. The hand enameled decoration shows a bit of age related wear and discoloration.Very minor in my opinion but I prefer to make note. Take a good look at the pictures.The plate measures about 11 1/2" across the base and the handle is about 4 1/2" from the center of the plate to the top edge. We are pleased to offer this an antique decorative Goofus Glass pressed glass with unfired paint on the underside. Known as the double rose. This plate measures just under 11" across and has a short pedestal making it stand about 1" tall around the saw tooth edge. Along with the red roses and gold background. Although some of the paint has worn off from the bottom, this is normal and should be expected. Goofus glass was made from about 1900 to 1920 by many American factories. It was originally painted gold, red, green, bronze, pink, purple, or other bright colors. Many pieces are found today with flaking paint, and this lowers the value. Since I am not an expert I cannot verify the information of what I was told upon acquisition. I have searched the entire piece for some sort of markings and cannot find anything as to the maker. FINE VICTORIAN PRESSED GLASS SERVING DISH w/HORSE SHOE
Victorian serving dish circa late 1800s has a horseshoe with clover in the middle of the dish and six-sided column handles. The pressed glass is clear and sharp. It has one small chip on one of the column handles. It measures approx. 9" long x 5" wide. From grandmother-in-laws estate.
