I get most of my items at estate auctions and sell them in an"as found" condition. I do no repairs or alterations. I do this in the belief that most buyers prefer to receive their items as original as possible. Because I get my items from anywhere and everywhere I can't guarantee they all come from smoke free environments. DESCRIPTION: This is a very old piece and it's obvious it was used a good deal. The glass shows wear with overall scratches and scuffs in the surface. There are also several obvious chips on the outside edge but there are no cracks. The plate is about 12 3/4" in length. This is definitely an antique piece of glass. In payment I accept PayPal. This fine victorian bread plate c.1870 is inscribed with"give us this day our daily bread" and has a large horseshoe with clover in the middle of the dish and wonderful horseshoe and anchor handles. The pressed glass is clear and sharp. It has one very minor inclusion in the glass which is on the handle but it does not impact the overall presentation in the least.
