It is a good-looking table with a large reeded center column and a platform base that goes down into the biggest ball and claw feet I have seen in a long time. The table is in a medium oak stain. TWO ANTIQUE VINTAGE VICTORIAN ORNATE WROUGHT IRON GLASSTOP GARDEN END TABLES
Auction includes both of the end tables pictured. Age unknown but older vintage ornate glass top end tables like no other. Wrought iron tables with leaf and flower top covered with a thick glass insert. Tables measure approximately 12" x 12" wide x 23" wide. Has light wear as pictured. Great condition for its age. So ornate and detailed- outstanding. There are a few minor scratches to the glass tops but I do not consider them serious. No chips or cracks in thick. Tempered glass tops. Tables sit level without wobbling and leg rounded bottoms are not plastic or rubber- they are a metal continuation of the table legs. I have made no attempt to clean or paint these tables. I sell vintage and antique items and as such you should expect no item to be perfect. I try to take a lot of pictures and point out issues with my items but ... moreI sometimes miss things. ANTIQUE 19thC VICTORIAN CARVED WOOD TELEPHONE TABLE CABINET DESK STAND & CHAIR
We are pleased to offer this EXCEPTIONAL antique(late 19thC) telephone cabinet/stand. This is a beautiful. Early telephone cabinet with extraordinary and rare design. The stand is wood and features a domed top. It is adorned with ornate moldings and deeply carved/incised patterns. The domed section housed the telephone. It has a functioning door with a dimensional, winged mermaid applique. The mermaid has flowing, delicately scrolled enhancements for further interest. The domed section has a hole in the back for wiring/cords. It sits(is permanently attached) on a table/stand. This section features turned legs. There is a drawer for pens, paper, phone books, etc. in this section. The drawer front has a beautifully carved acanthus design. It retains the ornate bronze/brass pull which matches the pull on the cabinet door. The cabinet also retains ... morethe original petite chair. The chair has a gorgeous, skeleton keyhole back accent and features the same leg and stretcher design as the stand. The seat is covered in very old(maybe original) velvet fabric. The color is a beautiful cinnamon orange. The chair is a unique size and made for the cabinet. It is larger than a child's chair, but a very petite"adult" chair. The entire piece has. At some point(not by us) been beautifully painted in a white, crackled finish. Gold paint has been used as an accent in the crevices of the wood patterns and as a background for the mermaid. The interior of the cabinet is red and I do not know if that was the original color or if the piece has been painted more than once. This is an elegant piece that, no doubt, graced the hallway or bedroom of a very upscale home as it is more elaborate than most of the phone cabinets of this period.
