Elegant Mid-Century Hollywood Regency Braided Rope Brass side TABLE w/ glass top
I inherited the contents of my parent's Brooklyn Heights estate a number of years ago. It represented over 90 years of eclectic collecting from my grandparents and aunt to my parents. I have been selling their jewelry. Decoratives and art collections for a few years and will continue to do so but now we are moving and downsizing. In the next few weeks I will be listing some fine Fantoni, Gambine, Capron and Ackerman pieces, mid-century Italian glass, lighting, victorian, art deco and mid-century decoratives and some exceptional pieces like an Osvaldo Borsoni dining room table, Saarinen chairs for Knoll, Milo Baughman, Danish teak bench, Parzinger and more. I have had the great pleasure of living with and enjoying these pieces over the years. My pictures don't do justice to this classically designed mid-century Hollywood Regency end ... moretable. The frame is a fantastic brass ribbed rope or scales that was designed to flow and coil around itself. The metal coils are very thick metal and extremely heavy. My husband and I bought this wonderful table at an estate sale from a moderne house around 25 years ago. I don't know the country of origin but it says Italy to me. The undulating 3/4" thick glass is cut to flatter the frame and is part of the design. The frame is in excellent condition but could probably use a good dusting. The glass. Though wonderful, has a small(1" chip on the underside of the glass in the corner. Please see photos. The side table is extremely heavy and is an example of finely crafted and designed mid-century design. Bottom line is that this table has great style and I believe to be a collector's piece. D E S C R I P T I O N: Stunning vintage finely crafted‘flaming’ mahogany revolving table. Widely known as the“drum table” during the 18 th century. It was created by English designer Thomas Sheraton. He fashioned the table after the form of a military drum. The drawer comes from the English“rent” table. A rent table was a round table with seven drawers that belonged to a landlord. Renters deposited their rent in the drawer marked for the day of the week their rent was due. Often times these tables are found with just two drawers. While the rest are dummy drawers. These tables are some of the most elegant tables that were made. Many of these tables have false drawers, but you would never know it. This table is in great condition. Vintage end tables 50's 60's 70's formica top original brass feet maple finish
Pair of vintage end tables or night stands from the 1950's. 1960's, or 1970's covered in a smooth formica surface. The tables are constructed of hard wood, maybe pine, with a maple glossy finish. The second tier has a sleek curved design and the perimeter has vertical hand driven post decorations. Two of the legs are a little loose and can be easily repaired if necessary, all legs will be removed for shipping. The tables have some signs of typical wear for a vintage item. Faux Brass Bamboo Tripod Ocasional Table with Round Marble Top
Great 1950s Faux Brass Bamboo Ocasional Table with Marble Top. The table is in good condition for its age with the metal showing some patina. The white marble top does have some scratches that could be polished out by a marble finishing shop. The only other slight issue is the ring in the middle of the legs has cracked at one of the screw holes. The table is stable and functional. These tables were not designed to withstand heavy loads and are mostly ornamental in nature. It is very difficult to find these and when in perfect condition they command values in excess of $900.00. This table would make a great addition to decor just the way it is but could have the minor flaws addressed inexpensively and be a great value. This is probably one of the most high-end pieces I have ever sold here on eBay. This gorgeous coffee table is attributed to Leon Rosen's Pace Collection and I estimate the piece to be from the late 1970's/early 1980's. It features a stunning rectangular frame made of what appears to be nickel. Within this frame is a gorgeous brass fretwork design. Supporting the nickel frame is a set of 4 solid brass Queen Anne style cabriolet legs. The table is quite impressively-sized. The table surface itself measures 42 inches by 26 inches. A Heritage Henredon Mahogany End Table. It has been in my possession for the past 55 years. It is listed as an Antique and I am not sure if it is. This is a very old end table with an inlaid top that look like leather and has brass casters and drawer pulls. It does have some scratches and rubs on it. They aren't deep and maybe can be buffed out, not sure. It has two shelf and a drawer. It is about 26" high and 25" X 17" square. It is a great piece and possibly a rare find.
