It has some patina on the metal hinges. One of the legs has a missing supporting piece(about a 1 inch long little piece of wood) This piece can use some heavy cleaning. This table would have supported a lamp. This lamp is not included. Pleasingly solid brass trays are supported by a folding base to produce a two tier table. The piece is suitable both for permanent location or as on occasional table. When in folded position the table assumes very little space and can be slid under a sofa or such; in addition the gorgeous solid trays may be used on their own for serving and display purposes. The base is a six leg folding design with dragons head carvings to the upper. The trays display wonderful scense with floral and foliate detailing to the perimeter and a central engraving featuring oriental characters in traditional dress. Overall this peice of furniture is in good condition and will make a great addition to any setting. 20" tall approximately 17" width 10" wide lower tray 14" wide upper tray We are a non-profit store and this was a donation. We are fairly certain this is not a reproduction piece and is truly from the 1930's. We do not know much about this piece except for a previous Ebay listing of a very similar item that sold in the UK in Sept. 2012. We are pleased to offer this beautiful vintage. Duncan Phyfe styled, coffee or accent table. The table features solid, hardwood construction(mahogany or cherry) and an Italian marble top. The table is accented with a rose and leaf"swag" on both the front and back side. The legs are beautifully curved with a large double finial detail in the center of the legs. The table is finished in a reddish brown stain. It is in very good condition with only very minor areas of wear/age. There are no deep scratches or blemishes. It is very sturdy and in very good structural condition. The marble top is gorgeous. It is white with black and gray veins that create beautiful patterns. It has a beveled edge. There is one surface scratch on the marble(see picture 7) It is not very noticeable and may be able to be polished out. This is a beautiful ... moretable. We are pleased to offer this rather unusual. Matched pair of Mid Century, Hollywood Regency petite accent tables or stands. This beautiful pair feature both French and Italian characteristics. They have curved, yet squared, raised bases with rounded feet. The columns are turned wood and the tops are a composite, faux marble(looks and feels like marble) with nice vein patterns. GRAND MID CENTURY ITALIAN BRONZE BRASS DOLPHIN DINING ACCENT CENTER TABLE BASE
We are pleased to offer this exceptional. Mid Century bronze and brass table. This is a fantastic, large table consisting of three cast bronze dolphins mounted on a bronze/brass triangular base. The dolphins are grand in scale and feature intricate detailing. Both the dolphins and the base have an original gilded finish which as aged to a beautiful patina. The dolphins are attached to the base via large bolts. The table holds a very large piece of glass(not included) and the glass is designed to rest on the upturned tail fins. We have pictured with a 42" piece of glass but the table can easily accommodate a 66" piece of glass. The table dates from the 1930s to the 1950s. Some sellers state that the table is French but, this table is marked with a"Z" on the bottom which is usually indicative of Italian manufacturing. This ... moreis a fabulous, sculptural table of timeless design. It is in very good condition with some very minor"dings" on the base which are not distracting or severe. Similar tables are currently offered on 1st Dibs for thousands more than we are offering. Those tables often possess a wooden base as opposed to this table which is entirely bronze/brass. The table measures 30" in height. The base is approximately 36" in diameter. The top. Tail fin section is approximately 33.5" in diameter. THE TABLE IS EXTREMELY HEAVY. The table features upper and lower sections of long wrought iron ribbons which are curved/rolled at their interior ends. The upper and lower ribbons meet at the circular table stretcher. These ribbons form both the table legs/base as well as the table top support. The legs are supported by SUBSTANTIAL wrought iron twists which are welded to each leg. The table stretcher support features a very thick wrought iron wire accent which is welded around the perimeter. The iron is finished in a beautiful coppery gold and bronze which is done in a brush linear pattern.
