In a 3-floor brownstone just filled with antique and vintage pottery, porcelain, and glass pieces from all over the world, we have for auction a Pair of Antique Porcelain Busts of a Boy and Girl, made by Nymphenburg Porcelain. The 9 ½" and 10" tall figures are in good condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Both pieces, created by Franz Anton Bustelli, are exceptionally detailed in the signature style of the artist. Rare Pair of Antique German KPM Porcelain Girl & Boy Sleigh Dresden Figurine
This is a gorgeous pair of large handpainted porcelain figural KPM sleighs! A boy and girl dressed in Royal clothing and both sleighs covered in apprlied porcelain flowers. Beautiful! They are heavy weighted porcelain and each measure approximately 8 inches high by 10 inches wide. Both have some chipping to the applied flowers and leaves and on the boy's sleigh. It looks like there is some yellowing and wear to the paint/glaze. Not readily noticed on display unless you are looking. Overall a gorgeous Victorian pair for the collector! Offered as is as found are a wonderful pair of antique french porcelain blue bird candle holder lamps. These are being sold as found and have a great shabby appeal. No damage to the birds which are stunning sitting on their tree trunks. The flowers have chips and one holder may have a couple missing all easily replace here on Ebay. All of which only adding more shabby character to these rare pieces. The patina has age and you may wish to polish to remove any excess old polish or to bright up. But I feel they display great as they are. These are the same with the exception of the base which each hold their own likeness and one has a drip pan in holder the other does not. These appear to have been wired for electric use at some point with reminents of old wire existing. You could choose to rewire or utilize them as candle holders. Pair of Antique Porcelain Figurine Vases with Children, frog & turtle RW Bavaria
Offered for sale is a pair of antique Bavarian porcelain vases each with two figurines(a boy& girl) beautifully rendered& painted looking at a frog on one vase and a turtle on the other. Each vase weighs almost 5 lbs. And measures 11" tall by 6 1/2" wide by 7" deep. The procelain is a beautiful off-white and as you can see from the pictures, the painting detail is amazing! These items came out of a very fancy estate! They are exquisite decorative pieces. I don't know their age, if you do, please let me know. The faces of the figurines look like porcelain dolls from the late 19th to early 20th century. Each item has it's issues, and I have tried to show them with photos. The vase with the little frog has a chip in the bottom in the back. The little girl is MISSING her arm(I do not have it) Her head has also been ... morebroken off once and glued back on. The vase with the turtle also has a chip on the foot of the vase in the back as well as a chip out of the top of the vase. The little boy's head has also been broken off and re-glued. His wife, Amphitrite, is approximately 5" X 2-5/8" X 4-1/2" high. The tines on Poseidon's trident are missing and it appears the plant next to him has been"retouched" as well as the plant next to Amphitrite. Each figure is marked with a gold"ANCHOR" mark only. Both have similar markings on their bases except one has stamped in a diamond shaped box an"E" and the other"R" They both have an incised"749" over"12" and"74" done with a brush. They were purchased in 1976 at Le Pappillon. One of Dallas' finest antique shops, which was owned by the late Bertha Louise Ahlchlager. She was known for her exquisite taste and made numourous buying trips to France where she would acquire the finest antique pieces. This large stunning pair of figurines is a beautiful representation of young romance. Both are dressed in detailed 18th century costumes that have been jeweled with raised dots of porcelain. The pair has been extensively hand painted and both have gilt accents applied. The female figure wears a white jeweled chemise. Her pale green and white stripe corset has gilt lacings and is edged with white ruffles. ... moreThe gown is brocaded with blue, pink, and green flowers and edged with white lace that has been jeweled. She holds a gilt edged fan in her hand. Her head is covered in a pale blue marmotte and her blond hair has gilt ribbons. Her feet are adorned in blushing pink slippers with pale blue bows. The male figure is dressed in a white jeweled ruffled shirt, a waistecoat brocaded with flowers and gilt buttons. He wears pale green and white pinstripe brocaded britches, white jeweled stockings, and pale green shoes with white and gilt buckles. He is draped in a white cape with pale yellow lining. Gilt is applied to the edges of the cape. He wears a pale blue beret on his head which was usually worn only by french nobility in the 18th century. Both figures stand approximately 14" tall with bases measuring approximately 6" in diameter. The bases are adorned with handpainted flowers and gilt edges. There is a small vent hole in the base of each figurine. There is another small vent hole in the folds of the cape of the male figure but is barely noticeable. This colonial pair of minstrels- lady playing lute and man playing flute are beautifully detailed with hands and even seperate thumbs(especially pic#5) The handpainted clothing and faces are wonderfully detailed. Large and heavy, ready to hang. Each wall plaque measures 21" high X 17" wide. The porcelain plaque with the man and woman measures approx. 12 1/2" high X 10" wide. There are a few chips that need to be mentioned. There is a small chip on the lower portion of the frame(see photo#5) There is a small piece of the gold chipped off on the other frame(see photo#6) On that porcelain plaque, the woman is missing the tips of her 4 fingers. 19th Century Antique Matching Numbered Pair Staffordshire Porcelain Spaniel Dogs
Here is a perfectly wonderful old numbered and trade marked matching pair of Staffordshire Spaniels that date back to the late 1800's. The British royalty loved their Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and they became a revered subject for the porcelain pottery makers of 19th Century England. The pair came down with my Great-Grandparents to Bartow. Florida in 1910 and have been in the family since. I only say this because it probably makes them a"one owner" provenance. The mark on the base is that of"Old Staffordshire Ware England" And both pieces are numbered but only one still legibly. They appear to be numbered 43 and 17 and of course, the numbers are under the original glaze. In 1892 Parliament decreed that English pottery must say"England" on the bottom. Twenty years later the mark had to read"Made ... morein England" The Spaniels stand 5 1/2" high and the base is four inches long by 2 3/4" at the widest part. The pair is in absolutely perfect condition. With no cracking, chipping or crazing whatsoever. I photographed them in sunlight and with flash to try and bring out the lovely rose gold paint under the glaze. The locket and collar are probably 24 carat solid gold paint. I will want to send these insured for at least the value of the winning bid. If you would like. I can insure them for the appraised value of five hundred U.S.D. I don't know whether they were intended as toothpick holders. Match holders, vases or just for decorative purposes. Each measures about 5 1/8" tall. One cherub holds a drumstick in right hand while the other has a quiver of arrows on his back. The drumstick cherub has had repairs to helmet. I think that the actual damage was to the outer tip of the helmet but the touch-up extends over all of the blue area. There has been some flaking of touch-up as you can see in photos. There is a little bit of blue paint on the cherub's side where helmet ... moretouches, presumably from the touch-up. The cherub with quiver is in excellent condition with the only minor defect being a small flake to back side of hair measuring about 1/8" across(see photo) These pieces are beautifully hand-decorated with great attention to detail. STAFFORDSHIRE SPANIEL DOGS. Description: This adorable pair of antique English Staffordshire Spaniel pottery dogs have very unusual hand painted black patches of crosses and stars. Both have yellow eyes and gilt chains and lockets. One is slightly larger suggesting one male and one female dog. They have both felt patches on the bottom. The glaze is of a beautiful soft cream color and the gilt has a nice old shine. Lovely Bisque Porcelain Couple- Man and Woman or BOY and GIRL. Each has been painted with Lavender and GOLD. These measure 11 inches tall. They are hollow with a solid base and vent hole in back. Might be Staffordshire. Might be German, not sure. The woman's head shows a repair around her neck. Looks like she lost her head at some point in time(don't we all. She was repaired but not by a professional. These are dusty and we have NOT attempted to wash them. Features are beautifully painted with nice rosy cheeks! There seems to be a faint blue marking at the edge of the base on the Boy. Can't make out what the marking says, but it seems to be an old style. From my 35 +++ years of collecting. Pair of antique, handpainted porcelain figurines sculpture hanging wall plaques. Very high quality with exquisite workmanship, 3 dimensional super high relief. Large and heavy, ready to hang. Each wall plaque measures 21" high X 17" wide. The porcelain plaque with the man and woman measures approx. 12 1/2" high X 10" wide. There are a few chips that need to be mentioned. There is a small chip on the lower portion of the frame(see photo#5) There is a small piece of the gold chipped off on the other frame(see photo#6) On that porcelain plaque, the woman is missing the tips of her 4 fingers. Also, looks like there was an old repair on the man's left arm. The tip of the woman's right shoe is chipped(small and underneath) On the other plaque, the only chip that I can see is the man's ... moreright pinky finger. Otherwise, everything else is in excellent condition. Note: The color of the background green on both wall hangings are more in line with photo#1,2,and 3. The blue feather is well defined. Vincent Dubos, who established a hard-paste factory in 1773, using for his mark 2 crossed branches with leaves, in allusion to his name. They are sometimes called pointless arrows. Offered for sale is a pair of porcelain figurines made in Germany. This is a very fancy. Colorful pair. She is holding her fan and he is about to offer her a bouquet of flowers. The man stands about 7 1/2" tall, the lady is a tiny bit shorter. They are both perfect, with no chips or cracks, or crazing. They are both dressed in rather formal attire. They do not have a makers name, but both are stamped"Germany" on the back, and both have the number 10184 stamped over Germany. Not sure of the age of this pair, but it could be early 20th century or the 1890's. They're pretty light weight. Description Up for auction is this pair of large German Bisque Piano Baby Porcelain Figurines. They each measure approximately inches tall. It is in great shape with no chips. Cracks or repairs. If you look inside of the buggy lid down behind the baby, there is a mold flaw from manufacturing(small split line) which I've shown. This is not damage, simply in the mold, but I want to be accurate. Piano baby is a collector's term. About 1880. The well-decorated home had a shawl on the piano. Bisque figures of babies were designed to help hold the shawl in place. They range in size from 6 to 18 inches. Most of the figures were made in Germany. They are in great shape with no chips. Cracks or repairs. If you look behind one of the girls hats, there is a mold flaw from manufacturing(small split line) which I've shown. Chelsea couple porcelain set of two Has the anchor mark in the back in golden color. 13 1/2 inches tall Round part is 14.5 inches Is a little dusty in the pics but will clean if requested. Antique Pair of French Porcelain Bisque 12" Tall Girl & Boy Figurines
This is a wonderful Antique pair of French Victorian Porcelain Bisque Boy and Girl Figurines that each stand jhust under 12" tall with a 4.5" x 3" oval base. He is blonde and curly with blue eyes wearing a white shirt. Blue hat, lavender pants and tan fishing boots. He is carrying fish and lobster to her. She is blonde and curly with blue eyes, waiting with a fish basket and is wearing a white and pink blouse, white green striped and yellow flower skirt with gold petticoat, and tan boots. They are both inexcellent condition with out a chip or crack anywhere! Shipping includes insurance.
