$15.00 Shipping Location: Keene, United States For sale is a special treat- an extremely rare and early small coffee pot and its lid made by Meissen in about 1725. It has a really nice shape with the ... moreearly handle which I like very much and the spout is a bit different than later ones as well. It is also quite interesting that the body must have been made first then cut open at the bottom to attach the base. That is evident from the inside which I tried to show in a picture but it's hard to see there. The pot is superbly handpainted with an early Indian Flowers(Indianische Blumen) design in the Kakiemon palette. The colors are bright and fresh. The underglaze blue parts are highlighted with gilding. A real fun design with bugs and a bird included. Even the handle has plenty of flowers on it as does the lid which has an iron red and gold design to the rim and a simple finial typical to this period painted with gilding. My favorite part is that this piece is in superb condition with barely any wear even to the gild highlights. There is one tiny flat chip to the very to rim of the pot which is not obvious at all! Some roughness to the footring but that is all original from the making! On top of that it is superbly marked with about every type of mark one could wish for- the underglaze blue crossed swords(about as early a version as you can have) The bossierers marks impresed(a star and a line) a blue painter's mark(a K. I think but hard to read) and a painter's mark L. in puce. The piece is 7 inches tall and 3.75 inches in diameter. If you like my goodies have a look at my other auctions for a lot more top maker pieces or contact me through Ebay if you are looking for something else.

GERMAN PORCELAIN MEISSEN / DRESDEN STYLE MONKEY BAND ‘CONDUCTOR’ No 693 c 1880
This‘Monkey Band’ figurine is one of a set of four that I am listing in four separate listings this week. They represent models 693. 694, 695 and 696 in this set. This one bears the underglaze incised number‘693’ on the base. I am listing each one separately in order to give collectors the opportunity to fill in any‘gaps’ in their collection of these figures. But, in each case, I have provided one photo showing all four of these lively musicians so that they can be seen together. The four comprise a flautist, a violinist, a trumpeter and a conductor, all made of heavy hard paste porcelain. I have confirmed that the mark appears on page 273 of Ludwig Danckert's invaluable'Directory of European Porcelain' The date is correct. This one is the‘Conductor’ He is extremely well modelled and painted in fine detail. He is conducting with visible enthusiasm! He carries an underglaze‘blue scissors’ mark. I am much indebted. As always, to Mr Geoffery Godden’s superb“Guide to European Porcelain”1993. On page 98 of that book he illustrates the‘scissors’ mark and reveals that it“occurs on late nineteenth century Dresden-type porcelains such as the Monkey Band’which are almost certainly of German origin” The conductor is beautifully painted in rich enamels. You are viewing an antique porcelain piece. Either a candlestick or possibly the base of an oil lamp which holds the font. The top is open(there is tissue stuffed inside) but it obviously had something there at one time or another. I have used a glass candle insert in the past in this area. The piece, I am told, is marked with a Meissen mark(see photos) The numbers"17-316" also appear on the bottom of the piece. It is a heavy, well-made piece, and measures about 11" tall. The modeling of the piece is exquisite. I note a small chip on the rose at top on the front of the piece(by angel's head) and a missing rose or leaf on the back side bottom area. It is, as many know, hard to note all small flaking on porcelain roses, etc. However, any loss to the applied roses and leaves on this one is fairly minor in my opinion. Rare smaller Meissen Porcelain Figure.M 104 91"Love Bound" A LOVELY MEISSEN CUPID PUTTO TIED UP. This"Love Bound" German figurine depicting the god Cupid dates from the 19TH CENTURY. Cupid is the god of desire. Erotic love, attraction, and affection. As you can see by viewing the pictures. Our poor little putto sits on a on circular grassy pedestal. The perimeter of Cupid's pedestal is painted in beautiful hues of blues and pinks and accented with gold draping and a sea shell design. This little angel and mighty cherub is sans clothing with only a pink/mauve cloth covering him. His hands and small purple and white angel's wings are tied behind his back. His facial expression show discomfort at being put into such a helpless position. His hair is wavy and detailed. They don't make porcelain figures and figurines ... morelike this any more! Very good condition- no cracks. One of the cherub's hand shows signs of previous repair. The top of one of his feet is chipped as is common for these 19th century Meissen antiques. On top are two winged Putti holding a floral garland of the most exquisite flowers. On the top are the makers Swords Marks as seen in the pictures. This mirror measures 13” tall 10 1/4” wide. Condition: good for its age- it does have a few chips to the garland flowers but not bad and the wings on the cherubs have been repaired on top and one of the top cherubs has a missing wing but only can be seen from the back side. Antique 19th Century Porcelain Bust Kinderbust(Meissen style) This is a 19th century kinderbust. Purchased for $850 in 1998 from a reputable dealer in Southern California. Her receipt from that purchase has her labeled as"Saxony/Prussia's Daughter" She is from the same estate as the Meissen plates and figurines that we have listed also. She is absolutely lovely. With delicate skin coloring from her forehead to bodice, flushed cheeks, tiny painted hair peeking out the back of her bonnet and brown eyes. She is wearing a very detailed print gown with a turquoise sash across it. And the flowers on her chest are in excellent condition, we can find no chips on them. Her bonnet and gown. As well as the base are painted with gold. The red bow at her neck is articulated. With all four pieces coming up off of the main body of the statue. ... moreThe plume on her bonnet has broken off. But as you can see it is a clean break and the plume fits back on perfectly. See close-ups please. The interior of the plume has thick copper pieces in it. The base of the statue is slightly rough with a hole in the center. It looks as though this was originally glued( onto a larger base. For an item that is from at least the 1800's. She is in great shape. She measures 6.75" tall. Widest point is 4.5" across. Base measures 2.25" across. She weighs 1 lb. 5 oz. before any packaging. This is a gorgeous antique Victorian picture frame by Richard Klemm with a lovely floral design center surrounded by a yellow background with hand painted gold gilt flowers and clusters of gold gilt raised dots and a white and gold gilt rococco border. The porcelain is in excellent condition but the back looks to have been replaced with a plywood type backing at some point. Approximately 9 1/2 inches tall and 6 1/2 inches wide. Welcome to my auction. I think this is a Meissen style vase/dish/planter. It has a double cross arrow on the bottom and S 7045. It features two young girls or cherubs whispering to each other in front of a fenced in floral basket design. It is done with pinks and blues. I think one rose close to the pink girl's foot may be chipped. It was not noticeable to me until I looked it over closely and I am still not sure. It is 9" long and 7" high and 5" wide. It is a beautiful. Detailed piece. I bought it at an auction of some wealthy people who traveled a lot. It was with some other pieces from Germany and I am guessing this piece may be from Germany. Dresden Meissen Porcelain German Greek Mythology Figurine with Writer & Putti
This very well detailed figurine of a Greek Mythological writer is holeing a pen in one hand and a putti cherub in the other. It has makrks that I am uaware of possible Dresden or Meissen era. It is mainly white with gold robes. It has a Greek key deign around the base. The figurine measures 9 1/4 inches high. The tip of the pen is missing. Other then that it's in great shape. The last mark is actually white it came out a funny color but it was a close up shot.

Antique Meissen porcelain figure group - Leda and the Swan with Cupid
This stunning Meissen figural group is displayed in elite museums and collections around the world and sold by the most prestigious auction houses. Circa 1890 and approx 6 1/2" tall. Three mythological figures are featured- Leda, her Swan lover(Zeus in animal form) and Cupid, encouraging their union. The execution, color and detail of the piece is exquisite, the best of any example available on Google images, but unfortunately this example has suffered minor damage, which I have tried to illustrate in the photos above, consisting of chipping of Leda's left big toe(and a little more chipping damage to the adjoining toes on their underside) and miscellaneous minor broken and missing leaves(and one small branch) on the tree at right. Accordingly, I have priced the piece far below what other examples- including those with their own minor ... moredamage- have recently sold for. The underside of the base features the incised number 433. A pressed number 65, the Meissen crossed swords, and an inked 36. Top German Porcelain from 1760's, A Large Meissen Ludwigsburg Figurine
Extraordinary. Meissen Ludwigsburg Large Figurine. Approximately 14" tall, 15" long, 9" wide. Heavy, solid hard paste porcelain. This piece was at the Antiques Roadshow when it was in Jacksonville fl, June 8, 2013. I own many Ludwigsburgs, Frankenthal, Meissen, KPM, Hochst, Volkstedt, Sitzendorf and other top makers of 18th, 19th century porcelain figurines. This is the best quality, detail, condition, I have ever seen on a piece near this old. Real Ludwigsburg pieces of this size and quality are rare since the factory opened in 1750's and closed 1821. The Ludwigsburg factory is considered the best mid 1700's producer of fine porcelain figurines. Pictures do not do this justice. It dates to about 1760. I have had it for years as my living room center piece. A beautiful scene, two Dryad's or Wood Nymphs, a statue ... moreof a slave nymph girl, beautiful hand painted scene on front of an urn, which is on a pedestal, flowers, rocks, bird and more. Slight wear on the gilding at the base. May have a nip pedal on a flower or two, but I don't think so, they have no rough edges and it looks like its made that way. Nothing else seen. I did my research and apparently. Dealers are confused too! I've seen it listed under three different manufacturers. Ebay won't allow me to list the three different possibilities, but I do strongly believe it to be Meissen because of the blue crossed swords. Please look closely at the photographs and decide for yourself. I certainly welcome expert opinions too! No matter the manufacturer, everyone titles it"The Five Senses" So that aside, this porcelain figurine is in great shape for it's age. There are five putti figures, each one symbolizing one of the five senses. The top is a putti is holding a glass of wine(taste) Below are four more puttis; ... moreone is holding a bee or wasp(touch) one is holding a mirror(sight) one is holding a conch shell(sound) and one is holding a rose(smell) Definitely made by a top notch manufacturer. One tell is that each finger and toe is individually sculpted and painted. Detail only reserved for the high end market. Surprisingly, all fingers and toes are intact, no breaks, chips or repairs. The only flaw I can find is on the very top of the putti holding the wine goblet is a small chip off a leaf. It's not terribly noticeable and I've taken a photo of it(see image#8) It measured 10 1/4 inches high by 6 to 8 inches wide(6 inches for the base but some of the putti's arms or legs stick out) On the underside you can see the blue crossed swords.
