Antique Rare Staffordshire Ceramic Dog Staffordshire Dog? N/R $9.95. For auction is an outstanding rare to found dog with his front paws on top of a globe that has Japanese character marking. This piece is stunning and is in near mint condition with a model number 40 on the base but no other markings. I am not for sure if it is a Staffordshire, but one thing for sure it is of that high quality. I mention that it is made of ceramic but it has a high gloss finish like porcelain and very heavy weighing four pounds. It stands 12.5” high, 8.5” deep, 5” wide and the ball itself is 4” high. Antique Staffordshire 2 Young Boys on a Bridge Figurine What a couple of cuties! Presented is a wonderful Staffordshire figurine that features the figures of two young boys seated on a bridge. One boy has his hand raised to his head- it makes me wonder if a strong breeze just stole away his hat! Dates to the mid- to late-1800s. There is crazing throughout the piece. And it looks like someone has touched up the gilding. There is also a dark line around the backside of one of the boys(please see photos) I do believe it to be a crack, but I can't be sure- and even if it is, it hasn't gone all the way around the boy, so he certainly was never broken off at any point. As long as he is treated with a little TLC, it shouldn't be a problem. The antiques dealer, who specializes in antique English pottery, said that the cat is a rare Scottish pottery cat from 1880. He said that he has never seen another cat this large. Beautiful antique bulldog. Nice heavy piece. Weighs 2 1/2 lbs. I believe it is either Staffordshire(because I acquired it in a box with 8 other Staffordshire pieces) or German. It definitely has the look of Staffordshire. Very good quality and highly detailed. Measures 6 3/4" high and 9 1/2" wide. Brown glaze. There is a repair to the back left leg(as seen in the picture) The repair was matched up perfectly with only some glue residue showing.

It has a Stone China printed mark; the potter is unknown. The set consists of three pieces- a London Shape teapot. A sugar box, and a waste bowl(no cream jug) You can see the blue of the pearlware glaze where it pools in the foot rim. The teapot is 6 1/2 inches tall by 10 inches wide from spout to handle. The sugar box is 6 1/2 inches tall. The waste bowl is 6 1/4 inches wide. Antique Large Copeland Parian Bisque figural Mother and Child Staffordshire
We are pleased to offer this beautiful antique Parian bisque figural group depicting a mother and child. Possibly Copeland or another of the top quality English manufacturers. In excellent condition. However the finger and childs toy may have been repaired as they are showing a slightly different color. Measures about 12 inches tall, and the base measures 9 5/8 by 6 inches. The porcelain is slightly translucent when held to the light and has a very smooth polished finish. As found in a local estate and part of a collection of parian which was de accessioned in the late 1990's from the Bennington museum. The figurine has a young girl resting on haystacks. It is hollow, and there is an opening at the"tree trunk" that is glazed orange. Unmarked. Dimensions: 6" High. 5 1/4" Wide, 2 1/2" Deep. Weight: 12 oz. Condition: Light soiling and glaze crazing throughout. Several glaze nicks. Most noticeably around the rim and the tip of the wheat bundle. There is a large pit in the surface at the base of her dress; however, it appears to be a manufacturing flaw. There is a chip in the rim and two chips on the base underneath. A large crack runs along the base in the back, and a smaller crack is visible across her neck. Overall good. 19th Century Antique Matching Numbered Pair Staffordshire Porcelain Spaniel Dogs
Here is a perfectly wonderful old numbered and trade marked matching pair of Staffordshire Spaniels that date back to the late 1800's. The British royalty loved their Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and they became a revered subject for the porcelain pottery makers of 19th Century England. The pair came down with my Great-Grandparents to Bartow. Florida in 1910 and have been in the family since. I only say this because it probably makes them a"one owner" provenance. The mark on the base is that of"Old Staffordshire Ware England" And both pieces are numbered but only one still legibly. They appear to be numbered 43 and 17 and of course, the numbers are under the original glaze. In 1892 Parliament decreed that English pottery must say"England" on the bottom. Twenty years later the mark had to read"Made ... morein England" The Spaniels stand 5 1/2" high and the base is four inches long by 2 3/4" at the widest part. The pair is in absolutely perfect condition. With no cracking, chipping or crazing whatsoever. I photographed them in sunlight and with flash to try and bring out the lovely rose gold paint under the glaze. The locket and collar are probably 24 carat solid gold paint. I will want to send these insured for at least the value of the winning bid. If you would like. I can insure them for the appraised value of five hundred U.S.D. Staffordshire Figure - Theatrical - Actor - Antique - 8"
Staffordshire Theatrical Figure 8" in Very Good Condition You are bidding on a Staffordshire figure of an actor- possibly from Byron's"The Corsair" dating most likely from 1850-1870. Many Staffordshire figures were based on real-life celebrities of the time and I'm still trying to research the actor and role protrayed in this piece. There are no chips. Cracks or damage and only extremely minimal wear to the paint. Being very, very picky there is a tiny bit of paint loss to the toe of his right shoe and the slightest rub on the top of the orange cape. There is crackling throughout, as seen in many old Staffordshire pieces. The man's tunic is cobalt blue, a feature of Staffordshire figures usually found in pieces made in the 1860's.
