Antique Vintage Ceramic Porcelain French Lady Man Head Bust Figurines 50's
An Estate find we have an adorable old set of ceramic/ porcelain Bust Figurines probably dating to around the 50's or so. They measure about 6 1/2" tall by about 4 1/2" at their widest. Gorgeous pink. White, green and gold coloring. In wonderful condition for their age. The man looks to be free of any damage, but has what looks to be a minute manufacturer flaw in the porcelain in the middle of his back. The lady has a couple of marks on her chin, can't really tell what it is, possibly ink marks and a small repair on the bow atop her head, all not too noticeable but wanted to mention. We can find no Makers Marks. Their attire looks to be French. We have not cleaned these and they could use a wee wipe down. Photos were taken with a flash for detail. Offered as is as found are a wonderful pair of antique french porcelain blue bird candle holder lamps. These are being sold as found and have a great shabby appeal. No damage to the birds which are stunning sitting on their tree trunks. The flowers have chips and one holder may have a couple missing all easily replace here on Ebay. All of which only adding more shabby character to these rare pieces. The patina has age and you may wish to polish to remove any excess old polish or to bright up. But I feel they display great as they are. These are the same with the exception of the base which each hold their own likeness and one has a drip pan in holder the other does not. These appear to have been wired for electric use at some point with reminents of old wire existing. You could choose to rewire or utilize them as candle holders. It is charmingly naughty and the workmanship is quite good. There are no marks that I can find. It is has a small firing hairline on the female figure's neck and no repairs and obvious losses even in the boccage in the foreground. The polychrome finish is very old. But may be 20th century. There is an amphora at her feet. Surpassingly lovely. This is the first time I've seen teeth. Top and bottom, painted on a bisque piece- beautifully done The gorgeous gilding and enamel beading is in excellent condition. One of the really wonderful things about this piece is the expertly constructed lyre with its metal strings; they actually pass through the porcelain neck of the lyre and are then secured with metal beads which are meant to simulate the tuning pins. The mark resembles early Derby marks but they could be Derby style produced by Samson or another firm. The quality is top notch as you can see in the photos. SIZE: They measure approximately 8.5 inches high. CONDITION: There is an old professional repair to his base which is mostly underneath. There is loss to 2 fingertips on his right hand. She has no apparent damage but there is a manufacturing firing/stress crack on one side of her neck. It is right near her hair and you will only notice it if you're looking for it. Pair of Antique French Bisque Porcelain Figurines This listing is for a wonderful pair of antique french bisque porcelain figurines that relate beautifully to each other. They were purchased in 1976 at Le Pappillon. One of Dallas' finest antique shops, which was owned by the late Bertha Louise Ahlchlager. She was known for her exquisite taste and made numourous buying trips to France where she would acquire the finest antique pieces. This large stunning pair of figurines is a beautiful representation of young romance. Both are dressed in detailed 18th century costumes that have been jeweled with raised dots of porcelain. The pair has been extensively hand painted and both have gilt accents applied. The female figure wears a white jeweled chemise. Her pale green and white stripe corset has gilt lacings and is edged with white ruffles. ... moreThe gown is brocaded with blue, pink, and green flowers and edged with white lace that has been jeweled. She holds a gilt edged fan in her hand. Her head is covered in a pale blue marmotte and her blond hair has gilt ribbons. Her feet are adorned in blushing pink slippers with pale blue bows. The male figure is dressed in a white jeweled ruffled shirt, a waistecoat brocaded with flowers and gilt buttons. He wears pale green and white pinstripe brocaded britches, white jeweled stockings, and pale green shoes with white and gilt buckles. He is draped in a white cape with pale yellow lining. Gilt is applied to the edges of the cape. He wears a pale blue beret on his head which was usually worn only by french nobility in the 18th century. Both figures stand approximately 14" tall with bases measuring approximately 6" in diameter. The bases are adorned with handpainted flowers and gilt edges. There is a small vent hole in the base of each figurine. There is another small vent hole in the folds of the cape of the male figure but is barely noticeable. This is an absolutely beautiful bisque porcelain statue by Vion& Baury. She stands 16 1/2" tall. The base measures 5 1/2" across. This is a very heavy piece weighing almost 6 pounds. The attention to detail and quality is amazing! She is in excellent condition with only a few minor flaws. There are a couple of chips at the base and one of her hands looks as if it has been repaired. There are some minor imperfections due to age and wear. Please see photos. Antique Terracotta Victorian Bust! Here we have a Fabulous Antique Terracotta Bust of a Victorian Lady playing a Mandolin. She measures approximately 17" high by 12" wide-elbow to elbow. She came from the estate of an elderly woman who traveled extensively. And collected only the finest Antiques while in Europe. I was told by the family she was from Italy and purchased in France. or maybe it was the other way around? She is from the Victorian Era which would make her over 100 years old! She has the most peaceful look on her realistic face as she strums(what I can only assume it a love ballad) on her Mandolin. Beautifully done from her Lace Collar and Cuffs to her Flowered Dress. She is wearing a mosaic pendant around her neck and has a pretty hair band around the curls that fall from the top of her head. I have brushed her with ... morea soft paintbrush to get the dust off and lightly wiped her down. I see in the photos there is more dust close to her collar. And mostly in the crevasses of her hands, around her facial features etc. but I did not want to do a real cleaning as I am not an expert in Terracotta, so I will leave this up to the lucky winner. So please excuse the lack of cleaning and the camera glare. She has some loss of the"velvet" on her pendant around her neck and it looks like part of the Mandolin neck has been glued. I actually didn't notice this for a while, as when she is placed on the table it is not all that noticeable. Certainly does not detract from the detailed beauty of this piece. Some little nicks here and there as is typical of terracotta from this era. She has felt around the base and the numbers 477 29 on the back. She is very heavy! A lovely Art Piece that doesn't come along very often. Perfect for your Eclectic, Victorian or Curated Home! I have a very low reserve which does not reflect the value of this piece. Rare HUGE Antique Sevres Vion Baury French Paris Porcelain Man Figurine Figure
This is a beautiful rare large hand painted porcelain figure created in France circa 1870-90. He is very heavy weighted and a large size at 19 1/4 inches high by 7 inches wide. And weighs a whopping 11.12 lbs. The green anchor mark of the Vion& Baury factory has worn away, but is partially found on his lady mate listed in my separate listing. His face is very finely handpainted and he is walking in the meadow holding a baby goat as the momma goat looks up lovingly. This figure displays very well however the momma goat has one broken ear and the bottom of his scruff and the baby goat has one broken ear. There is a shallow chip on the back bottom base and the pink flowers are chipped on top. There is a tight hairline on the back of the figure near the bottom and also under the base. It is very tight and the figure feels very solid. Superb ... morefigure for the collector! Both the body and the mechanism were certainly made in France in 1860’s(most likely in the year 1863) by two different French manufactures: porcelain factory“ Jean Gille” was most likely the case maker and clock mechanism maker was” J Marti& Cie” About Porcelain: porcelain parts have no markings but I’m convinced that this case was made at the factory of Jean Marie Gille of 28 Rue Paradis Poissonnierre.Paris,France.I’m very well familiar with the products of that manufacture,I have some marked/unmarked figures made at that manufacture in my collection(some are offered for sale in my shop)And all technical evidence confirm my proposition. Not all wares were marked at that factory. But the style,overall quality of sculpture and enamel decorations typical for J.M Gille make it difficult to confuse those wares with anything else.Jean G

Has a Green Under-Glaze Anchor mark as pictured on the base. Made in the late 19th C. by the French Company Vion& Baury(C.1880's Time Period. Measures approximately 9' in height, and the condition is just fine. There are no hairlines, cracks, or repairs. There are some rim edge chips on the lower part of the base as pictured, this rim section measures about 1.75' Also, some loss to the gold decoration that runs around the oval base that is commensurate with the age. Large and heavy, ready to hang. Each wall plaque measures 21" high X 17" wide. The porcelain plaque with the man and woman measures approx. 12 1/2" high X 10" wide. There are a few chips that need to be mentioned. There is a small chip on the lower portion of the frame(see photo#5) There is a small piece of the gold chipped off on the other frame(see photo#6) On that porcelain plaque, the woman is missing the tips of her 4 fingers. Also, looks like there was an old repair on the man's left arm. Each figure measures about 8 1/2" tall x 4 1/2" at their widest. The male figure holds his lute instrument and sits on a bench with books atop of it. The female figure holds a song book and is singing to the tune of the lute. The male figure was professionally repaired many years ago and broke off around his knee region. Antique French Paris Samson Porcelain SIGNED FIGURAL GRAPE CENTER BOWL 19thc. This is a very fine Samson bowl that is about 10 inches long and about 4 inches tall very fine details and a very fine French copy of a German Meissen item. Very fine details with the mold work and grapes and the gold gilt and the hand painted areas. Well marked on the bottom with the Samson mark crossed cuffed swords. It does have a restored handle and a bunch or grapes has been worked on but looks very nice and display great. Loads of nice photos. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. Antique French parian ware sculpture figurine woman and boy Kaesbach
This parian ware figurine is 11 ½ inches high. 10 inches deep and 9 inches across. The figurine is a charming depiction of a woman with a child hanging on her back. The figurine is signed on the back with a blue crossed branches mark. It has impressed marks on the bottom that read Genuine Bisquit and Made in France. The piece is signed on the side with Kaesbach, which would likely be Rudolph Kaesbach(1873-1955) We are not sure whether he did this work or it is after his style. It is a lovely piece. The workmanship on the piece is excellent, especially on the fingers and the toes. It dates to the early 20 th century. It is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks or repairs. The only imperfection is in the indentation on the womans arm that has something on it, maybe tape residue.

Pair Antique French Porcelain Handpainted Dubois(?) Figurines Wall Plaques !!!!
From my 35 +++ years of collecting. Pair of antique, handpainted porcelain figurines sculpture hanging wall plaques. Very high quality with exquisite workmanship, 3 dimensional super high relief. Large and heavy, ready to hang. Each wall plaque measures 21" high X 17" wide. The porcelain plaque with the man and woman measures approx. 12 1/2" high X 10" wide. There are a few chips that need to be mentioned. There is a small chip on the lower portion of the frame(see photo#5) There is a small piece of the gold chipped off on the other frame(see photo#6) On that porcelain plaque, the woman is missing the tips of her 4 fingers. Also, looks like there was an old repair on the man's left arm. The tip of the woman's right shoe is chipped(small and underneath) On the other plaque, the only chip that I can see is the man's ... moreright pinky finger. Otherwise, everything else is in excellent condition. Note: The color of the background green on both wall hangings are more in line with photo#1,2,and 3. Photo#8,9,10, show a darker green(just the way it photographed) The green is NOT THAT DARK. I purchased these wall hangings from an estate sale approx. 35 yrs. ago. The estate was loaded with high quality/fancy ANTIQUE FRENCH furniture) PLEASE TAKE A PEEK AT MY OTHER ITEMS LISTED. UPDATE: I noticed that one of the porcelain was loose and carefully removed it from the hanging wall plaque. Much to my surprise. The back of the porcelain is marked with a makers mark which I believe could be the mark of Vincent Dubois. but I'm not sure. There are 2 crossed arrows with feather ends. The blue feather is well defined. Vincent Dubos, who established a hard-paste factory in 1773, using for his mark 2 crossed branches with leaves, in allusion to his name. They are sometimes called pointless arrows. From my 30 +++ years of my personal collection. Large Exquisite French Porcelain Group. This group is of 3 women and 1 man around a parlor table. Very vibrant colors. Measurements of the base approx. 11 1/2" long by 8" wide. Man figurine stands approx. 8 3/4" high. Woman in back stands almost 8 3/4" high. Woman sitting in front measures approx. 6 3/4" at highest point. Woman sitting in back measures approx. 6 3/4" at highest point. Parlor table approx. 3" high. Not including items on table) The underglazed blue mark is apparently Vincent Dubois(1771- 1840) The blue mark is two crossed lines or bolts with feathered ends. The blue feather is well defined. There is a round brownish circle with a Y demarcating 3 initals F.B. S. I am guessing that these are the artists that worked on this piece and it is of an ... moreolder date rather than the earlier time. On the bottom is"Made in France" in blue. Vincent Dubois established in 1773 a hard-paste factory, using for his mark two crossed branches with leaves, in allusion to his name. They are sometimes called pointless arrows. This porcelain group is in absolutely mint condition. If I wanted to be critical(and I will) there is a"flea-bite" on the black paint of the man's left shoe. Superb Rare Antique Sevres French Porcelain Cavalier Man Dresden Figurine Figure
This is a very fine hand painted porcelain figure of a handsome gentleman created by Sevres. France. He is 7 1/4 inches high and displays beautifully with fine detailing and gold gilt trim. His sword is broken off at either end in the back and he has some small chips to his lace trim, otherwise very good/excellent condition with no major repairs.
