A Pair Of Berlin KPM White Porcelain Allegorical Figurals 20th Century. With Blue Sceptre Mark Gorgeous figures that were obtained from an Estate sale. The male figure was done after a model by Friedrich Elias Meyer from 1765. Depicting Summer and done as a spice dish. He at some point in his years took a fall as someone repaired his one arm and hand(see photo's) He is missing just the very tips of his fingers on that hand. He could no doubt be professionally repaired and other than this one fault he is in excellent condition! He has no other chips or cracks and has weathered his many years very well. The lady figure is in excellent condition with just the smallest of areas right at the rim of her base that show a bit of wear in her porcelain. Other than that she is in beautiful condition with no cracks or chips. This auction is for a 20th century large ceramic Persian cat figurine. Decorated in a beautiful, rare rockingham glaze and glass eyes. This piece has a small chip to its base and damage to its right ear as well as to the crown of its head which has been painted or restored quite nicely at some point in its past. I have encountered many of these Persian cat figurines over the years but this is the only one that I have ever been remotely tempted to purchase. I believe this to be an" END OF THE DAY" piece, decorated by an employee to take home. The glaze is so stunning on this feline that it elevates this piece into the realm of folk art, rather than just another of the more common white glazed examples. Royal Dux Tango Dancer Art Deco Figurine - Early 20th Century
This is a Vintage Royal Dux Figurine of a Lady Tango Dancer. She stands about 15” Tall and her round base is about 4 ¾” wide. She is wearing a soft pink dress with fringe and accessorized with matching hat. Bracelets, earrings and shoes in a deeper pink/rose/maroon color. Her face is beautifully painted as are the flowers in her hair. Her hair is jet black and cut in a bob. The marking on the bottom of the base are as follow: Blue Ink Stamp is comprised of a“Circle with an Acorn inside of a Diamond inside of a Circle all surrounded by Made In Czechoslovakia” Also impressed into the base are the numbers“14240” and the word Czechoslovakia. See picture of base) She is in great condition but wanted to mention a couple of things I noticed: 1) during production the glaze used on the hat seems to have been applied heavier in some areas more ... morethan other. The bottom has the well-known glazed crossed blue swords which is the hallmark of Meissen and is right underneath the base of this figurine; the number 73372 is impressed along the number 271L.
