There are loose black threads throughout, used to sew the rags into strips for weaving. There are less on the side that seems to have been up; likely the threads came off through use. But the rug shows little use- looks wonderful! This rug came out of a VERY dusty old attic, and really needs cleaning. That attic held many other long-forgotten antique hooked and rag rugs. Antique 19th Century MEISSEN- Je les Ramene" Porcelain Cupid Motto Figure Figurine Antique German Meissen“Je les Ramene” cupid motto figure. The heavy porcelain figurine of a cupid or putto is surrounded by and holding flowers with a quiver full of arrows. The fine hand-painted porcelain figurine has a raised oval plaque on the front with the French words“Je les Ramene” written in script. The figure is signed on the underside with the blue under-glaze crossed swords Meissen mark. The number 11 in red glaze and an impressed“F12” and“48” The Meissen figure has tiny chips to a few of the flowers and an approximate ½” crack on the pedestal that is holding flowers. The original garland that the cupid is holding is broken in several parts and only two pieces of it remain as seen in the photos below. Here's a unique pair of hand made folk art pottery Spaniel Dogs. Each dog measures 6" x 3 1/2" x 9 1/2" ht. Since each dog was made seperately one weigh a hefty 4 lbs 10 ozs and the other dog weighs over 5 lbs! Both Spaniels are still in excellent near perfect condition, with only some normal clear glaze surface crazing, any lines shown are also on the surface only with no cracks. there is a minor flaw around one of the backside airholes, and a tiny surface flaw on the bottom edge of one side, the spot on the right dog's nose is not a chip but appears to be an old speck of paint( please see all pics) Total weight of this Awesome Pair 10 lbs!

Beautiful vase in mint condition made by the distinguished porcelain maker Jacob Petit(1830-1860) Depicting a pair of doves. One sitting in her nest with eggs and the other standing in a bark. Great colors all around the piece, has a scroll base which makes it very rococo style typical of the Jacob Petit factory. It is gilded on its base and also inside the vase. This is an extremely rare piece to find and its around 180 years old. This is not a reproduction, guaranteed to be original. Its got its original blue stamp under the base and measures 7.5 in height and the base diameter is 5 in. This vase is made of heavy porcelain. Buyer pays shipping costs and insurance. It appears the woman held something in her right hand at one time. The piece has broken off. Her hand is intact and perfect. The other condition issue is a small chip on the inside, top of her hat. The piece is marked. The marking is located near the chip on her hat on the inside. Please see photos. Dancing feminine angel candlestick description. Beautifully hand painted with gold. Green, pink, purple, and yellow colors. Colors still vibrant on this unique flowered vined tree. 90% of the gold paint is still present! Many of the flowers have chips. 5 petals missing from under the cups. Center cup is cracked. So much detail still in place. You can see the exquisite detail and coloring of the angels hands, her hair, the red coloring in her lips. So much detail in the flowers and trees. It's gorgeous. A masterpiece. Candlestick number two, violin angel boy description. Also beautifully hand painted with gold, green, pink, yellow, brown, and black colors. Meissen 19th Century "The Capture of the Triton" Spectacular Perfect LOOK
We areffering a 19th Century Meissen Grouping entitled the"Capture of the Triton" Originally modelled in 1769 by. J.J. Kaendler with the assistance of Punct and Schoenheit. This grouping depicts two scantily-clad Nymphs and a putto. Hauling a net containing fish and a young Triton holding a conch horn. The rockwork base modelled with reeds. Shells. A lobster and a frog. This is a rare and very complex grouping. Large grouping the dimensions are 12 3/4 inches in height. 10 inches in length and 5 1/2 inches in depth. It is marked with the Meissen crossed swords and inscribed with the. Model number C35 and the painters mark 49. As with all Meissen everything is condition. This grouping is in the finest condition I have ever seen. Their is not a blemish. Absolutely beautiful grouping.

This is a lovely piece of Austrian porcelain and it is pretty near perfect. One of the lace bows is missing about a 10th of an inch on the first photo. That is it. All of the grapes. The leaves, and the fingers are present and accounted for. The painting is excellent-this was a top of the line piece when created. And I have seen later reproductions-they do not have the charm and skill this one has. it is amazing. It is 6.5 inches tall. LOOK AT THE PHOTOS caref ully. Antique Vtg Bisque Figural Girl with Basket Toothpick Holder - late 19th Century
This listing features a delightful OLD bisque match holder. The paper you see in front of it is a note that was stuck inside that reads"match holder out of an old estate over 100 years old" I bought the match holder at an estate sale. Who was the author of the note(and she was old when she passed away, so, the piece is from the late 1800's) It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The basket has raised weave so it acts as a striker also. It stands 5 1/2" tall. On the bottom is an old piece of tape with some partial letters on it. As far as I know it is not marked as to maker. 19th Century Antique Matching Numbered Pair Staffordshire Porcelain Spaniel Dogs
Here is a perfectly wonderful old numbered and trade marked matching pair of Staffordshire Spaniels that date back to the late 1800's. The British royalty loved their Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and they became a revered subject for the porcelain pottery makers of 19th Century England. The pair came down with my Great-Grandparents to Bartow. Florida in 1910 and have been in the family since. I only say this because it probably makes them a"one owner" provenance. The mark on the base is that of"Old Staffordshire Ware England" And both pieces are numbered but only one still legibly. They appear to be numbered 43 and 17 and of course, the numbers are under the original glaze. In 1892 Parliament decreed that English pottery must say"England" on the bottom. Twenty years later the mark had to read"Made ... morein England" The Spaniels stand 5 1/2" high and the base is four inches long by 2 3/4" at the widest part. The pair is in absolutely perfect condition. With no cracking, chipping or crazing whatsoever. I photographed them in sunlight and with flash to try and bring out the lovely rose gold paint under the glaze. The locket and collar are probably 24 carat solid gold paint. I will want to send these insured for at least the value of the winning bid. If you would like. I can insure them for the appraised value of five hundred U.S.D. I will not take the chance of sending them overseas.

Meissen 19th Century Fig Grp Two Putti/Mask with Cat/Bird Rare H88
We are offering an incredibly rare Meissen Grouping depicting Two Putti one holding a large Mask with an open mouth, sticking out of the mouth is a cat. Which is looking at the bird coming out of the cage which is looked over by the second putti. They are sitting on a rock base with foilage. The grouping is marked with Meissen crossed swords under the glaze and is inscribed with the model number H88. The dimensions are 6 inches in height and 5 3/8 inches in width. The condition is excellent with no chips or imperfections.

Antique Large Staffordshire Polychrome Hen on Nest with Number Late 19th Century. Handsome late 19th century large Staffordshire Hen on Nest. The hen lid is finely hand painted bisque porcelain. The nest base is glazed porcelain. Both lid and base are marked with a hand lettered number 48. This is an old piece; you can see the marks of fingers on the underside of the lid. The hen is 7 1/2 inches tall by 9 inches long. It weighs 3 lbs 9 oz(5 lbs shipping weight) Condition: The lid is in very good condition. No chips. Cracks save a few small chips on the tail. Paint intact except for wear on the red paint on the hen's comb. The base has a long hairline crack and some glaze losses plus one small chip on the rim, as shown. Please see the detail photos below.
