It still has a nice shine to it's formica top. The table still has a sticker on it's extra leaf that shows this table was sold by the Redlick- Newman co. I did a little research on the company and it looks like it was a furniture store in San Francisco. The company was in business from the early 1900's until 1975. Apparently. In the 30's, the two families, Redlick, and Newman, were associated by marriage. The families had a feud in the early 1930's and it led to the demise of their partnership. Vintage Industrial Metal School Dining Work Table w/Laminate Top, Restored Legs
For auction is one beautiful vintage school table with metal legs restored in a brilliant fire engine red paint. Manufactured by the American Seating Company in the 1950s. The top features the original silvery-gray marbled laminate and metal trim band. The trim, while it has been cleaned and polished, exhibits wear and scratches common to decades of institutional use, as does the top. The laminate is actually in quite good shape, though there is an area with some very pale yellowish stains, and a small W or M carved into the surface near one edge(pictured) On of the corners has also been slightly dented(pictured) The steel legs. However, have been fully restored and freshly painted. Made in England Antique base New top Mahogany Satinwood band Carved pedestal Tilt top Excellent condition, This handsome table is an English antique pedestal made from lovely mahogany and a new top made for it. The pedestal was recently French polished by an English master craftsman and is in excellent condition today. With a 45″ diameter this tilt top table would serve perfectly as a small dining table. Conference table, or in a large entryway or foyer with a beautiful vase or statue on it. Tilt top tables ... morehave the advantage of being sturdy but also tilting up and moving out of the way when needed. The mahogany wood is a lovely, dark color and is contrasted with a satinwood band and ebony string inlay around the outside. This combination of colors and grains really makes the table top stand out. Perfectly complimenting the top is a three leg single pedestal base. This base has some carved details. Each of the three legs end in a wooden carved ball and claw foot. The carving is subtle and makes the table feel more elegant. Because the carved pedestal was recently French polished in England and the top is newly made from England the condition is excellent. It is strong and sturdy. The tilt mechanisms work well. The top was made by a third generation craftsman who used traditional. Hand finishing techniques to achieve an antique-like finish to the top of the table that will only grow more beautiful as time passes. The base was originally made around 1900. Charming 4' Vintage 1950s-Era Wood School Work Dining Table w/Laminate Top
For auction is one simple 1950s-era public school work table. It has solid wood legs and frame and a laminate top edged with a wide aluminum band. It is in good condition and still retains all of the marks and graffiti left by generations of children. The laminate top is a pale gray with a woven pattern and is in good condition overall. Aside from some fine dark scratches throughout and a small indentation(pictured) One of the corners has been dented in slightly, which chipped and raised the very edge of the laminate(pictured) Both long sides of the wood frame have markings; one side has a series of thin vertical lines and the other has a more noticeable cluster to the left.
