Giacometti style console table metal & glass midcentury modern bird sculpture
This is a lovely console table that is. I assume, in the style" of Diego Giacometti, and not an original. I suppose it is possible that it is an original but I believe the originals were in bronze and this seems to be steel or cast iron, with a dark verdigris patina. There is a little bit of flaking of the patina, as can be seen in the pictures. It can be touched up. The thick glass top has a small chip to one corner. Otherwise this stylish table is in good condition. An original Giacometti console table sold at auction in New York for $1.7 million not so long ago. Up for auction is a Mid Century Modern Isamu Noguchi Style Triangle Glass Table w/Tripod Wood Base. The Noguchi Table comprises a wooden base composed of two identical curved pieces. And a heavy plate glass top. This table measures 19 1/2 inches high overall. The green tint glass top measures 1/2 inch thick x 28 inches on the long edge; 24 inches on the short edges and weighs almost 20 lbs. The solid wood base consists of two identical parts that are reversed and connected to each other by a pivot rod. The shape of the two wooden supports produce a self-supporting and stable base. Allowing the heavy plate glass top to be placed without the use of connectors. This table is in very good vintage condition with normal wear and tear for its age. We ship to the Continental USA Only. Vintage Goran? Hollywood Regency Style Glass Table Set.
Up for bids is a vintage glass coffee and end table set from the 1960’s and 70’s. This set is perfect Hollywood Regency Style. Were 90% pretty sure this set was made by Goran Manufacturing Co Inc in Belgium and have the same gold vein marble finish mirrors as the company was known for. They’ve been in the family since new but no one seems to remember what brand it was(at least anyone of sound mind and credible that is) Anyway as for condition other than the one end table having a broken top they are in pretty good condition and still have a nice mirror finish on the bottom shelf’s. 1. Starting with the coffee table it has very minor wear and very good edges on the glass. There are a few minor(very light) scratches in one spot on the top glass. I tried to show in a close up photo but they didn’t show up very well but again they are very minor ... moreand not deep(I could not feel them by touching only visually see them) so a professional glass shop should be able to polish them out no problem. The mirror piece is pretty nice condition with very little deterioration as can be seen and there is a strange square place cut on one corner as seen on photos but its not really noticeable and very small. I suspect this was done at the factory and is the only edge on any of the glass that’s not perfectly smooth. The brass coated legs show age on finish and would need to be replated to make it look showroom condition but are still presentable as they are. 2. End table#1 is pretty nice shape with nice edges. Nice glass and good mirror finish and like the coffee table it has very little if any deterioration on the mirroring. Also like the coffee table; the brass coated legs show age on finish and would need to be replated to make it look showroom condition but are still presentable as they are. This one is the only one with any identifiable markings and has the date July 18 1975 on the bottom but the other two do no have this date. 3. The glass is 3/4" thick and is massive. The visiable area of the glass is in excellent condition, there are two corners that have small chips but they are way inside the columns and not visible while in use. The columns are made from polished aluminum and are in good vintage condition showing normal wear. If desired, you could polish these cylinders up to a mirror finish. Chrome, Walnut and Glass Console Table Harvey Probber Style Mid Century Modern
Fine Items from ALittleUnlimited Description A beautiful and finely crafted mid century modern console table in the style of Harvey Probber- it looks like a Harvey Probber wall case mounted in a chrome frame with a glass top. But the table is unmarked with the exception of the hand written note on the inside of the drawer. It measures 29 1/2" tall. 38" long and it is 14" deep. The height of the space from the top of the walnut case to the upper chrome frame is 3 1/2" It is in fine vintage condition with normal signs of wear and use. I have not cleaned the chrome or polished the walnut case. There may be minor signs of wear and age to the chrome- but it appears to be in excellent condition and just in need of cleaning- I see no pitting or marring to it. The drawer slides nicely and the walnut case is in fine condition as ... morewell. It is finished on the back so this table can be used as a free standing piece of furniture with the back looking as beautiful as the front.
