This is a gorgeous inlaid Sheraton style console table that opens up into a dining room table. UNFORTUNATELY IT IS MISSING THE LEAVES. Fortunately. It can be used as a console without them. This piece is in such good condition. Only flaws I could find are the one leg with a little missing inlay as shown in the picture and a couple of very minor nicks in the edge that to me. We are pleased to offer this EXCEPTIONAL. Older vintage, Mid Century(1940s) iron table base. This is a superb table, crafted in the French Art Deco style with influences of both Subes and Poillerat. The table features upper and lower sections of long wrought iron ribbons which are curved/rolled at their interior ends. The upper and lower ribbons meet at the circular table stretcher. These ribbons form both the table legs/base as well as the table top support. The legs are supported by SUBSTANTIAL wrought iron twists which are welded to each leg. The table stretcher support features a very thick wrought iron wire accent which is welded around the perimeter. The iron is finished in a beautiful coppery gold and bronze which is done in a brush linear pattern. The pattern is subtle and, at a quick glance, the table appears to have an aged, gilded ... morefinish. This is a remarkable table, superbly crafted. It is very heavy and the iron measures.25" in thickness. The table could be used as a dining table, a grand entry/library table or large accent piece. It is in very good condition with some expected aging and wear of the finish. It is structurally very nice. The table does not have glass. Replacement glass is easy to come by and retailers such as Pier One carry very nice pieces. The table is structurally sound enough to hold a piece of marble as well and may have had a marble top when new. There are no manufacturer's marks or stickers. DESCRIPTION: Distinctive Adrian Pearsall style"jacks" dining table base. I think it's oak or walnut. This unique sculptural base has one factory hole in each of the top stems to accommodate screwing into a wood top. Each of the"legs" have a steel floor cap. The underside center of the base is secured with a three-screw bar(looks to be original based on patina) The base is constructed of one flat-plane"star" base with one"V" shaped leg attached to the center section. It appears that it may have been joined by biscuits as there are two small staples on each of the"V" legs. DIMENSIONS: 27" tall. Antique Trestle Dining Table- Craftsman Missin Stickley Style Table Item belonged to my great Uncle. It is very old. But I am not sure of its exact age. The top appears to have some swirl marks that I noticed for the first time after bringing it outside to take photos. The marks are possibly from the rag used to apply stain. Made in England Circa 1960 Yew wood Single pedestal Sturdy Minor repair to banding, Done is a spectacular yew wood. This single pedestal dining table will serve your family for years to come. It makes a great table for the dining room. Kitchen, or as a small conference table. While on our hunts for wonderful antique furniture in England sometimes we find great pieces of yew wood furniture like this single pedestal dining table. I love yew wood which has a mellow color and wispy grain that is often speckled with tiny ... moreknots or“birds eyes” Yew is a wood native to England and was the wood originally used to make the English long bow back in the Medieval era. It is also used to make beautiful musical instruments. We have dated this table to about 1960 and of English origin. The maker complemented the yew wood top by adding a mahogany cross banded border. This border helps define the round shape of the single pedestal dining table. The pedestal is a turned pedestal with four splay legs that end in brass claw foot casters. We have rated the condition of this round table as good. It is sturdy and strong and ready for everyday use. The only flaw is a small repaired section of the banding which we have included a close up photo of. This is all that prevents the piece from being considered excellent condition. The repair was well done and is not glaringly obvious. Overall this is a great table that will serve your home or office for many years to come! The height from the floor to the bottom of the apron is 26.75″ A gorgeous yew wood round dining table. The yew creates beautiful patterns and colors with its grain. Here is a close up of the wood.
