GEBRUDER HEUBACH BISQUE PIANO BABIES BOY& GIRL BUBBLE BLOWERS~NO PIPES, Direct from a Central FL estate. Wonderful pair of Heubach boy& girl bubble blowers. Alas, they are missing their pipes, as is usually the case when these rare figures come to the market. When I bought them, they were so filthy, I have no idea how they even survived! Each measure 9" tall. The only issues I find(besides not having their pipes) is that the girl has a very tiny, shallow chip at the base on the back(this is an easy& inexpensive repair if it bothers you and/or you have a china restorer) I also want to point out that I believe the girl had her hand touching the bowl& became separated in the firing process. I say that because the 2 fingers that are together& the thumb are not glazed or painted on the very tips& appear to have been ... moretouching the bowl when in the clay stage. Also, the bowl has a very fine stress line at the base only on one side(not a crack, is in the firing) This does not go all the way around the bowl. It most likely was bumped going into to the kiln or somehow shifted in the kiln. I guarantee this is not a big deterrent& does not dimish the value. I only mention to be 100% accurate. Both figures have the impressed Heubach mark. Although I did clean them pretty good(I tell you, they were disgusting! I now see in the closeups that they could use a good soaking to get all the grim out of the difficult crevices. I was just so excited to have rescued these sweet children from further neglect! For your consideration is an Antique Piano Baby Figurine made by Gebruder Heubach. A Piano baby is a figurine used to hold the edges down on the large shawls that would cover the piano. Doll sits 8 1/4" tall. The company. Which translates as Heubach Brothers, was established in 1843 by Georg Christoph and Phillipp Jakob Heubach when they purchased an existing porcelain factory in Lichte, Germany. The company began to manufacture items such as household pottery. Figurines and novelties, and in 1863 opened a local art school for sculptors. This training led to the company becoming renowned for its high quality and lifelike figurines, including their range of which are highly sought after by modern collectors. The company registered its‘sunburst’ mark in 1882. And by 1910 h ad begun to produce bisque dolls. Along with bisque doll heads ... morefor other manufacturers across Europe and the United States. By 1938 the company was forced to close and file for bankruptcy. Condition; She has all her toes! There is a slight stress crack to one arm as pictured. Purchased long ago along with her mate and also a collection of about 50 Heubachs…she is guaranteed Heubach. As any Heubach collector can tell you, they are not all marked. This girl stands a massive 16” tall. She is holding a fan above her head. The fan is embellished with purple hand painted flowers. This girl has a very serene look on her face. See close-up pictures. She has intaglio blue eyes and coral colored blush and lips. There are ever so slight dimples on her cheeks. Her blonde hair is done in a top knot with a pink bow. Her dress is a pale greenish yellow with purple and gold embellishments of flowers and leaves and scrolls. There is one flaw ... morewhich is a shallow chip at the front right bottom edge. It has been painted in(paint matches well) and is not very visible. On the base. You might see slight smudges. This is where the painter held the item while decorating it. This is an original matching pair of Victorian era. Hand-painted bisque porcelain busts of a girl and a cavalier boy that is circa 1880's- 90's. This pair of charming bisque figures are unmarked. Judging from the technique, colors, and quality of this small busts I would say that they could have easily have been made by the GEBRUDER HEUBACH factory in Germany, but you can be the judge of that yourself. These delicately modeled antique bisque figurines features a elegant Victorian girl in a beautiful bonnet and handsome young Cavalier. Both are done in a bright jewel like pastel colors. This pieces is in very good condition and almost no wear to the paint at all. There is only one very small chip to the back of her bonnet as can be seen in the images. 11 1/2" Heubach Dancing Girl Bisque Figurine, Marked Heubach, Excellent!
This wonderful antique bisque figurine was made by Gebruder Heubach in the late 1890's or early 1900's. She measures 11 1/2" tall and is in excellent condition with no cracks or repairs. My camera flash really washed her face out.she is beautifully painted and has intaglio eyes! She has the Heubach marking in two different areas. There is an impressed marking along the back edge. Which shows up well in the fourth photo. There is also a blue inked marking on the underside, which I could not capture with my camera due to the flash. I can see no visible damage or signs of repairs. There are a few shallow flakes on the INSIDE of the bottom edge, however they might have happened at the factory(and do not show from the outside at all) She does have a few of the usual firing lines, however they happened during the firing and are NOT ... moredamage. There is a short one where her neck meets her chest(in the front) some lines where her hair meets her neck(in the rear) a short one on the underside of one wrist, and another around the top of one arm, where it meets her lacy collar. If you do not like firing lines or are inclined to think of them as cracks(which they are not) then this figurine is not for you. I know these are firing lines as there is a build-up of the flesh tone in them. The decoration on her dress is particularly attractive and well-done. While unmarked. These large bisque figurines were made in Germany during the late 19th century, c. 1890. The intaglio eyes and facial painting look very much like Gebruder Heubach. They measure 15" tall and are very heavy! They are dressed in colonial-inspired clothing which is very typical of Victorian bisque figurines. With the exception of a few minor flaws, they are in excellent condition. The girl has one broken missing finger.the pointer finger on her left hand, over the fan, is missing. There is a factory line across the back of her hair, near the neck, which occurred during the firing and is NOT damage. Other than that, the girl is perfect. German All-Bisque "Boy in Bunny Suit" Candy Container Gebruder Heubach LOOK
A little child is posed standing behind a bisque egg-shell designed for use as Easter candy container. And has a white bunny costume draped over his head and cascading down his back with a real rabbit fur tail. The boy has painted features, closed mouth with a smiling expression, while the bunny-face features solemn brown eyes, painted downcast lips and a grey nose tip. There is a painted number on bottom and I am pretty sure it is made by Gebruder Heubach, circa 1910. He is missing some of his digits but these are hard to find in any condition. He stands 5 inches high and is a great piece and as been in my collection for over 20 years.

Antique Bisque Piano Baby, Vintage Porcelain Doll, German, Heubach?
Here is a nice old Antique Bisque Piano Baby. Looks to be German but I'm not sure as I'm certainly not an expert. There are no markings on the bottom. It was one of many in my late mother's doll collection that she had for over 50 years and I know it was considered to be an antique when she bought it. She was a very knowledgeable and avid antique bisque doll collector. One of the legs was broken in the distant past and was repaired. Looks to be just a simple glue repair. Upon further inspection. Looks like some of the raised golden dots on the collar are gone too.most likely from handling through the years. I did not see this immediately and is not obvious. Also, tops of the toes on the right leg look flat/worn down from shelf wear through the years. Still, this piano baby certainly deserves a professional repair. There are a couple of rough edges on the egg shell(A couple of small chips- which are hard to see because they blend in with the shell. Also. 2 small cracks at bottom- not sure if these are just part of the base or cracks- please check pictures) About 6 1/2" tall. Very pretty piece. Stamped on back of dress.

Bisque Piano Figurine, Heubach style, 2 Girls- Pink and Blue, 5 inches tall
These are adorable bisque piano figurines in a Heubach style. They both measure 5 inches tall and approximately 3 inches wide. They are not labeled as to maker. But do have numbering on the bottoms. The blue figure is in excellent condition. She has no chips or cracks. The pink figure has some condition issues. I am not certain if she can be repaired or not. I am including her because they seem like a set. Her leg appears to have broken and was repaired poorly. There are no missing pieces. So perhaps a better repair could be made. She has also had breaks and repairs on her foot and upper torso. Again, these repairs are obvious with a yellowing glue, but all pieces are present. This is a Cutie Gebruder Heubach Piano Baby little girl. She is wearing a pretty dress with colors of dark green. Yellow, purple, white and her shoes are brown. There is no damage on the figurine and her left thumb, the tip, has a spot of green paint and right pinkie finger end is rough not chipped. What a darling little face, just love how the maker puts detail in these dolls little faces. It is in great antique condition with wear to the paint. There is also a small abraded area on the back of the umbrella which is not visible from the front view. The back is marked on the back with Heubach GH in oval mark. The bust is made of bisque porcelain and has been finely hand painted. The fair haired woman with blue eyes and red lips has a a creamy white colored shawl draped over her head and around her shoulders. Her light blode hair is peaking out from under the shawl and there is a pine cone shaped brooch in sage green and light brown on the front of her shawl. Their clothing is so nicely done and they each have tiny gold bead like accents on their clothing. It is strange as at first I thought they painted a line across it, and it took me a bit to realize it is a crack because it doesn't go around and she hasn't been repaired. Not even sure how it could do that? It doesn't detract from her delightful charm, and I am sure you could do a slight repair on it, but she has been that way as long as I've had her and I just noticed it. I purchased the set at an Antique Auction awhile back and have had them displayed, drawing quite a bit of attention. They do need to be lightly cleaned, or you may leave them as they are. I did not want to damage them in doing so, and they are 1900 c. There is a mark on the bottom of each. The female mark is difficult to see and the male has a better mark, but someone glued felt to the bottom? I tried to pull it back and take a picture. It is a double circle and I can read Germany but not sure what else. The way they did the facial features and the attention to detail make me wonder if they could be Heubach. Lovely Heubach German bisque-Enfolded in ruffles and ribbons. The sweet baby is playing with his or her own toes. Though this sweet little figurine has an opening in the back for a nosegay. It is in all other respects a miniature"Piano Doll" Dating from the late 19 th Century. This gem is fine ground bisque, with delicate tinting and gold accents. It has all the quality and distinctive look of Heubach and is incised with what I believe are the numbers“1652” as shown. Apprx. 2 5/8” high x 4 ¼” long. CONDITION Beautiful condition. With perfect face and toes. I always do my best to describe any flaws in my items and want you to be aware of an area on the back rim of the opening, where the bisque is thinnest. Though smooth to the touch, it could be a post production flake. It is mostly on the inside of the rim and is ¼” long ... morex less than 1/16” deep. Because it does feel smooth and is on the inside rather than the outside, it could have happened when the piece was removed from the mold. This is an adorable little boy piano baby figurine seated on a tall chair. He is wearing what looks like. A white sweater and light blue shorts and a peach hat. He is holding a piece of chalk in his hand and wearing wire glasses. The figurine is done in lovely soft pastel colors. Approximately 9 inches tall and 3 1/4 inches wide at widest point. Unmarked but judging from the quality he appears to be a Heubach creation. There is a minor chip to the inside of his hat that has been colored in and isn't noticable. This wonderful Piano Baby is very old. Marked with 398(8? See pic. Child holding a bag of what appears to be oranges. Some of the gold paint is worn around garments edges. Hand painted. 7" x 4" Excellent condition besides that. Not marked Germany but I am guessing it comes from Germany.
