Her little fingers& toes are very finely sculpted. She even has a belly button! She is a adorably sweet& looking for a new home. She has no chips. Cracks, flakes or restoration. Anywhere. Here's a BEAUTIFUL find from an estate purchase; this came from a very old household in central Kentucky. And was part of a large lot of antique and vintage pottery and porcelain which I'll be listing over the next few weeks. This beautiful young lady stands about 12 1/2" inches tall. Is dressed in winter clothes and has her pocket puppy wrapped in a warm cuff. I've seen this figural before(I've been collecting, hunting, trading and buying for over 30 years) and I can assure you that this is European production, German or Dutch origin, late 19th century to early 20th century and handpainted. If you really want to make it easy on yourself. I will make it as easy at it ... morewas on me when I found this piece. Inside the bottom, there is a tag with an inscription in typical old-lady writing: As far back as I can remember this doll was at our house- before 1914. It belonged to my mother Martha(Maarke? Hendrick. Please know that I am extremely tough in grading my pottery. Porcelain and glassware: I've been collecting. Selling and trading antique items for over 30 years, so I know that the only perfect piece is one that just left the factory. And even then it probably has some original-manufacture flaws. I tend to call out flaws that other sellers might not notice or conveniently overlook, so when I tell you it's right, it's right. I want everybody happy. That being said. Here's what I'd note to condition: There is a tiny flake/chip in the back of the base, visible in detail photo. There are also a couple lines on girl's left cheek which are probably original manufacture marks, not damage. Otherwise. damn. it's over 100 years of perfect. Very old and very stylish. It depicts a little boy with a bowl in his lap. Spoon in his right hand, and a bib. This was hand painted on the front. The back was not painted as was the custom at the time. This comes from a Pennsylvania estate that we purchased and have more going up for auction shortly. Very nice condition. All original. It is numbered 2734 on the back. Antique Stamped German Conta Boehme? Porcelain Bisque Girl Piano Baby Figurine
~ Antique German Piano Baby ~ Marked"Germany" on base with symbol that resembles a shield This is a large antique German bisque piano baby figurine that is from a deceased relative's China cabinet from the New Orleans area. I am not an expert on all the manufacturers of that era. But I do know that the authentic ones are marked or stamped with a symbol, crest or shield. This one has a stamp and also reads"Germany" on the base, while many others listed on eBay do not. So this one is not"probably" the real deal. IT IS. It is in the style of Conta& Boehme( This baby girl has golden tresses and is holding a cup. The era of this doll falls between the 1850s-1900. She has great, even pastel coloring and big dark-blue intaglio eyes with defined highlights, rosy cheeks with a hint of dimples, and an open smiling ... moremouth with row of molded upper teeth; blonde hair with pointy curls framing the happy face; bare feet with upturned toes; she wears a yellow embossed dress with gold highlights with blue lace ruffle trim and fuchsia pink bows at the shoulders, and she is holding a lavender-pink-colored cup. She is in overall fair condition. Because she is missing a little part of her index finger on her right hand. There is also a hairline on underside of base that slightly and very faintly extends up the bottom sides of the figurine(about 1/2-1/4 inch, please see photo) The hair line is smooth. I do not have the tip of the finger. PLEASE SEE PICS of underside and edge of base. Neither the hair line or little chip next to it is visible for purposes of display. I do not know enough about antique porcelain to know if the missing finger can be repaired/replaced, but I am guessing that this is possible if someone chooses to do so. There are a few scattered specks of spotty discoloration from age, the only ones really noticeable are on her toes. This is a bisque piano baby figurine with girl in a bonnet sitting down to eat with her spoon and plate while her little dog tries to steal a bite. Approximately 6 1/4 inches tall. 4 inches wide, and 5 1/4 inches deep. No makers mark but it is most likely German in origin. In excellent condition with just a few missing gold beads. Paint wear to the gold beads and a small nick to the bottom of figure(not noticable) Displays beautifully. This is an adorable german bisquepiano baby figurine depicting a little girl sleeping in her high chair. She is so cute with her little white with red lined stocking feet dangling from under her little purple dress. She is wearing a red bonnet on her head and her dress is dotted with little gold dots. In excellent condition with only a few of her dots missing. Approximately 4 3/4 inches tall. Bottom is 2 1/2 inches wide. Marked on inside bottom as shown. Superb! Antique German Porcelain Bisque Children Figure Bust Figurine Dresden
Gorgeous pair of Victorian handpainted busts of a little girl and boy. They date late 1800s and are beautifully handpainted and modeled. Measure approximately 11 and 10 1/2 inches high by 6 inches wide. They display wonderfully however the boy's hat has been broken and reglued to a section(see photos) and the girl is excellent besides a bit of paint wear on her chin and some nibbles to the very bottom base. Featured for Auction we have an Antique/ Vintage bisque figurine of a cherub on the side of a dragon headed sleigh. Wonderful coloring. Probably hand painted in pastel colors, with raised enamel. At least we believe this is bisque it may be porcelain. The little cherub is just adorable with his wavy hair, blue eyes, pink wings, and his arrow on his side. It measures about 8 1/2" long by 5" wide and 6" tall. We believe it is German in Origin, but are not certain as there are No Markings. It is in wonderful condition, with minor chipping on the flowers. Also we don't know if the dragons nose is supposed to blunt as it is or if it was pointy originally and broken off and repainted, as it is hard to tell. You are bidding on: A GORGEOUS ANTIQUE PAIR OF TALL BISQUE PORCELAIN HAND-PAINTED STATUES FEATURING A YOUNG COUPLE IN ROYAL DRESS AND BICORNE HATS. Here's a BEAUTIFUL find from an estate purchase- I acquired these several years back. And am only just now finding it time to part with them. This pair is just. Well. stunning. No other word for it. They stand about 13.5 inches tall, big enough to make a great display statement, and the colors and paint are dreamtastic! Young man is holding a small french horn in one hand and a letter in the other; young lady appears to be reading a letter just received. Both are wonderfully outfitted in period regalia. With pastel mauves and blues and gilt/gold trim, both wearing the very fashionable bicorner European hats often seen in military parades. There are no date or manufacture stamps on these figures, ... morebut experience and research tell me they are European in origin, probably German, and most likely date to the mid to early 20th century. Both have some faint pencil marks in the recessed areas of the bottoms, looks like initials and perhaps a date but too hard to read and I have no idea if that would be the mark of the original artist or a previous owner. Please know that I am extremely tough in grading my pottery. Porcelain and glassware: I've been collecting. Selling and trading antique items for over 30 years, so I know that the only perfect piece is one that just left the factory. And even then it probably has some original-manufacture flaws. I tend to call out flaws that other sellers might not notice or conveniently overlook, so when I tell you it's right, it's right. I want everybody happy. That being said. Here's what I'd note to condition: Both figures could use some light cleaning from experienced hands. They show some age in the recesses, and there are a few little"age spots" present, notably on the female's right arm area; if you are experienced with fine antique bisque you will know what I'm referring to. For your consideration is an Antique Piano Baby Figurine made by Gebruder Heubach. A Piano baby is a figurine used to hold the edges down on the large shawls that would cover the piano. Doll sits 8 1/4" tall. The company. Which translates as Heubach Brothers, was established in 1843 by Georg Christoph and Phillipp Jakob Heubach when they purchased an existing porcelain factory in Lichte, Germany. The company began to manufacture items such as household pottery. Figurines and novelties, and in 1863 opened a local art school for sculptors. This training led to the company becoming renowned for its high quality and lifelike figurines, including their range of which are highly sought after by modern collectors. The company registered its‘sunburst’ mark in 1882. And by 1910 h ad begun to produce bisque dolls. Along with bisque doll heads ... morefor other manufacturers across Europe and the United States. This figure was produced by Carl Schneider, one of the major German piano baby makers during the Victorian era. He is in good condition for age with all toes and fingers accounted for. I find no major chips or repairs that I can see. This is a gorgeous oil lamp swinger figurine depicting two children. A boy and a girl piano baby type figures sitting on a swing. Approximately 5 inches tall and 4 inches wide. There is no manufacturers mark but it is most definitely German in origin. In great condition with just some paint rub. A repair to the boys foot and a small chip to back of swing and a red paint mark near the chip. No other chips. Cracks or restorations. This is an original matching pair of Victorian era. Hand-painted bisque porcelain busts of a girl and a cavalier boy that is circa 1880's- 90's. This pair of charming bisque figures are unmarked. Judging from the technique, colors, and quality of this small busts I would say that they could have easily have been made by the GEBRUDER HEUBACH factory in Germany, but you can be the judge of that yourself. These delicately modeled antique bisque figurines features a elegant Victorian girl in a beautiful bonnet and handsome young Cavalier. Both are done in a bright jewel like pastel colors. This pieces is in very good condition and almost no wear to the paint at all. There is only one very small chip to the back of her bonnet as can be seen in the images. German? Bisque Porcelain Pair Figurine Man & Woman A Day At The Races
This is for an Antique German porcelain figurine/statue from 1910 to 1930 time frame measuring 10 inches tall. It shows a Victorian couple that looks like they may be at the races. She has looking glasses and he is waving a handkerchief. There is no makers mark only the numbers 1048 impressed on the side and on the bottom. The detail is wonderful, looks like they are standing near some ice. The colors are mainly Beige and Burgundy with gold trim. The condition is good but there has been some repair. He head has been glued back, ever hard to see, the tip of the handkerchief is missing and there is some loss of paint. Please look closely at all my photos as they are part of my description.

Antique Rare German Bear and Man Rocking Fairing Porcelain Bisque Figurine
This amazing German Bisque Fairing measures about 2" tall x 2-1/8 wide. And about 1-1/2" deep. it actually rocks when you push on the ear or man. Its paint is quite worn as can be sen in the pictures. This is one of the neatest pieces of bisque i have ever come across. There is a thin are to the bisque below their legs which is quite fragile, but seems in fine condition.

There is G on the bottom that has two arrows through then DEP. I took a picture of the bottom as well. When researching these after getting them from my husbands grandmother. I have found that marking to be from Grafenthal and he only used that marking in two years, 1879 and 1886. This is a late 19th century Rudolstadt, makers of fine antique German porcelain, bisque statue of a loving couple flirting on a loveseat. This pair have such animated detailed faces, typical of Victorian era work in Germany and the pale pink bisque is detailed in gold and turquoise blue, particularly on their clothing, as shown. This is a nice large figurine measuring 9 1/2 inches tall by 8 1/2 inches wide by 5 1/2 inches deep, front to back. Here is a nice old Antique Bisque Piano Baby. Looks to be German but I'm not sure as I'm certainly not an expert. There are no markings on the bottom. It was one of many in my late mother's doll collection that she had for over 50 years and I know it was considered to be an antique when she bought it. She was a very knowledgeable and avid antique bisque doll collector. One of the legs was broken in the distant past and was repaired. Looks to be just a simple glue repair. Upon further inspection. Looks like some of the raised golden dots on the collar are gone too.most likely from handling through the years. I did not see this immediately and is not obvious. Also, tops of the toes on the right leg look flat/worn down from shelf wear through the years. Still, this piano baby certainly deserves a professional repair. LARGE ANTIQUE GERMAN PORCELAIN BISQUE PARIAN VICTORIAN BOY FIGURINE STATUE OLD
Antique Porcelain Bisque Figurine of a victorian boy dressed in period clothing. Holding a flower leaning on a fence. Late 19th century- Early 20th century. Actual date is unknown believed to be of German origin. The boy is standing on a porcelain pedestal painted to look like marble. Ornate design painted on his clothing. Bright rosy cheeks, a fence with shrubs. The detailed gold gilt is rubbed off in some places through out the statue and he could could use a bath. I did not clean him. There is a very small chip on his left shoulder and there are no cracks. The overall condition of this piece is very good especially considering his age. I took many photo's in high definition at every angle and left the photo's side way's for a larger more detailed look. He stands 16 1/4 inches Tall and is 4 1/2 inches at the base. LOVELY AND UNUSUAL.I HAVE NEVER COME ACROSS ONE LIKE THIS LITTLE ITEM. FOR THE COLLECTOR. THIS IS AN OLD ANTIQUE RARE GERMAN THERMOMETER DISPLAY WITH BISQUE COUPLE. I ACQUIRED THIS FROM AN ESTATE SALE AND WAS TOLD IT WAS GERMAN BISQUE. MADE PRIOR TO 1945 FOR SURE(COULD BE MUCH OLDER) THE BASE IS WOOD AND COVERED COMPLETELY IN A SOFT ROSE COTTON VELVETEEN MATERIAL. THE MATERIAL IS NOT SYNTHETIC. BUT CAN'T BE SURE IT'S OIGINAL BECAUSE IT'S VERY CLEAN LOOKING. THERE IS AN"OBELISK" SHAPED PIECE IN THE CENTER OF THE DISPLAY PIECE THAT HOLDS THE ANTIQUE THERMOMETER(IT STILL CONTAINS THE ORIGINAL MERCURY AND STILL FUNCTIONS AS IT SHOULD) IT IS SOLID AND IN TACT. ON EITHER SIDE THERE ARE TWO 4.5 INCH BISQUE STATUETTES(ONE VICTORIAN LADY AND ONE VICTORIAN GENTLEMAN) THEY ARE VERY CUTE AND THEIR COLORS ARE SOFT PASTEL HUES. A LARGE BRASS RING IS NAILED TO THE POST IN THE MIDDLE. THE THERMOMETER BACK PIECE SEEMS TO BE BRASS AS WELL AND SHOWS A TOUCH OF TARNISH. THE NUMBERS ON THE LEFT START AT 30 AND GO STRAIGHT UP TO 110. Antique Victorian VOLKSTEDT LADY PUTTI Porcelain Plaque 19c German Bisque Figure This amazing high relief bisque plaque is attributed to Volkstedt German. Circa late 19th century. And features a classical maiden and her resting child. Made as part of a four seasons series. This one appears to be"A utumn" and has the mother and her child resting atop bales of hay. Excellent quality and attention to detail. One of the nicest plaques I have had the pleasure of listing. Approx. measurements of the plaque is 10 3/4" in diameter and approx. 2 1/2" deep. Excellent condition with minor age appropriate wear. The only thing I see that may be wrong, is the piec e she is holding in her hand. Is bit rough on bottom. From the photo of a similar one sold at Christie's(see note below) it looks like she is supposed to be holding a ... moresickle in her hand. It is not something you would not even notice unless you were looking at both plaques at same time. No other chips cracks or repairs. Colors are a bit brighter in photos than they are on actual plaque. Although unmarked. The plaque is definitely of German origin and most likely Volstedt. A complete set of 4 sold at auction at Christie's in 1998 for more than $4500 usd. The last photos is shown for reference only and shows the four plaques from Christie's. This listing is for the one plaque shown in other photos. If interested, I can also send the link to the original Christie's auction. Really an amazing antique classical bisque plaque. This stunning wall plaque was purchased in an antique store sellout. It carries a makers mark which cannot be clearly read even using 10x magnification but appears to be a sun with a line/scepter/spade through the middle of it. The back also has a clear pressed number"17" in the actual mold. The hand painted detail is like none that I have been able to research in viewing literally thousands of angels/putti's/plaques. But appears to be made in the 1800's. The plaque is 13 1/2" long x 10 1/2" W. NOT an antique appraiser or dealer. Not an expert- but a novice with glass. Large German Porcelain/ Bisque Boy Girl Figurine Figure
Here are two very cute German porcelain bisque boy and girl figurines. They are in matching pastel outfits. Their faces almost look real and look at the detailed hand painted flowers on the clothing. They are large figurines. The girl is 12 1/2" tall and the boy is 12 3/4" tall. The boy figurine is heavier than the girl as the girl figurines base is hollow. The boys right pinky finger is gone, two feathers on his hat are chipped and it looks like, at one time, he was holding something in his left hand. Other than just mentioned the figurines have no other issues. No markings. Nice figurines for the collector. I am happy to combine shipping when possible.
