Wearing his famous hat and the uniform of Colonel of Chasseurs Cheval de la Garde Imperial. Over one sholder is a rain cape, all medal's and orders showing. Stern look on his face, good details. He is marked on the back of the shoulders with double crossed"S" and a model number 2827. Shows soiling and wear including some lace loss on the back of both skirts(see my last two photos) All the fingers. Flowers and petals are intact and I see no cracks, breaks, crazing or repairs. The artwork is superb. The colors are a bit dulled but good cleaning will brighten them up. Measures about 4-3/4" wide x about 3-1/4" front to back x about 4-1/2" high. Lovely Antique Von Schierholz Girl with Apples Figurine c. 1946 well marked
THIS AUCTION. This auction is for a figurine of a young girl holding an apple in one hand and a basket of fruit in the other balanced against her hip. She is about 5 1/4" tall including the decorative base. Her face has been expertly painted and is incredibly sweet. Her hair has been painted strand by strand and the braid held in place with a blue bow. At her feet are several applied flowers(some small chips on petals)The decorative base is accented with lots of gold. The bottom is well marked: in blue underglaze the von schierholz mark of crown with shield and 3 oak leaves as well as A.D. 1946. There are also some incised numbers 99 and 756. There is a major repair on this piece. The little girl's left arm broke off just below the shoulder at one time. It was properly aligned but you can feel the roughness of glue and see some chips ... moreof paint. This could be touched up to be almost negligible but I have not attempted it. There is also the tiniest of chips off her thumb holding the basket. Really a precious piece! I photograph all defects or damage that I notice. Antique porcelain Cherub with flower basket. Very nicely made. Nicely painted with rosy blush and nicely sculpted with details such as knee dimples and inner thigh creases, beautiful face. Antique MINIATURE hand-painted CUP & Plate ( marked 1766 Austria )
Super cute little cup dated back to 1766 as seen on the bottom of each of the pieces. COLLECTOR ITEM! The cup( 2.5 inches- 6.5 cm) shows some wear on the gold rim on top. And has a micro little chip missing on the bottom. I consider it still in super condition. The plate( 5 x 2.5 inches- 11 x 6 cm) has one mini and one small porcelain chip missing on the upper side. The bottom is missing a few larger chips. Interesting is. That the plate seems to be made out of copper and covered with porcelain. That clue is the best that came out of the damages! For auction. A really pretty antique vintage figurine marked Germany with company mark I could not find but photographed for you. She is hand painted and stands 5 1/2 inches tall. The paint is beautiful and there are no chips or cracks. This Victorian lady is sitting on a chair which has GErmany painted in gold on the underside and the company marking painted on the back of the chair. I do not know if this is a reproduction or is actually old but she is very pretty. It appears to be old, there is green felt on the bottom of the chair legs. History Porzellanfabrik Unger. Schneider& Cie. 1859 until 1885) Based on a ducal concession. The businessman Carl Schneider(who had worked at the Wallendorf factory for some time) together with modelling artist Karl Unger and businessman Hermann Hutschenreuther founded their business in 1859. As Hutschenreuther was a sleeping partner. His name does not appear in the company name until 1885. At first the company only produced tableware. Miniature sets for children and a few kitchen utensils, mostly decorated in the cobalt blue'Zwiebel- and'Strohblumenmuster' styles which sometimes included gilding. But unlike many other facilities they did not simply copy existing designs but rather used their own creativity and started with export fairly early, which was soon rewarded as the first international award was received 1875 at the ... moreExposición Internacional de Chile(Santiago World Fair) The success also showed a problem as the first marks that had been used looked similar to the marks used earlier by the factory in Gießhübel. Following the increasing popularity due to further awards during the Exposition Universelle(Paris World Fair) in 1878 it was decided to have the mark officially registered. The registration was filed on March 3rd 1879 at the'Herzogliches Landgericht Gräfenthal' Ducal District Court) and the first items showing the mark carrying the'Dep. addition were seen at the World Fair 1879 in Sydney, where the company yet again received an award for their products. Antique Chelsea Samson SPOTTED CAT- 19th Century - Marked Germany w /Gold Anchor
Offered for sale is a delightful little miniature figurine marked Chelsea Samson. This exquisite piece carries the gold anchor mark on the top of the base at the rear. The gold anchor mark is between the darling yellow and black spotted cat's tail and the top of the green plinth it is seated on. It measures approximately 2. 1/2" tall with a 2" x 1 1/4" oval base. This piece was made in and marked in gold GERMANY on the underside. The gold anchor mark was typically used by the Chelsea factory in England in the 18th Century. Edme Samson and his son. Emile, built their business by making copies of items from the famous factories of the day such Chelsea, Derby, Meissen and Sevres, French faience and even Chinese wares. This is a very rare antique German"Snow Baby" figurine by Galluba and Hofman dating between 1897 and 1910(according to the mark on the bottom of the figurine- please see pic.8. It has G and H mark. And impressed 4 digit number that starts with 269- and an incised number 8) The term"snow baby" refers to the crushed porcelain added to the figurine. This is beautifully hand painted with delicate facial features. Smal antique ceramic girl figurine with basket UNUSUAL marked on bottom
Beautiful and special little ceramic figurine. Hand made in some workshop or factory probably in the 1890s. Unusual pencil markings on the bottom. But very fine pottery work in the basket and etched in the face, shoulders, etc. It measures only 5 inches high. English, French, German, American? I have no idea but it is lovely!
