Beautiful Mid Century Chrome Table Base This remarkable piece was just polished to remove most accessible oxidation an d reveal that 1950s chrome lust er! This unique table base was purchased at an e state in Ann Arbor. MI. and the finish can't be beat! There are two sep a rate sets of holes in the top of the base to be able to accommodate different tops, one set of four on the outer edge. And a nother set of 8 on the inner wall structure. The larger base of the piece measures 24" a cross. The top is 19 3/4" across. The height is 28 1/2" There is a little scuffing and a few scratches here and there. But the overall appearance is great for the age. With the prep wor k already done for you. All that is left is to put a great top on! Vintage 50s Blue Ice Formica Chrome Kitchen Table w Leaf
This is a 50s formica table. With blue ice top and chrome sides and legs, it seats 4 as is or pulls apart for a leaf(which is included) to seat 6. the chrome around edge is great shine no rust, the legs were rusty and instead of using nevr-dull which would make them shiny we painted with aluminum paint which is now chipping in places as shown. the top has a pot burn mark as shown and a small hole as shown, we had a centerpiece and napkin holder hiding the flaws. the leaf top is great the chrom slides on and off for easier storage, but we had it a little to close to the steam heat and it damaged the back wood of the leaf as shown, it's underneath. otherwise good used vintage condition. The glass is 3/4" thick and is massive. The visiable area of the glass is in excellent condition, there are two corners that have small chips but they are way inside the columns and not visible while in use. The columns are made from polished aluminum and are in good vintage condition showing normal wear. If desired, you could polish these cylinders up to a mirror finish. Circa 1960's 1970's- Cocktail glass coffee table Mirror chrome finish Beveled polished glass 3/4" thick 48" x 24" x 15.5" Chrome 3/8" x 2" No expense spared in furnishing of executive offices at a now closed facility in Kentucky. This premium table features two solid chrome legs that causes the glass to be floated in mid air. It is exceptionally sturdy. The 3/4" thick glass is beveled and polished and very much capable of supporting an extraordinary amount of weight. The legs feature green felt to hold the glass and you will note the brackets are cut themselves to ensure the cut edges of the glass fit snug. Each of the four brackets have three plastic screws that hold the bracket against the glass. We note a few of these plastic screws are worn and of no use. However with 12 screws in total, only ... more8 are needed to 100% properly hold the glass in place and this is the case. Up, and lock in place from under the table. To put back you pull them up, down, and push under table. Pic 9 gives you an idea of putting the leaf back under table. Both ways of pulling/pushing is stiff. The legs had no bottoms(see pic 1) I bought the white rubber bottoms to put on table legs. The table has been cleaned/waxed. For sale is an awesome vintage 1970's chrome spiral table with glass top. It measures about 14 inches across and about 19 inches high. The top and base are chrome circles with a chrome spiral connecting them. The chrome is in excellent shiny condition without any pitting but does show some minor scuffs and scratches. As you can see from the pictures does not interfere with the overall beauty of piece. The glass top is in excellent condition without any chips or cracks. I bought this at a sale where the owners of a home were selling many of their high end pieces that they had bought during the 70's when they first starting housekeeping. Large Vintage French Deco Moderne Airline Chrome Glass Coffee Cocktail Table.
I purchased this 55" Dia. by 16" tall beveled 1/4" glass on Chrome coffee table in Los Angeles from a french Dealer(Shapes Gallery) who specialized in unusual and high end modern French items mostly from Paris. This piece was custom made for the lobby of a French aircraft factory. You can see the"propeller and engine" reference looking down on it. The blown domed glass base completes the picture. It kind of struck me as it was so unusual and very expensive to manufacture. Exceptionally well made and on hidden wheels. Usual light scratches to the chrome and glass typical of it's age. Mid century Modern Dining Table 3/4" thick glass top chrome legs x base vintage
40" glass diameter- 3/4" thick glass top polished edge 27" tall. SALE ENDS DECEMBER Shipping is via blanket wrap only and covers those states near WV including NYC. Please ask if uncertain. The maker of this X-Base and glass top dining table is unknown. The black frame is solid welded. The chrome legs attach to the frame. Rubber stoppers on the top support the glass and black plastic feet are inserted in the legs at the base. Chair shown for display purposes. The glass is 3/4" thick and exceptionally heavy. At the time of purchase the dining chairs had with them Gio Ponti chrome chairs with them but we do not think they were a set. The condition is used with some scratches to glass surface. The style reminds me of directional and Pace as there are not too many companies that sell items with 3/4" thick glass.
