Dating to around 1910. This lovely quite petite table is constructed of solid oak and has a beautiful tiger grain pattern. It has a warm. Mellow patina to its honey brown colouring. The table features fantastic grain patterns to the top surface. Achieved through the use of oak planks, rather than one piece of timber. It also gives it a more rustic, casual dining feel. It stands on lovely turned and fluted legs and has a substantial shaped stretcher base. The table will comfortably seat 4, or 6 people if smallish chairs are used. The table measures 120cm long. 89cm wide and the table surface is 77cm high. The table is in very good antique condition. Structurally strong and robust. It does have some scratching and bumps to the table surface, but these only add to the charm and character of the piece, and provide that more rustic feel- very chic! As with all quality antique and vintage furniture, age-appropriate wear and character marks should be expected. Since then, we've cleaned it without sacrificing any of it's character marks. There are chips. Nicks, and scratches in the wood, and the top also has scratches and nicks. The original mint green color has faded from the edges towards the center, which gives a nice, natural gradient effect. One of the legs is a bit loose. 120" long 37 1/2" wide 30" high Made from reclaimed 6"x 6" beams hand hewn and sawn. The top is from reclaimed barn flooring. Mortised and tenon construction with wood pins driven into the joints. The top varies in thickness from 1 1/2" to 2" a very heavy table. The finish is a light to medium brown color, with hand waxed surfaces. This table has the appearance of an antique with a worn course surface. This surface and finish is not for everybody. This is a one of a kind handmade piece. The square holes in the top show that this lumber was shipped down the Susquehanna River from Pennsylvania(circa pre 1860) The lumber was milled, then assembled into rafts and used to ship products down river to Port Deposit Md in the spring. I PURPOSELY USED THE WOOD STRIPS IN THE ORDER THAT THEY ARE SO THAT IT IS SOMEWHAT UNEVEN. THIS GIVES IT THAT OLD RUSTIC LOOK. IT HAS NOT BEEN POLYURETHANED. Contemporary Rococo Design Oval Shaped Beveled Glass Coffee Table with a Decorative Iron Base in a Rustic Bronze/Silver Patina. The table base rests on 4 bun style feet topped by large bent iron scrolls. Adorned with a detailed leaf contoured to the scroll. The 4 arms are the main support to the decorative iron structure beneath the glass, and the glass top itself. Vertically the arms are finished in a formed iron acorn shape which supports the glass top, and horizontal extends other scrolled iron rods that meet in the center of the table base; which is also topped by an acorn finial. The large scrolled design directly below the glass top is encased in a oval shaped smooth undecorated iron ring.
